Reviews for Best Western Suva Motor Inn
Review 1:For someone with walking difficulties all the stairs were a problem.
Review 2:It was convenient to the places I wanted to go to and was quiet. Staff were very helpful.
Review 3:The room was not nice. The shower curtain had mold on it. The bed sheets were dirty and when we asked to change them they brought a single sheet that was too small and had to make the bed ourselves. The room smelt un clean aswell. The restaurant took 45min to cook fish and chips. Overall it was overpriced and I would highly NOT recommend it. 0 stars from me.
Review 4:Price for 2 nights was expensive for 3.5 star accomodation. No lift access meant we had to carry heavy bags up and down 3 x floors. As an older woman, I found that challenging. Reception staff very nice but customer service was lacking. I made several requests for tea, but received none at all. My rental car and keys were left there for pick up. The rental car company was told it was not there. When I checked for keys, they were there. But reception staff could not find keys as they were not labelled. This oversight could have ended in unnecessary extra costs to car rental company.
Review 5:Good central location
Review 6:The location and water-slide...kids enjoyed it; Spacious rooms..and fully equipped self contained bedroom apartments. The staff were great and friendly.
Review 7:The bed had some ants in it and we got bit BAD! The whole hotel from top to bottom needs an upgrade, our room was strait out of 1976. Air conditioning was loud and barely worked, a ceiling fan helped but it was also very loud. Completely overpriced! Spend an extra $50-75 and get a decent hotel room in Suva, we heard The Holiday Inn was really good.
Review 8:Staff was ver friendly an helpful with our Bau Landing transfer.
Review 9:- Paid wifi - $5/half hour, $10/hour, $100/week - I stayed in two rooms - the first had no hot water. - On the cab ride to the hotel, the driver advised me not to walk around the nearby streets after dark because they're dangerous.
Review 10:The staff were incredibly friendly.
Review 11:Given our late hour check in, expected the apartment to be better prepared than it was. No matches for stove, no dish cloth, floors felt dusty and bathroom mouldy. Pots looked like they were 20 years old. Although notices were posted on the walls outside our apartment, drilling and maintenance works was all day causing our early checkout.
Review 12:Our flight arrived late evening and the security and front desk staff were helpful and friendly.
Review 13:The rooms are a bit shabby and not at all well equipped. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen but not enough utensils or cooking equipment, no plug or dishcloth. No hot water in the kitchen. Getting the shower to work was a bit of work. With a bit of investment in some of the smaller things, this place could be fantastic.
Review 14:The location was great - an easy walk into the city. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The pool was also a lot of fun! The hotel itself has a lovely setting around a pool with lots of lovely plants.
Review 15:i hope in the future they have elevators because it can be difficult carrying heavy suitcase down a long flight of stairs. it would be really helpful not only for visitors but also staff
Review 16:the location of the motel and also that there is always transport available. the staff are really friendly and helpful.
Review 17:I liked everything
Review 18:.The friendliness of all staff members .My visitors were able to be with me for a long period of time without any restriction by the staff . I was able to keep my extra luggage in the luggage room throughout my stay.
Review 19:- some rooms have only 100mm wide/high windows so room is dark, NOTE; 2 bedroom only have 1 air condt-unsuitable if you use other room. coolness does not reach kitchen in 2 bedroom, only front rooms over looking park have decent windows and a view,
Review 20:location, staff are friendly, well maintained and clean
Review 21:To me, everything was to satisfactory conditions There is a tiny differences, of not liking. That you have to pay for wifi
Review 22:Staff are so curtious and always welcome each and everyone of there guests with a Bula smile. Easy to communicate with, would go a mile to make you welcome to the hotel as a home away from home. Very clean indeed. Beds are comfortable and linen are changed daily. Kitchen staff are always there to serve you with there delicious meal, love the curry dish and the chutneys. Friendly person at the bar, and most of all the front desk staffs, who will help you with any questions about your stay or where to go to for night outs, restaurants and sight seeings. Not forgetting the cleaning staffs and the porters , very polite and always a smilling faceses, the trade mark of the friendly fijian people.
Review 23:I was allocated room 216, the shower taps needed replacement & water pressure was not strong.
Review 24:The staff are friendly and the place is easily accessible. It is located is a quite location so no noisy neighbour but easy walk to the Suva CBD.
Review 25:Bedside lights did not work. Leak under bathroom sink No sink plug Bath/shower arrangement old fashioned
Review 26:Courteous & friendly staff. Positive response to fix requested repairs Close to town
Review 27:Rooms were clean but just a little outdated. Also the high toilet just a visual issue but sometimes didn't flush properly.
Review 28:Pool with slide was good for my boy. Food and beverage price was good. Staff very friendly.
Review 29:The early closing for the bar and restaurant. Our business finished late on Saturday and when we got to the hotel at 10pm we couldn't buy a drink or have food as was closed.
Review 30:With an outside bar and restaurant next to the pool and water slide the facilities were awesome. The rooms were huge and a choice of bath or shower. Service was immediate and friendly.
Review 31:Whenever I am in Suva I always look at booking here first. Location is great, especially when I was there just recently..just in time for Hibiscus. I could walk down and see the festivities. Staff: The staff are lovely and always helpful. Rooms: Clean and comfortable. Location: Perfect. close to the CBD. Pool: Refreshing :) I love staying here. My boyfriend and I always book here before anywhere else. Very family-friendly place. You have to pay for WiFi but I don't mind. I am in Fiji..I don't need to be stuck on my laptop/Ipod on the internet for long.
Review 32:I was very disappointed in the restaurant. The dinner menu really needs looking at and they need to now how to cook it We would have eaten there more. But breakfast was yummy Staff were very friendly.
Review 33:The staff were great and very friendly. We were in fiji to visit family and to be able to bring them to the hotel for a swim was great.
Review 34:The house keepers always did a wonderful job of keeping our room clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient.
Review 35:We got robbed the night before we left and we got no support whatsoever from the hotel. The staff on duty came in after we reported the incident, called the police then left us in limbo. We had to call overseas for help. When we asked to see the GM, her response was she was busy with other things and will have to get back to us. Very dodgy people. Stay there only if you have no other option.
Review 36:The proximity to the city
Review 37:1) Rooms are dark, need proper lighting on the ceiling rather than along the bed rests. 2) Purchased Wi-Fi credits which did not work 3) Airconditioning was very bad, initially did not work and when it was fixed, did not feel the coolness 4) Food menu can be improved
Review 38:1)Location 2) flexible payment options
Review 39:The internet price was ridiculous. $5.00 for a half hour. It was 2.50 in town for an hour. The restaurant was out of a few things that seemed essential to some of the meals. Our door was left unlocked after room service cleaned it and someone used our shower. The bathroom smelled really bad like sewage the whole time we were there.
Review 40:The staff were really friendly and helpfull. The room service did a really good job turning over the room.
Review 41:The bathroom floor is always wet. The toilet bowl had a high level of water and also we had difficulty of turning the hot water. The room is very basic. Also the staff are very noisy. Not happy at all.
Review 42:Location is very convenient just few minutes walking distance to suva town.
Review 43:Gas stoves which needed to be lit with a match and the room smelled of leaking gas. Rotting bathroom door edges and water leaking from it causing pools of water at bathroom entrance. Bathtub clogs ups and takes a long time to drain. You wake up every morning with bugs and insects dead on the floor. Beds smelled. Bedsheets had marks on them. Pots had stains on them. Windows didn't have grills.
Review 44:Friendly staff. Exceptional customer service.
Review 45:None.
Review 46:I wanted to do shopping and I was guided to a shopping centre by the hotel staff.
Review 47:No taxi at airport at 9pm to meet us. Only had $100 fjd wifi cards. Breakfast very average.
Review 48:friendly staff. Staff helpful.
Review 49:Rooms need work
Review 50:Bar, Dining and Pool
Review 51:Unfortunately none.
Review 52:The friendly staff who were able to assist me with all the quiries that I had.

Review 73:Old and decripit furniture and fittings, old and dirty bathrooms.
Review 74:Friendly staff, comfortable beds.
Review 75:Great location at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were comfortable
Review 76:Love location Security guard was awesome guy What we paid is what we get
Review 77:The bathroom was very dirty. There was hair in the tub and also on the walls. The bathroom floor was wet as well.
Review 78:The staff were very friendly
Review 79:Facilities fit for a family
Review 80:Current state of the room
Review 81:Staff service
Review 82:The bed was too hard for my liking
Review 83:Convenient location
Review 84:The taps on our showers were not very good and difficult to control the hot and cold water. Very minor problem though and very pleased with overall stay.
Review 85:Very good value. Really friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Good location with a police station right nearby. Gates are closed at night with a watchman to let guests in. Very secure and good for a family hotel.
Review 86:They did not accept the booking, claimed they had no record of the booking and that the price you quoted (and confirmed by your email) could not be correct as the cheapest room was $145. I had to pay an extra $30 to get a room.
Review 87:size of room
Review 88:Many rooms but only 1 toliet. There are bed bugs!!! I would really reconsider if I would return to stay again.
Review 89:The big and spacious rooms with a big balcony.Plus value for money
Review 90:The shower pressure is enough to make me leave.you cant enjoy a shower thats just dripping and cold. You need power points in the bedrooms for charging phones and laptops. I had to unplug the airconditioner to charge my cell.
Review 91:I like the cooking facility. I love the bed and pillows. The kids love the pool. The staff is friendly and helpful Convinient location. Security at night is reassuring.
Review 92:No towels in the room. Room very musty. Awoken by bed bugs in the bed. Had to move to another room which also had bed bugs. Hardly had any sleep. Could not stay there so moved to another hotel.
Review 93:Guests should not have to make constant, increasingly urgent requests to reception for advertised services or motel features to become available. Unfortunately, my experiences were inevitably with the weekday, day-time receptionist who would pleasantly agree to undertake to fulfill the request, then simply not follow through. Given the high rate of unemployment in Fiji I am amazed that this person retains her job.
Review 94:Good location close to town but far enough away that the weekend nightclub music in town is not annoying. This is an older motel with amenities that need upgrading and/or renovation. However, it is spotlessly clean and any maintenance issues are dealt with promptly by the very able maintenance staff. All the staff are friendly and pleasant, but there are issues concerning the weekday day-time receptionist and her ability or willingness to respond to guest requests. These issues were significant enough for me to decide not to stay again at this motel - it is just too frustrating to deal with a staff member who repeatedly fails to do her job.
Review 95:Room very tired, rotting doorframe to bathroom meant whole apartment smelled. Advertised as having air-conditioning but only 1 of the 2-brms had it and not in the living area either. Fans noisy and old. My Mum is in her 70s and so no lift in the heat of March meant a struggle up to the 3rd floor. Be aware of that if having guests over also. Sad to say but some small items of clothing went missing from the room also.
Review 96:Handy to town without being noisy. Staff are lovely, especially Tamara at the front desk. Nice pool and not crowded.
Review 97:Second time I have stayed here. Stayed in the Studio Apartment for 4days. No Issues. Staff were lovely and had no issues with their service and the room. Would most certainly stay there again.
Review 98:The food has gone down a bit since last time. They had to send out for mozzie spray in the middle of the worst dengue epidemic they have ever had in Fiji. They again did not have much choice on internet cards - and it is expensive, but that is Fiji!
Review 99:There are not too many other options in Suva! Staff are very friendly.
Review 100:The water slide didn't look extremely safe so keep an eye on your children! A lot of stairs could be a problem for less mobile people, though staff is lovely to carry luggage up to the room.
Review 101:Staff were friendly And kids loved the water slide. We also enjoyed having breakfast on the side Of the pool.
Review 102:Within a couple of minutes of walking into the room my family and I walked right out of the room because there was a stench in the room. We told this to the front desk and they informed us that that was the only room available and the other rooms were similar. There was dust on top of the bed heads...dust on top of the only air conditioning in one room. The other rooms only had a ceiling fan (misleading ad.). The kitchen table tops had a sticky residue...the microwave had milky residue on top and around it...the toilet stunk...the bed sheets had a musty smell about it. We had to buy extra sheets from the shops to put on top of the bed to sleep the one night because they were going to charge us for the one night as a penalty for not staying there for the duration of our stay (4 nights). My kids and my wife slept in the one bed in the room which had the A/C. I slept in the lounge room with my suitcase hard against the front door for fear that someone doesn't break-in because the front door was so flimsy. The place doesn't have a lift so we had to climb to the third floor to go to our room. At $280 a night, pricing IS very steep for very shabby accommodation. We voiced our concern to the manager Kelera the next morning also and she discounted our first and only night in that dungeon. I would highly discourage others from staying there. We immediately booked ourselves into The Holiday Inn straight away.
Review 103:Nothing about the Suva Motor Inn was likeable!!! Very misleading advertisement about the apartments.
Review 104:Rooms quite dirty and little regard for security. Our laundry went missing for a while but was eventually found. Good for a business trip I guess
Review 105:The location was ok, rooms were a good size
Review 106:Would have made it easier for us with our 2 year old if there was fencing around the pool. Also tiles and steps down to the pool were very slippery when wet.
Review 107:The pool with waterslide was the highlight!
Review 108:The accomodation is poor, not very clean. rooms are very noisy, we can heard the neighbours. Not enough blankets for the bed. It had a party at the hotel, during all the night, and the staff didn't care about it. Everything looks very old (rooms, hotel, bed, tv, etc.). Thanks for nothing !
Review 109:nothing
Review 110:Facility was old and all the appliances in the room made huge noise. The kitchen is small and does not have any cooking tools or stove so you can't cook anything except for tea and instant food.
Review 111:Good location
Review 112:Can't think of anything particular. It was a good place
Review 113:It was in a good location. The accommodation was good with good cooking facilities, clean environment, great staff, good Internet speed and a good restaurant attached. It was good value for money.
Review 114:checked in two hours early and found out we had to leave to catch a ferry so left one hour later. asked what the hotel could do for us since we could not stay. they said they could do nothing but charge us anyway. will not stay there again. the hexagon best western in Nadi were wonderful in treating us great. We will be staying there again in future in six months.
Review 115:it was close to the area we needed to be.
Review 116:Rooms dark.I Couldn't have fan on without light over dressing tableshining all night. Curtains on windows on corridor had to remain pulleddue to privacy. Please add more lighting. As hard to read at night.Website gives impression that rooms all have private balconies.
Review 117:Staff were so helpful and obliging. Maintenance fixed light immediatelyupon it being reported. Restaurant good food and best value. Rooms wellserviced and clean. Spacious rooms. Comfortable bed. Close to town andrestaurants. Next time when refurbishment completed I will book roomoverlooking Albert Park.
Review 118:Our three day stay was too short!
Review 119:Tasa, a member of the reception staff, was helpful prior to our arrival as well as during our stay. Food at the restaurant was varied, plentiful, tasty and excellent value for what we paid.We had two bedrooms plus a large sitting area and a large, well stocked kitchen. We requested a room facing Albert Park and indeed our suite did face the park. The hotel is well located to all sights in Suva.
Review 120:The pool closes at 6 p.m. Why so early? Unlike in other hotels. I would like to cool myself after a day in Suva, but no chance:-( And please more Fijian dishes to the restaurant menu!
Review 121:Nice hotel, good location in center of Suva town, friendly stuff, clean rooms, small kitchen in our room.
Review 122:Lots of stairs
Review 123:Spacious, quiet, very helpful, friendly staff
Review 124:Walking up so many flight of stairs to get to our room. The hotel could do with an elevator.
Review 125:I liked the friendly staff and the size of the rooms.
Review 126:Staff were professional and very willing to provide assistance.
Review 127:Parking was somewhat difficult. Not much room. We had a rental car but I guess most come by plane and taxi.
Review 128:Staff were very pleasant.
Review 129:Had bed bug which bite me and my sister. We complained they tied to getkilling them but the were still in the bed.
Review 130:everything
Review 131:nothing at all to be honest
Review 132:quiet environment, having good sleep there. Price is valuable comapring with other near hotels. I would like to order it again next time.
Review 133:nosiy AC and refrigerator
Review 134:large room the hotel staff is warm and nice
