Reviews for Hotel Chanteplage

Review 1:There was nobody on site when we arrived. Someone else living in the building made a call for us to contact staff.

Review 2:The location was right on the water. A few restaurants were in the vicinity.

Review 3:Dirty, noisy, not furnished, very old, uncomfortable. Staff inadeguate and not really caring

Review 4:Good: position. Parking: there are 6 free parks. But they are not sufficient for all the clients

Review 5:We came around 22:00 on Saturday, despite the metioned in the booking need for the parking place it was full, and I was told that we should come earlier and they thought we won't come so they had given the place to someone else. This night I had to park on the public parking. However, they managed to free up the place by the next morning. So we booked it for 8 nights and this was almost the only one option left as we decided to spend our sudden vacations at Cote D'Azur, and we wanted sea view and max 10 min walking distance to the beach. It's an extremly old building with no small renovation done during the latest 20 years, extremly old furniture, totale uncomfortable bed, sometimes durty and always bot so frech towels and bed linen, sometimes typical smells from the WC, old sanitary facilities. Very noisy evenings, as your balkony is directly at the promenade, sometimes disco down in the hotel's restaurant with no option to close the window as there is no air conditioning system, smells of the restaurant kitchen in the hotel corridors, rooms cleaning leaves much to be improved. Overall: prise is too high for that kind of really shitty hotel and room but the location and view compensated it to us (may be not to you :) )

Review 6:Beautiful sea view, 2 min to reach the sea, many restaurants and shops in the 5 min walking distance, free parking available, staff could somehow understand English, so if you don't care (like we didn't) about all the written below it can be a nice option, for us sea view and 2 min to reach the beach are key

Review 7:A very pleasant stay in a lovely location. A very nice rustic hotel, plus the staff were most helpful and pleasant . We were staying at the end of the season, so we had the beach to ourselves

Review 8:It was so noisy! Don't expect to sleep before 1 every night on weekends and midnight on weekdays. Some staff members looked annoyed at us asking for stuff. Gave us the impression that we were 'tolerated' but that we would be welcome to leave asap.

Review 9:As we didn't have a car for our stay, the location was convenient. Literally across the promenade from the beach. The cleaning of the room was excellent.

Review 10:Very noisy at night. Our family room didn't have any balcony or outdoor space. So we had to go to bed together with the kids. Poor breakfast and unhelpfull staff. They were much eager to serve other guests (not hotel guests) than us. Not even coffee or tea was offered.

Review 11:Location

Review 12:We booked a double and were given 2 single beds. When I complained, the staff were very unhelpful. Generally unfriendly and the room was very run down.

Review 13:The location

Review 14:...As the hotel does not have ac in the rooms you have to sleep withopen door to the balcony and the restaurants and bars around are loudand late so it is hard to sleep. Due to a incorrect writing in the appfrom Booking we had an argument with the landlady and she was definitlynot interested in listening to what the problem was. She also wantedpayment for breakfast we had not had.

Review 15:If you prefer to walk directly out on the beach it is perfect but...

Review 16:No staff on site on our arrival around 9pm. No telephone number posted in the lobby to contact staff out of hours if required. Bit noisy at night if windows left open.

Review 17:The location by the beach. Comfortable beds, good amenities including TV, wifi, fridge and kettle in room.

Review 18:Lady manager abrupt and unhelpful.Late cleaning rooms each day No extended checkout - an hour would have been great especially when rooms only cleaned late afternoon.

Review 19:Great location, have stayed here before - small hotel, clean andgood location.Wifi - shame though not in bedrooms as this hotel is expensive for a room only package.

Review 20:Lady in charge unfriendly

Review 21:Great location

Review 22:The view

Review 23:No towels for the beach were available for our use.

Review 24:Friendly but spoke no english Excellent cusine.
