Reviews for Rincón Sol

Review 1:Hotel has limited parking (maybe 15spaces ?) be prepared to park elsewhere , we parked in the underground car park (24hr €7) 10 min walk.

Review 2:Location great Hotel super Nice breakfast Pleasant staff

Review 3:Hotel is "TIRED" and in need of redecoration and refurbishment.

Review 4:Access to Beach, to town and to restaurants was brilliant. A very "Spanish" hotel in a very "Spanish" holiday resort.

Review 5:a bit of frustration: there were cockroaches in the bathroom - shall be fixed somehow

Review 6:work of cleaning ladies; breakfast was good and price /perfomance as well

Review 7:Noise from the road at the front of the hotel Parking was an issue Décor could do with updating

Review 8:The location is right on the beach. Only stayed 1 night, but breakfast was very good the following morning. Staff were helpful.

Review 9:Bathroom would require an urgent renewal - especially the bath-tub. AC has no control only on-off by a clamp-switch, and unusual location of AC - mounted on the wall 1 m (100cm) from bed...

Review 10:Perfect location for beach holiday and for visiting Malaga also. 50 m from the beach, free parking, bus station in front of the hotel, Malaga is 30 min bus ride. Various bars and restaurants and shops 20 m from hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, good English and German.

Review 11:Beds creaky No attempt at soundproofing the windows. Bin collections in the early morning were far too noisy to sleep through. Waiters inattentive and disinterested. So called "snack Bar" didn't serve snacks just meals.

Review 12:The location and the cleanliness

Review 13:Breakfast not so good! We checked out at 12 but left at 7pm...did look after bags but noticeable difference in customer service once checked out!

Review 14:Location super...right on beach...lots of lovely little bars

Review 15:- Great location (right by the beach and in the middle of the village) - Very friendly and helpful staff - Great view from the balcony overlooking the ocean

Review 16:Only one thing spoils this hotel and that is the hot breakfast was never hot just Luke warm

Review 17:Loved the location , friendly staff . Very clean and comfortable

Review 18:Having stayed for a week the evening dinner menu was a bit boring. Only poor salad or chips to accompany meal.

Review 19:Very helpful staff location good breakfawst

Review 20:The restaurant is not heated in winter. In december it is realy too cold for the evenings, and dinner starts too late, at 19.3O. A pity little dogs are not allowed in the hotel.

Review 21:Perfect location, nice vieuw from balcony on seaside, nice big room, quiet hotel, good service.Good wifi, even on the highest floor.

Review 22:The hotel could not be in a better location, directly on the busy promenade in the very Spanish town of Rincon de la Victoria. It is just far enough from Malaga to be convenient but suitably distant to have its own character

Review 23:The room we was given was not what it should have been. Tiny room with no airconditioning but was moved the next day to the room we should have had. We have been several times to this hotel so new what to expect. We booked a double seaview room with aircondtioning as we usually do. We was put in the old part of the hotel, I hope no one else has to endure that heat as you cannot sleep, it is always very hot in august.

Review 24:hotel is on the beach

Review 25:The staff was not very helpful. The wifi was ok at best. The shower was so small I almost didn't fit into it. The place is a bit runned down but I would still stay there again.

Review 26:I liked the fact that it was right on the beach and it had great views of the beach. It was near everything including restaurants, super market, etc...

Review 27:The hot room

Review 28:The view

Review 29:Great location. Clean, friendly staff.

Review 30:Decent breakfast, helpful staff, sea view.

Review 31:Nothing. Was all good. Maybe coffee making facilities in room?

Review 32:Clean warm, comfortable. Good buffet breakfast. Lovely view.

Review 33:No all good

Review 34:Location right on the beach with lots of tapas bars on your doorstep

Review 35:Room needs attention

Review 36:Location

Review 37:large bedrooms with great sea views.

Review 38:The room didn't leave much space, bathroom standard was a little old.

Review 39:Staff gave a good service, fairly good standard in the room and bathroom

Review 40:diner a bit expensive

Review 41:The see view

Review 42:Nada en especial.

Review 43:Primera linea de playa.

Review 44:coming home

Review 45:the staff,the room,the hotel..

Review 46:Reception staff excellent

Review 47:My 12th stay and i love the place.

Review 48:Rude manner of barman at cheringito.

Review 49:Sea view (€10 extra per nite)but it worth it.

Review 50:Good location and good friendly service.

Review 51:is not clean

Review 52:Area

Review 53:wifi performance was terrible air condition was only on/off (i.e. no possibility to tune the temperature)

Review 54:Central location

Review 55:Real Spanish resort

Review 56:Where t was right on the beach and right next to all the great restaurants and shops.

Review 57:Bed too hard

Review 58:Lovely spacious room with fantastic view.

Review 59:location and scenery

Review 60:We liked our balcony onto the sea frontage. There was a reasonable choice (cold buffet) for breakfast. The staff were very pleasant.

Review 61:A very special, uniquely Spanish village with a vibrant yet calming atmosphere - the hotel is always a pleasure to go back to

Review 62:All aspects

Review 63:Nothing

Review 64:We liked everything about the hotel and surrounding area.

Review 65:Rooms a bit tired. Needs update but did not detract from overall stay

Review 66:Excellent position straight onto beach

Review 67:buffet breakfast was cold.

Review 68:liked location,very clean room,friendly staff.

Review 69:The buffet breakfast was cold

Review 70:Extremely helpful and efficient staff

Review 71:air conditoner

Review 72:Location and restaurant was in English which was suitable for me

Review 73:- overall everything is really nice - superior location

Review 74:Staff very atencious Parking in front of the hotel - keys in the reception

Review 75:nothing

Review 76:nice and friendly preople exellent service good breakfast nice atmosphere room with a view take the seaside!! practicly on the beach

Review 77:The location is excellent- right on the beach and in the town. Numerous restaurants and bars and a good balcony.

Review 78:everything

Review 79:I suggest providing the restaurant with a microwave oven, so the guests can use it, mainly at breakfast time: the fried eggs and hot drinks need heating badly! The mosquitoes are a horrible nuisance in the restaurant at night! So beware: shorts and short sleeves are absolutely not recommended at dinner time!

Review 80:This is our fourth stay at this hotel this year, and I can say that the place, the people and everything seem to be in good shape. Despite the delicatess shown by Pepe, a marvelous gentleman and waiter, I guess FREE BUFFET would be a much better option than the menu approach. Apart from this, everything is great.

Review 81:A very nice modern beach-front hotel on the Costa del Sol. Large room, comfortable, and lots of nice restaurants up and down the beach. Only there one night, but the surf of Med. Sea will last a lifetime.

Review 82:Parking is very limited & must be a nightmare in season - goes with the territory though.

Review 83:Good overnighter after flight to Malaga. Beachfront setting great for evening promenade & choosing restaurant easily. Hotel is somewhat soulless but served its purpose well for us.

Review 84:Car parking - bit of a lottery and if you cannot get outside hotel you might have a fair walk from where you could eventually park your car. Breakfast was cold - complained but just shrugged it off!!

Review 85:Location - had a 5th floor sea view room, excellent. Right on the beach side esplanade

Review 86:Despite the numerous pros, the hotel seems to suffer some technical defects as concerns the Wi-Fi, which remains a big problem, mainly for those - as in our case - whose sole attach to their folks is achieved through the net. No matter how often we complained, the promises made by the kind ladies at the reception did not help much. I do believe it is just a matter of material, which needs to be reinstalled in better quality. TWO routers, rather than one, could be enough for each floor, with more debit on the line. It is MEAN also to charge the hotel customers with three Euros to have access to the beach Sombrias, which I believe should be FREE. One Euro for the towels is OK, however.

Review 87:The hotel location is just great with direct step on the beach. The food is good, and the services are somehow well done. The view from the balcony - with direct sight of the Mediterranean, as in our case - is but rewarding. Waking up to the sounds of the waves and the seagulls is a marvel indeed! Pepe, the mature delicate gentleman with spectacles at the restaurant does a great job with tact and professionalism.

Review 88:Rooms, although comfortable needed updating. Colour scheme throughout the hotel was drab, needs a lift of colour.

Review 89:Staff were very helpful and pleasant, always a welcoming smile. Also very efficient.

Review 90:can be noisy, late night revellers, waves crashing onto beach, machines cleaning the beach. Hotel was a little dated. Parking on site limited, secure parking some distance away.

Review 91:Good location next to beach. Ample breakfast. Access to promenade with lots of bars and restaurants. very Spanish feel.

Review 92:Some waiters lack professionalism and tact as concerns their waiting on the customers in the restaurant. The old one with spectacles is, howeverr, a model of education and delicatess. The foods need labels so the customers wouldn't confuse pork with turkey and other kinds. We had a little bad surprise once in our room as we faced an intruding visitor one night: a little cockroach! But that was no harm at all. The hotel remains a very good residence.

Review 93:I was about to say EVERYTHING! Apart from a few tiny details which I have mentioned in the cons. The location, the warmth of the stuff and the strolls along the beach wet sands just a few yards away are just marvelous. The menus at the restaurants have been bettered so much compared to those of a couple of months ago.... We'll come back, God's willing!

Review 94:The cooked part of the breakfast was not particularly good - luke warm but the rest was good.

Review 95:Location by the beach Helpful and caring Reception staff Room overlooking the sea Lounge/bar areas

Review 96:The food, the food and the food! Oh, not breakfast, which is self-service, and which is good on the whole. But dinner is another thing. It is a menu stuff, and the dishes are almost the same every evening. Worse of all, there's hardly any salad, which is really surprising when Spain is among the best providers of vegetables and fruit in the world. A self-service buffet should fix it!

Review 97:Actually, the site is just marvelous. The hotel is situated on the beach, and the view from the room balcony is awesome. The style as well as the services are great, mostly. The rooms are well taken care of, and the airconditioning works well. Hopefully, my wife and I will go back for another stay God's willing.

Review 98:Nothing really

Review 99:The hotel is right on the beach. Perfect for a wander and to drink and eat. It is in a very Spanish resort, which was great Clean and friendly. Only half an hour from Malaga Airport

Review 100:Car parking. Price of "Menu"and not even with water ! Boringmenu/Not "a la carte" as stated.

Review 101:Sea view. Able to take meals outside. Breakfast bacon and eggs superb.

Review 102:- Room - very small - once you leave your suitcase in the room, you find it difficult to move around. (and we travelled for 3 days, so definitely not much stuff) - Wardrobe - dusty and unclean - i would not leave my clothes there - Bathroom - dirty - i find it rather unpleasant to find another's hair in the bidet upon arrival. - TV - only Spanish channels

Review 103:The breakfast in the morning was good - the only thing that was worth the money.

Review 104:Food ;poor use of fresh vegetables ,dishes could be undercooked or overcooked more variety needed with a better standrad;

Review 105:That it is a very Spanish resort ,no English themed bars or pubs; Good beach ,interesting esplande ,easy access to Malaga for flight or bus trip for days out; Staff efficient and reception staff`have a good grasp of English ;

Review 106:There were two types of rooms - sea view and street view. We were unlucky and had a room with street view. It was impossible to sleep because of street noise! We even were thinking to find another hotel...The street was a really main street with cars and tracks going all night... I guess sea view rooms do not have this problem. Breakfast was poor, for good coffee you should ask at a bar, because the one from coffee machines was very bad.. Glasses in the room and some plates in the restourant (breakfast) were dirty..

Review 107:The staff was nice and very helpful, dinners were very good, very close to the see.

Review 108:The location is great, Hotel staff extremely helpful, I have been several times now and always find them so, I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Review 109:There was a toxic smell in our room when we arrived and had to open all windows and doors. It was coming from the back of the fridge and it made us feel sick. Complained and after a bit of conversation we were found a new room. But management were not too keen on it. There are no tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel is tired and needs a refurbishment. Breakfast was ordinary.

Review 110:Nice staff and accommodating when things were not quite right. We had to be moved to another room but despite the hotel being busy they moved us. Position was good. The recommendation in 5 is difficult. There are some I would say yes to and others definitely not

Review 111:There was something wrong with water pipes on 5th floor. They were verynoisy, at night too. In the morning there were problems with water: itappeared and disappeared in the tap. Finally it was ok.And the wifi on the same 5th floor was very unstable. looks like too many clients and it the router just hung.

Review 112:CLose to the sea. Nice breakfast terrace with sea view. Rooms are bigand comfortable.

Review 113:Lack of consistent wifi in the bedroom - was available in public areas

Review 114:The sea views were fantastic and the food was good

Review 115:Very conveniently situated right on the beach and in the middle of Rincon - exactly what we wanted

Review 116:A bit oldfashioned hotel

Review 117:Location Nice sea view from room

Review 118:Some waiters'behavior at the restaurant with some customers only.

Review 119:Almost everything.

Review 120:Balcon view of the Mediterranean sea was great, no traffic between hotel and beech, staff very friendly, good value for money

Review 121:Corridor lighting inadequate. Bedroom furniture (seating) limited. No tea making facility.

Review 122:Friendly staff. Good value meals.

Review 123:All staff very gentle and care with people. Parking in front of the hotel is a plus value.

Review 124:super sea view
