Reviews for Chalet des Neiges : La Cime Des Arcs
Review 1:Wifi charges in room Bunk room beds are very narrow and no storage and floor space in it. With 2 adults and 2 children had to sleep one child on the sofa bed otherwise too cramped. No way you'd want 6 in there with 1 bathroom. Pool small and only 1 steam room which was never hot enough. We have stayed in other places with 3 or 4 steam rooms / saunas and larger pools and would choose this again.
Review 2:Close to lifts and slopes Choice of local restaurants and supermarket very close by Clean apartments Good cooking facilities As we were departing mid-week we were allowed a free late check-out
Review 3:Free wifi only available downstairs, £3 per day in the rest of the building. Would be great if pool opened earlier so guests could use it as a warm up before ski-school. Need to completely clean the apartment before leaving or being charged 41 euros for cleaning - difficult when needing to leave by 6.30am on boxing day!
Review 4:Great location - very close to ski lifts & pistes, ski school meeting place, shops and restaurants etc. Les Arcs 2000 is high so snow cover is as good as it can be and you can ski directly from the hotel. Comfortable aparthotel, lovely and warm and quiet at night, very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, balcony, lovely smallish indoor swimming pool, hammam and sauna - open from 10.00am. Lift, secure ski room, nice communal lounge with fire.
Review 5:here is no justification for charging a fee for WiFi nowadays. The swimming pool can be a bit rowdy in the early evening with lots of children jumping in and out
Review 6:Comfortable, great position close to the ski lifts, ski in/out, ski room well maintained, quiet, good facilities, small swimming pool
Review 7:The temperature in the rooms was sometimes too much, but there is nowhere to adjust it. The bed was a bit hard.
Review 8:Well situated near the pistes and chairlift. Everything is well organised and to have the covered garage under the appartment is a bonus. Good facilities and friendly and helpful staff. I will stay again.
Review 9:Bed was very very hard and almost uncomfortable to the point of no sleep. Cups were pitiful had to buy our own for a decent sized of cup for the morning
Review 10:Location was excellent. Shops at 2000 were on a comparable level to 1950. Ski to door was excellent. Staff were really helpful.
Review 11:Arc2000 appears to 'close' at about 1030! Very different from 1800.
Review 12:Ease of location - I turned up to meet some friends, and was able to get gear on, hire skis and get piste pass in about 40 mins, then straight onto lift. Good restaurants right next to hotel.
Review 13:The seating in the lounge was poor and meant that if there were 4 people you cant all sit down ie 1x 2/3 seat sofa only. Kitchen needs an oven if you wanted to eat in as only combi microwave. Parking expensive.Very slow WiFi free in lobby only, not what you expect.
Review 14:Location, staff and value. Good standard of finish and equipment in the apartment.
Review 15:Skiing, great atmosphere at arc2000, easy access for lifts, ski school, restaurants, shops, bus service. One of our favourites!
Review 16:Great Facilities Fantastic location for skiing
Review 17:Very modest pool. Very modest weight room and sauna.
Review 18:Great location. Very nice staff. Nice rooms. Excellent ski mountain.
Review 19:The sofa (sofabed) in the living room was very uncomfortable. Lack of wifi in the apartment. We echo an earlier comment. The restaurant in the apartment block was very over priced and service very slow.
Review 20:Apartment was very well presented and very clean. The position and views from the balcony were fabulous. All the furnishings and fittings apart from the sofabed were in good condition and the kitchen was very well equipped for a short stay.
Review 21:Reception is only available at certain hours of the day. Chalet was ok for 4 people but any more people and it would have been a squeeze. Lack of wifi in the rooms. Limited number of restaurants nearby.
Review 22:Excellent location for a ski in and out resort. Friendly and helpful staff. Other people staying were nice too. Fantastic skiing nearby.
Review 23:In this day and age and given the price the wifi should be in all rooms. Bed quite hard and very thin pillows - ended up with really bad back. Cabin beds very narrow - too small for our 13 year old. Only French TV - cable would have been good (which you get in 1950)
Review 24:Comfortable lobby area with pool table and plenty seating. Modern and clean pool with sauna and steam room. Plenty of space in ski locker room. Well equipped apartment. Great having bread delivered to door in the morning. Good ski in/ski out location Have stayed in 1950 for the last 5 years, this was our first time in 2000. Would definitely go back to 2000.
Review 25:No WiFi in the rooms was a little poor and we thought that closing the swimming pool at 7.30pm was early for a days skiing. We went to the restaurant one evening and had poor service with over priced food compared to other similar restaurants in the resort. Apart from these things we would still stay again.
Review 26:Great location, our apartment was very clean and of a good standard. We stayed in the one bedroom plus a sofa bed in the lounge, and this was fine for the three of us. We managed to make several dinners in the kitchen which had enough utensils etc. Plus the dishwasher was a good addition. It was quiet at night and the only disturbance was due to the setting off of avalanche's near by, but that can't be helped as we had loads of snow. Nice place.
Review 27:the pool could have been warmer, it was too cold for my disabled son to use. internet access in apartments would be welcomed. wet room flooded if shower was used as the floor was level so didn't drain!
Review 28:Loved the helpful attitude and friendliness of the staff, the washing machine, the bread delivery, above all the disabled-friendly accommodation.liked the wellness facilities and ski room boot warmers.
Review 29:Availability of internet in the lobby only is prehistoric. Pillows are not very comfortable.
Review 30:Very good location with an easy access to slopes, dining and services. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Comfortable and good quality pool and saunas.
Review 31:The apartments were very small. Pleased we took a place for 6 for 4 people - any smaller would have been impossible. Time they had wi-fi throughout the building. Beds uncomfortable.
Review 32:Great location and excellent restaurant in the same building
Review 33:The reception tended to be understaffed. Check in took 30 minutes for 3groups. People should be asked to fill out forms while waiting and infosheets should be made available instead of repeating the explanation. When I called where the ski lockers were, the receptionist said"Didn't I explain it to you?" which I found quite rude. Our room was just besides the restaurant. There should be lace curtainsto keep privacy. There was also a disturbing humming noise from 9pm to8am from the pool (?) which should be addressed. Wi-fi in the room wouldhave been nice.
Review 34:Great location, clean, modern, well equipped, nice smallpool/jacuzzi/sauna/fitness room. Good restaurant withbossanova live band. Sheets and new towels were provided.
Review 35:Wifi is only available in reception area.
Review 36:Receptionist were very friendly. Location is very good. Place is very clean.
Review 37:Swimming Pool needs to be open later
