Review 1：We had a good three days in Villard de Lans, staying at Hotel du Gerbier. The hotel was fine and well located in the centre of town, where there was an enjoyable jazz festival.

Review 2：Wouldn't let us cancel breakfast or compromise for partial cancellation the morning of after a change of plans. The bottom sheet had hair and dirt on it when we got there. Looked as if it hadn't been changed. No AC or fan and couldn't open the window because the bar below the hotel was too noisy. Slept horribly. Had to re-enter wifi password often as it automatically logged you out.

Review 4：The family room faced the main parking square and was above a busy late night bar. The noise was terrible and went on til the early hours. The room was not clean -we found earwigs and bed covers covered in dust. We paid extra for the breakfast, it was expensive and the coffee was disgusting and undrinkable - from a self service machine.

Review 12：the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We were visiting from Canada and they were extremely helpful in every regard. The breakfast room was pleasant and welcoming and the breakfast very good. The hotel is very convenient for the ski hills (there is a shuttle bus which runs regularly almost outside the door of the hotel)

Review 13：I miss not having tea or coffee making facilities in the room as it is refreshing to have a hot drink after a long journey, especially as we found all cafes and restaurants closed, except for a creperie, when we went out to look for a meal at 8.30!

Review 15：This small hotel, right in the center of Villard de Lans, is a very nice place, with free parking directly across the street. Many points of interest were within easy walking distance. The room was clean, with a wonderful view of the mountains above. The owners are a very hard-working couple who live on the premises with their young son. They were quite attentive to any of our needs. The breakfast was good, and provided plenty of nourishment for the day. We would reurn to this hotel if we ever travel through that part of France again.
