Reviews for Grand Hôtel Les Lecques

Review 1:Old building with poor sound proofing and erratic hot an d cold water in the shower. Breakfast very meager.

Review 2:Location. Sea views but not on the beachfront.

Review 3:Broken fridge , broken air conditioning, unavailable wifi connection in room, wasps eating the breakfast ham, old paint and stained old carpet, shower with low pressure and either hot or cold, should I go on?

Review 4:View

Review 5:The worst hotel we have stayed in for years. The condition of the building was terrible, and despite awful reviews going back years, nothing has been done. The room we were first shown unacceptable (room 1). The breakfasts were dire. The staff were obviously untrained. No way does this deserve four stars! It should be closed down until it has been fully refurbished.

Review 6:The location was good, and the swimming pool acceptable. We noted tennis courts, which was good.

Review 7:Very poor paintwork throughout, worn and dangerous carpets. When built 100 plus years ago, it would be for the rich and elite of Europe. However, probably has not been painted or carpeted since.

Review 8:Excellent location, opposite beach and several restaurants. Good swimming pool and surrounding area. Excellent views.Undoubtedly was once a Grand hotel, but not now.

Review 9:1. old and dirty carpet 2. Wood painting every- where is bad, must be re- novated 3. bathroom must be renovated! 4. only 200 m away, there is a awfull noise of a machinery, engine repeting every ca. 20 min.

Review 10:Romance cooking

Review 11:Booked a deluxe double room. When we arrived we were faced with an unrefurbished room, 40 year old bathroom as all other rooms had been booked to groups. Transferred to single refurbished room which was small and still poor, cut visit short to 1 night. Restaurant canteen style with evening meal hugely overpriced for the quality of food. Wasted our money in fuel, tolls and time to travel there.

Review 12:Nothing, cannot fill this with 200 characters.

Review 13:The hotel needs some renovation: toilet doors and bathroom doors were not closing. The shower curtain was missing as well. The window was not closing correctly. The room door does not isolate very well against sound. Roof and outside walls look ole and grey. Inside furniture and wallpaper seems also to be 50 years old, but somehow this creates a nice retro-atmosphere.

Review 14:Very nice location, great outside park and swimming pool. Quiet and lots of space in the park. The hotel gives the feeling of being in a film of the 50ies. Nice and friendly people.

Review 15:'Deluxe' room apparently - nothing like the photos on the website. Paint peeling off all woodwork ancient bathroom old cheap furnishings. Dreadful dinner. All that for a total bill of 380euros for one night - extortionate and misleading information/photos on quality/standard of hotel. Resort isn't particularly pleasant either ! Error of judgement - normally wouldn't review so negatively but a rip off...hotel is not what it purports to be - only thing grand about it are it's rates !

Review 16:Not much ! View from the balcony nice....

Review 17:Staff were very helpful, good facilities, period building, traditional hotel with understated elegance - if you are looking for "bling" dont stay here

Review 18:Tiny bedroom - and wasn't the cheapest ... Archaic bathroom(tap dripped, water could not be diverted from shower to bath) Small double bed Thin, small bath towels Erratic wifi

Review 19:Location (2 mins from beach) Parking Pool Dinner Art deco charm of the public areas Balcony/sea view

Review 20:Standard Room was very small Hotel is overpriced, three star hotel with four star prices Needs updating, some areas a bit shabby and run down Restaurant and bar - overpriced, food for special Brazilian evening was appalling.

Review 21:Location, proximity to town and beach Staff were excellent - helpful and friendly Swimming Pool and grounds Pleasant and comfortable hotel

Review 22:The location is very good. But the price was a bit high for this level of hotel.

Review 23:small room. Breakfast bare minimum.Room deco seems rundown.

Review 24:Big hotel with pool and tennis.

Review 25:Service Inexperience staff Need to be repaint.

Review 26:shower-bath, absent of shower cap, absent of body milk

Review 27:kindly staff, good breakfest, exellent location

Review 28:poor rooms &bathrooms

Review 29:the old fashioned bedroom needing painted and decorated

Review 30:the pool area and dining room

Review 31:State of repair. Expensive for the standard of the hotel.

Review 32:Lovely rather old fasioned but quaint very french hotel in a wonderful location, Some rooms rather basic and very dated but others refurbished & many with lovely sea views. Wonderful outdoor terrace to eat on with lovely sea views and fantastic swimming pool with loads of comfy sunloungers.

Review 33:Old furniture,a little bit poor breakfast. It could be more flexible and competitive price out of season time.

Review 34:Good location, friendly staff, easy to locate.

Review 35:Our seaview room was comfortable and clean but tired and bathroomdefinitely needs updating. We did not have a balcony. Noise air con. Ourdaughter's tennis court view room was smart and modern and hadobviously been refurbished, with balcony and was cheaper - strange.Seaview was lovely though.

Review 36:Great location, 2 mins from beach. Parking (usually very difficult inhigh season). Set in lovely gardens. Nice pool with sunbeds. Nice lunchoutside. Nice atmosphere in bar and comfy sofas to sit in. Buffetbreakfast on outside terrace lovely. English speaking staff and if notwe managed to communicate with our little French.

Review 37:I can not recollect anything annoying. It is a very good sign!If I really have to invent something, I would say that it was a bit expensive at ~160 EUR/night, but when it serves the purpose - and this hotel certainly does - I do not mind.

Review 38:I like 24 hours desk service. I arrived at midnight, so it is "amust" for me.

Review 39:Hotel dated and tired. Wants maintenance. Room balcony wants mending. Swimming pool paving surrounds had weeds growing between them. No cushions on iron loungers.

Review 40:Position. Lovely public rooms. Good food at nights. Swimming pool.

Review 41:The price did not reflect that the bedrooms and bathrooms were out of the dark ages However the manager was charming and reduced our account considerably

Review 42:The Sea!

Review 43:Hotel is very old and poorly maintained.

Review 44:Location

Review 45:Very little considering the time of year.

Review 46:Staff very friendly. View from room outstanding. Cold breakfast good.
