Reviews for Hôtel du Parc
Review 1:The receptionist was extremely rude and unpolite to us. I thought I had already paid the room via the booking site so I was a bit surprised when he asked me to pay. He started right away seeking to us in the most unpolite way. I never experienced asked ytring like this before.
Review 2:Staircase only to third floor, fairly difficult with a large case.
Review 3:Good breakfast. Day staff very helpful. Nice new refurbished shower room. Twin room good size. Easy to get into Paris via local metro. Good variety of restaurants in Malakoff.
Review 4:juste la literie un peu molle ...
Review 5:le prix doux, le calme, la possibilité de dormir la fenetre ouverte, l'acceuil tardif, la salle de bain petite mais rénovée
Review 6:The wall of the rooms needs resurfacing and good coat of paint ..try and see if they can work on soundproofing. The shower was small but water was hot and high pressure.
Review 7:The location is within a small town with all you need a few mins away... the staff are friendly and available 24HRS... if check out early when travelling at night then you can leave your bags and go out for a few beers..close to a flea market held bi-weekly..clean rooms..trustworthy
Review 8:There is this frustrated guy in the reception always moody. understands us but intentionally replies in French. Not helpful at all. The heater in the room never works , i complained but no result I. Bathroom is so small that u cant lift your hand in the shower. do not go here!!!
Review 9:near to the metro like 20 mins to eiffel thats the only good
Review 10:Night shift not friendly at all, poor wi fi connection on the 3rd floor.
Review 11:Super clean room, very comfortable bed. Perfect location - calm neighborhood, close to metro station. I adore Malakoff for my stays in Paris. Great value for the money!
Review 12:the staff was poor in service especially the front office, they were lack in languages and only can speak french...
Review 13:location is near to the paris expo porte de versailles and surrounded by restaurants and there was a supermarket that opened until midnight
Review 14:The bed wasn't especially comfortable, and there is almost no soundproofing - you can hear keys turning in locks, doors opening, televisions in other rooms, faucets running, etc... Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
Review 15:The staff were friendly and helpful, they got my room ready very quickly despite being several hours ahead of check-in. It's a very quiet neighborhood just a two minute walk from the metro. It was very clean and lots of hot water for the shower.
Review 16:The receptionist was rather disgruntled and didn't take us to our room. The room was pretty small, as was the bathroom. One morning there was no hot water.
Review 17:Good location, close to the station, an excellent boulangerie and many shops. Plently of towels available in the bathroom. The shower was Reasonable (free) WiFi
Review 18:Main thing is the lack of the elevator. Second is the rudeness of the receptionist who was on duty on the evening of the 7th July. I booked the room for 2 persons, and when my friend arrived after some shopping, he just wouldn't let her in. He even spread his arms as to not let her pass to the stairs, loudly telling her that this room is only for one person. He wouldn't call my room to see if that is true (because the phone on the room wasn't working) and he kept her downstairs for half an hour until he realized his mistake. After which he didn't even apologize to her. It was the rudest behavior I have seen.
Review 19:The room although quite small was clean. The neighborhood was quiet and green. It's mainly residential area, and it's not in Paris. The metro and tram is close to the area.
Review 20:In hotel no elevator very difficult to carry heavy luggage up to 3rd floor. Furniture was very old.
Review 21:Location is good near to Malakoff metro station.
Review 22:Cleanliness
Review 23:Perfect
Review 24:Everything,,,, but the very bad is 75euro for the roum 17 is crazy never again
Review 25:Nothing
Review 26:Isolation of the noise is bad. The area doesn't feel safe in the evening.
Review 27:has access to subway
Review 28:Not applicable
Review 29:Location is good & near to Metro Station
Review 30:Friendly staff. Located in amazingly beautiful area.
Review 31:wi-fi
Review 32:Very small room. Parking in a multi story around 15€ per night
Review 33:Very helpful staff
Review 34:old furniture and decoration.
Review 35:Good quiet location, nice outdoor terrace near to metro.
Review 36:poor customer service Uncomfortable bed Cover bed sheets not in white
Review 37:Wifi
Review 38:No lift.small staircase.breakfast very bad
Review 39:Room too small. No insulation between rooms (hear neighbors).
Review 40:Location.
Review 41:Kindness of the staff, the breakfast, teh location near the subway and the price
Review 42:There are no comments available for this review
Review 43:The room, and there's No Elevator going up
Review 44:Nothing to like cause the room they showing on net is nothing like the room we got
Review 45:Room very small. They gave us a larger one when we asked. Impossible to sleep "late" in the morning, as the noise of the showers from the other rooms is very loud. Starting 7:30 am
Review 46:Silence at night Close to underground
Review 47:room very very small, toilet, basin and shower in about 2 square meter only... Could brush my teeth.. overall the feeling is not good at all. I have to go in Malakof area fir duty trips from time to time, but I will look first for other options.
Review 48:Quiet.
Review 49:No lift and we were on the third floor. Not bad for a couple with a combined age of over 150. If there is a next time no higher than the first floor please.
Review 50:Location
Review 51:Staff was not really nice. The level is really basic. What I heard fromothers staying at nearby other hotels as same price and standart soundedbetter than what I got.
Review 52:I had to stay at closeby insea - for this it was really useful. Also, the beds and sheets were fine. For the price, it was okay.
Review 53:My room was at third floor with no lift and a typical steep "parisienne" staircase. Narrow streets in the area, parking difficult; public transport recommended.
Review 54:Simple hotel, in a very quiet area, close to the Metro. The room and halls were rather small, as normal in Paris. Free WiFi Internet but rather slow. Breakfast above Paris standard; reasonable price.
Review 55:I am not a large person however to fit into the shower the opening was so small that I had to put myself sideways to enter the shower between the two sliding doors. Difficult to find restaurants that were open for an evening meal in the village of Malakoff
Review 56:Hotel was clean and close to Metro Station that I could get to central Paris within 20 minutes
Review 57:-you get what you (don't) pay for... so for a 2 star hotel it's normal I guess: just expect that the room is smaller and the walls/doors not very soundproof -no lift in the hotel and with a narrow staircase -i've seen bigger bathrooms :)
Review 58:-nearby metro station (5min walk) -nearby grocery -the Malakoff city part looks quiet and safe -i've seen smaller bathrooms :) -overall value for money is good and when visiting the city, you don't spend time at the hotel anyway...
Review 59:Rooms are small but that is standard. Ok though cause all we were doing was sleeping there after days in Paris. Could be difficult to get to by bus if you are not sure but the metro is quick anyway so take that
Review 60:Out of Paris but close to station to walk to in 5 minutes.
Review 61:Bathroom a bit neglected, problems with the toilet flush. TV wasn't working. The stairs and a lack of a lift might be problematic for older guests.
Review 62:Nice area, close to the metro station. We found the beds very comfortable. Kind and helpful staff.
Review 63:biggest problem was the noises from the neighbor room! clearly you here the TV, Water heater's sound, Bathroom waters ...
Review 64:Position of the hotel was perfect, staff had friendly behavior, the price is also perfect, the breakfast was delicious, the shops are close, also there are some cofe for breakfast just in neighbor
Review 65:Hotel hasn't a lift.
Review 66:Hotel locate in calm region. There clean, staff is friendly, breakfast is tasty with different meals. Wi-Fi is working normal and free. The metro "Malakoff" is near, 7-10 minutes of walking and 20-25 minutes to center with 1 change of line. Municipal parking is 100 meters away.
Review 67:1,No lift and the stairs are deep. 2.Hard to find for the first time.3,Room is wayyyy too small (putting a suitcase on the floor left noplace to walk). 4,The man from the front desk is rude to some extent.Making me so uncomfortable. 5, not even close to the picture. There's almost no flowers at all.
Review 68:Not far from metro station
Review 69:No lift and one has to drag luggage up very narrow and unstable staircase Room size is uncomfortably small Bed was uncomfortable due to de-shaped mattress.
Review 70:It is located in Paris downtown, several shops and restaurant in neigborghood, and you can get in Paris center in 25 minutes with metro. The staff is very nice and helpfull, paying with bank card was OK. The breakfast not only croissant and coffee or tee, but bagett, fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese, cake, dried fruit. We had hydromassage shower int the bathroom :))
Review 71:very old , no elevator, not very good service. it looked from the photos much better than the situation we found, extremely small bathroom, a bigger person cant take a shower.
Review 72:only the position
Review 73:the hotel rooms and especially bathrooms are worn out and shabby and the hotel needs renovation for very long; hot and cold water are not good (too scarce); it were cold in the room; stars are very narrow and neckbreaking if you come with big bags; wifi finishes by itself every 1 hour, you need to login again and again.
Review 74:5-10 minutes by walk to paris metro. very quiet and clean paris suburb. not very high price of rooms. i would not call personal very friendly, but they are still OK.
Review 75:No lift and with big luggage to carry to 3rd floor it was difficult and it is not so near from the metro station to the hotel.
Review 76:The room is clean and with tea making facilities. Bed is very comfortable, bathroom is spacious. Quiet neighborhood.
Review 77:I am not sure if it is worth for 60Euros since I dont have idea aboutother hotels & prices. But this is definitely not recommended if youare travelling with a kid. There is absolutely no stretching space!! Wehad to wlk over the luggages to reach the toilet and move the luggage toopen the door. It was so cramped and no lift too. So carrying all theluggages to 3rd floor is a pain.
Review 78:Room too narrow, as well as the shower place. One or two computers available for customers would have been appreciated.
Review 79:The kindness and smile of the staff. Their readiness to help. Easy to reach the subway. Proximity shops. Market place so close.
Review 80:All Paris hotel could use beach to bring the level of clean whereI'd feel better. Like most in Paris, all is fairly worn out withoutmuch investment since the 1970'S.
Review 81:Nice staff. No elevator. Quite area of Paris near the Expo Center. Greatvalue. Ok breakfast. Typical Paris hotel in a section of town that isnot a bad , close choice. All you need to sleep and then go. Internetworked ok . Beds good. Third floor was quite.
Review 82:The room isnt big euough, but ok. only issue is that this hotel doesnt have a lift, so carrying heavy bag in spiral staircase is a difficult task. other than this everything else excellent.
Review 83:Liked the hospitality of the staff. very friendly. The best is the house keeping, the sole lady did an excellent and very neat job. the location is great, away from busy city yet reachable by metor and metro is very near. calm locality, peaceful. we stayed with our one year old kid. The hotel did arrange for a kid bed too. very good and comfortable. Extra mutiplug adapter was provided in the room.
Review 84:The room was small and smelled like smoke for the first few days. The staff spoke almost no English. The room was too cold until heat was requested. Had to pay for WiFi after one free hour. Had to pay for breakfast.
Review 85:Close proximity to the metro. Good maid service. Good shower.
Review 86:We asked for a babybed when we booked a room. Upon arrival at the hotelagain asked for the babybed and was told the bed would be in the room.At night no babybed in the room. The guy at the desk knew nothing andpretended he had never heard of a babybed. So for us a bad night withbaby in a small bed ...
Review 87:Alles was schoon en het ontbijt goed.
Review 88:It wasn't the fanciest hotel, and there is no elevator, but for the price and location, it was a good choice for our group. I would come back again.
Review 89:The hotel is 300m from a metro stop (line 13) so it was very easy to get into Paris. There is also a cafe right around the corner that offers breakfast, as well as a little grocery store (Dia) nearby. The rooms were pretty nice for a Paris hotel. It was small compared to American standards, but bigger than other places I have stayed in Paris. They also kindly included tea/coffee and a water heater right in our room! The staff was friendly and helpful, and did an especially good job at explaining where to park our car.
Review 90:The rooms are tiny! Both my friend and I r petite women and we just about had enough room to function in the room.
Review 91:The room was clean and the staff were helpful. I felt safe in the hotel.
Review 92:The hotel needs a face lift. Its showing its age.
Review 93:I chose this hotel because it was close to were I needed to work for a few days. The good points about the hotel: the shower had piping hot water. The staff on the desk could speak basic english, enough to get by with what I needed. The breakfast service was fast, clean and tidy. All the things about the staff were OK, very friendly sort of place. Its easy to get to the underground from this hotel, 10 minute walk at the most. The hotel is basic and cheap. No lift, very steep and tight stair cases and it could do with a general facelift. What they have they clean, but its starting to show its age. Bedding etc clean, towels etc clean. Wall paper at the end of its life. Wifi free but did not always work.
Review 94:non cooperative staff when owner is there, he is very good and friendly when owner is not there, the staff is very arrogant one of the persons not even willing to discuss and understand what we want to say. he only sais :No No English, being a hotel service industry, and being able to accommodate foreign travelers is poor. staircase was small, and no lift until 3rd floor.
Review 95:low price
Review 96:The morning and day desk worker is great, but the one that works late atnight isn't as nice. Could just be that he is not getting his sleep!
Review 97:Parc Even is in the great neighborhood of Malakoff. It's peaceful, safe, and welcoming. After visiting Sacré-Cœur, I can safely say I'm very gladI stayed were I did and not north of Gare de Nord. If you're looking fora great place to stay in a nice area, then don't look any further thanParc Even. The staff was friendly, breakfast was tasty (nothing toospecial, but still a great start to the day), and the room was tidy. Thedouble rooms have their own bathrooms.
Review 98:Our bathroom needed a serious makeover.
Review 99:Turned out malakoff is a nice quiet suburb not without charm - felt goodto return to the quietness after a hectic day in paris. Friendly staff -although mostly only french speaking. Absolutely not great luxory, butdefinitely good value. Cheap parking close by - 10 euro per day. Metronearby - count on app. 20 tranport to paris (I.E. champs elysses, whichis on the line 13 going to Malakoff)
Review 100:Forget the hospitality. And the cleaning staff really did a strange job"cleaning" our room every day. They would put our loose clothes/shoesback in the nearest bag or purse where they don't belong... How did mytoothpaste and shampoo end up in my purse? It was like a wild goosechase trying to find our stuff we needed for the next day when we gotback to the hotel. Totally unnecessary and inconvenient so we told thestaff not to clean our room for the remainder of our stay.
Review 101:Got the job done. If you're looking for nothing more than a roof overyour head at night, you've found the right place.
Review 102:We had a room on the 3rd floor and found it quite challenging to make itup the stairs even though we are relatively young and fit. The breakfastwas 8 Euros and did not feel it was value for money.
Review 103:The hotel is situated in a quiet, safe neighbourhood that made a welcomeretreat from the busy and rather expensive city. Super market, Pizzeriaand local Restaurants all within a short walk. The bed was very cleanand comfortable. Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Intotality the experience was very good for the price we paid.
Review 104:One staff member was rather unhelpful when we requested some glasses forthe room, the plastic tumblers having been removed by the cleaningstaff. One day the room was not cleaned though on other days thecleaning was thorough and quite acceptable. Tea and coffee in the roomwas poor and not replaced when used.
Review 105:The room was clean and comfortable and there was a kettle in the room.Breakfast was good. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming.Excellent location close to metro station.
Review 106:Its open 24 hours, anyone can check in or check out anytime which ismake difference than some of other hotels in Paris. You can check in evenmidnight. Staffs are very friendly. We needed to urgently bookedeurostar tickets at midnight and receptionist allow us to use thecomputer and booked the ticket. Thanks to mr basem for that. Cleanerlady is also nice. Clean everything properly.
Review 107:- Very hard to communicate with the staff that is not speaking English.- A very strange warning "Eating and drinking in the room is strictly forbidden" made sense the first morning, when we woke up invaded by ants. We were evetually given another room. - The hotel has no elevator, with narrow stairs; they offered help with the luggage at check-in, but none when we left, claiming they are too busy. It was very difficult to carry a suitcase down those narrow stairs. - The rooms are very small, with no much room to put the suitcases anywhere or to sit down. - Bathroom with very poor lighting, hard to shave or to see anything in the mirror. - They are asking for full payment for the entire stay, although they charged in advance - at booking time - a 25% deposit.
Review 108:The only positive thing about the hotel is its proximity to themetro station.
Review 109:We landed at Beauvais and this hotel is too far from it, it took us 2 hours from the airport to the hotel and it was too much for a 3-day holiday.
Review 110:I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend from Friday-Sunday (2 nights). The staff is really nice and smiling. On Sunday morning they let us leave our baggages in the hotel, because our flight would leave in the evening. The reception is 24/7. The rooms are quite little, but clean. The metro station is near and it took us less than 20 minutes to arrive to Montaprnasse Bienvenue. It's OK for a week-end.
Review 111:The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not speak Frenchfluently and they were very willing to guide us. We really enjoyed thepetite dejeuner and the neighborhood of Malakoff - very relaxing for us.
Review 112:1. The staff speak very little English, the means of communication is Google translate - unbelieveable. No help can be expected. 2. No lift, narrow stairs. Very difficult to carry a suitcase. 3. Our room was so small that we had to put the suitcase under the bed. Very little place where to put things. 4. Bothroom - broken curtain around the shower, no ventilation, poor lighting - nearly impossible to see anything in the mirror. The same for the bedroom. 5. On the third day we had to ask to have our room cleaned. Shouldn´t it be done automatically? 6. "Free wi-fi" is limited to 1 hour, then you must do all the process of getting access ti the Internet again. 7. The price on the web is higher than the price declared on the spot. However, you have to pay the higher money at the very beginning for all the stay. 8. Very strange warning "Eating and drinking in the room is strictly forbidden". I´ve never experienced anything like this.
Review 113:Hardly anything, maybe quite a quiet place.
Review 114:Big minus - insulation ... or rather its absence. The conversation in the next room was heard very well. But in the case you have problems with loud neighbors, staff will help. Money for the entire stay were charged on arrival. A bathrobe was with holes and without a belt (gowns were not changed).
Review 115:Staff was always trying to find a common language, even if there were problems with English... We even used online translators. It takes only 15 minutes to reach the hotel from the center of Paris by metro and then it's less than than 5 minutes to walk to the hotel. Located in the south of the city, so it's close to Versailles and the Chateaux on the Loire. Breakfast is sufficient ... not only a croissant and coffee, as in some other hotels in Paris. In two minutes walking distance is central square of the district Malakoff with two supermarkets. There is electric teapot in the room. Even in April it was possible to use heating, which was nice due to rains and cold weather. Linen was changed daily. View on a tiny park.
Review 116:Very small rooms, no elevator and narrow staircase (may me a real problem for a woman with a heavy luggage)
Review 117:Low price, good situation (300 metres to a metro but silent neighbourhood), free internet, cheap at business days and free for holidays underground parking, restaurant and food shop is quite near
Review 118:Not easy to find a parking near the hotel, especially in the evening, but actually it was not a big problem. There is no lift, so it isquite difficult if you have a heavy luggage and your room is at thethird floor.
Review 119:Very good location, clean rooms, very polite staff, in particular youngboy (about 12 years old, son of somebody from the staff), open during 24hours, summer terrace.
Review 120:Everything. Worst place in Europe.
Review 121:Terrible. Bad attitude. They rejected a package that was sent to me eventhough I was a guest arriving that day. Never never never stay here. Paymore and stay anywhere else.
Review 122:Nothing to like unless you like a room that is 33 degrees andthin blankets.
Review 123:Arrived to a freezing cold room. As it was late, no choice. Room neverheated up. Cancelled the second night and clerk said ok, but no idea ifthey will charge my card or not. Not worth risking a second chance here.
Review 124:The room was small, and the bathroom even smaller, however, that did not detract from the price, location and friendly staff
Review 125:The staff were excellent - carrying our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs for us. Breakfast was enjoyable and a wide range of continental items were available. It is located a 3 minute walk from the nearest Metro station and there were also a few local restaurants around as well.
Review 126:the breakfast was not good
Review 127:the room, eventhough small, was excellent
Review 128:clean quiet and good for take a rest, and have weekend market near hotel.
Review 129:everything. I recommend this hotel only if this is the last one available in Paris.
Review 130:nothing
Review 131:eveythink was ok for me.
Review 132:one grumpy concierge, coffe
Review 133:breakfast
Review 134:Very small room. Old furnishings in need of updating.
Review 135:The staff kindness, the breakfast, the price and the small distance to the subway (line13) just 1 block from Paris.
