Reviews for Chalet de l'Ours
Review 1:Access to the slopes due to the snow conditions involved a walk and lift queue.
Review 2:Access from the basement car park and the apartment was very easy with lift access straight to the door. The apartment was in a quite location and very roomy for 4 adults.
Review 3:Vastly overpriced Could not walk round double bed as room to small to allow this. Lighting in whole apartment poor-particularly in bathrooms. Tiny kitchen area, with no work tops-microwave positioned above most people's head high so taking hot food out hazardous. Only one English Chanel on the tv which is poor given that les arcs has become very popular with British clientel in recent years
Review 4:We liked the big lockers for the skis and boots and the fact that the boots were on a warmer
Review 5:As a family with 2 young children I was under the impression it would be a ski in and out setup and the walk to the lift albeit short, was a major hassle several times a day carrying all ones gear plus that of kids. Adults alone would probably find the commute acceptable however I would imagine...
Review 6:Like the character, friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Also little extras such as free sledges at reception for the kids, underground access to the pool etc
Review 7:V small locker rooms for skis - tho great to have separate room to put boots on (& keep boots in!). No DVD player. Uncomfortable sofas! The noise from everyones children (including ours) in the pool area… Would be hell on earth if you didn't have children and wanted a relaxing swim! But these are minor niggles as it is a lovely place that we'd definitely stay in again.
Review 8:The chalet and apartment were both fabulous - spacious and very comfortable for 2 families (we had the Blissful apartment). Two fridge freezers worked brilliantly as did the ensuite for every bedroom. Plenty of storage room in the chalet. Nice and clean with lovely furniture. Very well organised with pleasant staff- we arrived v late but all the information had been left for us in Chalet Altitude and it was easy to check in properly the next day. The cabriolet down to Arc 1950 - the Ours isn't that well situated for evenings out with children but the kids loved the lift down to 1950 where there were great places to eat. Nice pool and sauna area (bar the loud children!) and great to have that option even tho it's in Chalet Altitude it's only a short walk underground. This is a great place to stay with children.
Review 9:Wifi was not that reliable despite the router located in the apartment.
Review 10:proximity to the slopes
Review 11:Advertised as luxury accommodation, which it isn't. Small bedrooms Hard mattress Noisy
Review 12:Good location Modern kitchen equipment Large living room Ski/Snowboard storage facilities
Review 13:Staff was friendly and super helpful.
