Reviews for Inter-Hotel de L'Orme
Review 1:Parking and access to this hotel is terrible. On arrival the hotel was closed and this was at 1600. This was not just reception the actual hotel door was locked. Hotel advertises free onsite parking. This is not the case as just street parking if available and certainly not secure
Review 2:The suggested restaurant was expensive compared with other local restaurants
Review 3:Good place to stop over to catch the Dieppe ferry. Central location in Evreaux
Review 4:No reception, were emailed door access code, it was very unfriendly arrival as if guests were an inconvenience. Breakfast overpriced better food outside and cheaper.
Review 5:Central location, easy reach of shops, market on Sat morning couple restaurants close.
Review 6:Prefer a hotel with Air conditioning in room. The street traffic was extremely loud and because it was so warm we needed to keep the window open. Screens on the window would have made me feel more comfortable as well.
Review 7:The price was very fair for what we received.
Review 8:Lack of air conditioning, toilet which overflowed when flushed, shower did not have a holder (had to be hand held throughout the course of showering). Furniture looked tired and scratched
Review 9:Not much really. Central location was probably the only thing that seemed to be a plus. Reasonably priced but was nor really worth much, given the negatives. Other budget hotels we have stayed in France seemed cleaner, fresher and much more modern.
Review 10:The only down side for us was the shower, which had to be hand held rather than just being able to be hooked on the wall via a simple cheap bracket, but it was hot and powerful enough. bit of a petty gripe but it did make showering a bit awkward
Review 11:Staff/Breakfast//Lounge and seating area/bedroom layout and cleanliness/WiFi/Location
Review 12:The wifi didn't work in our room. The room was very, very basic and looked like it had a partial renovation.
Review 13:It was close to the main centre of town, an easy walk. Inexpensive.
Review 14:There was no parking for the hotel and you had to park on the street (between 18.00 and 08.00 you did not have to pay-free on Sundays)
Review 15:The hotel was very central within easy walking distance of bars, restaurants and the old town.
Review 16:The fact that, even though there was a shower attached to the bath, because there was no shower curtain, you could not have a 'stand-up' shower. Also, the drainage was noisey.
Review 17:The room and the breakfast
Review 18:Can't think of a thing.
Review 19:Very nice staff, tolerant of "not too great French speaking", encouraging. The location was walking distance to all we wanted to do, the history of WWII, the Cathedral. All great!
Review 20:It should be kept in mind that this is a very modest hotel which, thankfully is reflected by the price The Wi Fi is the irritating variety whereby you become a subset of their site which means that the service is limited, and you have to keep on re-entering the code.
Review 21:Good breakfast Well located in Evreux
Review 22:the lack of tea/coffee making facility in the room No bath handles to assist the getting out of the bath also the showering system was awkward to operate plus a lack of shower curtain.
Review 23:My room was really quite dark, but I need a black-out - I don't think that would bother most people! Strange hotel corridors...
Review 24:Very well located hotel, and Evreux is a lovely town. Some of the staff are very helpful and friendly. The Italian restaurant down the road was so good - they adapted their menu for my elderly mother and were very attentive. The hotel was quiet, rooms were fine, and the breakfast was good. Patrick (one of the staff) helped us a lot with taxis and directions - we were very grateful and enjoyed our stay.
Review 25:shower screen missing in one the rooms we'd booked.
Review 26:Very efficient and helpful staff member (we arrived on a Sunday and there only seemed to be 1 person doing everything!). Location is fantastic as you can walk straight into the centre of town. Amazing Cathedral nearby, museum (free) and choice of places to eat. We did have a bit of difficulty finding it - only because the sign outside says Hotel Intercontinental but Hotel de L'Orme is etched on every downstairs window and it's the only hotel in the street.
Review 27:Nothing worth mentioning
Review 28:Good position near centre of town close to main sights and restaurants. Comfortable , good sized room with nice bathroom. Parking outside hotel
Review 29:Room we had at the front picked up traffic and people noise until well in to the Night - probably best to ask for a quieter room at the back. Does not do evening meals (at least on a Sunday night).
Review 30:The position was good and the directions on the website made it easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The best restaurant in town (probably) is just round the corner
Review 31:Couldn't find the hotel at first - had to park and walk round the block! A clear sign would be good
Review 32:Met all our needs of an overnight stay in the centre of the city. Close to restaurants and places of interest.
Review 33:No hotel parking although there is on street parking immediately outside.

Review 84:Location
Review 85:Booked this hotel at 45 euros - nothing added yet we were charged 55 euros when we left, as we were told this was the cost.
Review 86:Difficult to park before 6pm, No air conditioning in room.
Review 87:The location, Friendly staff, the town
Review 88:very friendly and helpfull staff, close to restaurants and bars. Could have happily stayed longer.
Review 89:not have own parking facility
Review 90:onvenient, central location
Review 91:Parking could be difficult for a midweek stay. Only start parking available and it's meter payment during daytime. Sundays are free!!
Review 92:Very friendly welcome. Breakfast although a bit more expensive than others during our very long journey was fantastic.
Review 93:Breakfast is till 9:30 only, which is way to early for most on vacation. We haven't got a chance even to try it as it was promptly cleaned away. The bar closed early in the evening and this town is not big on nightlife; everything is closed early except a restaurant.
Review 94:It's a typical old style budget hotel. We requested a quiet room, was fine. Good value for money for this price.
Review 95:Handle falling off room door. Bathroom very 'tired'; no holders for toilet roll or shower head. No staff on duty after 8pm until next morning. Certainly would not have been happy to pay the normal rate of 74Euros!
Review 96:Good welcome from the multilingual receptionist who advised us re where to eat. The actual room, funiture, bed and bedding were good. Wifi worked. Reception lounge area was pleasant.
Review 97:There was a bar but not really promoted as such No minibar in room
Review 98:Staff very friendly Very Clean Very comfortable beds Excellent breakfast Very close to the centre of town
Review 99:Parking was on street. Hotel seemed dead in the evening.
Review 100:excellent breakfast, very comfortable bed, room at right temperature, everything worked, a short walk to see the old city. Not many staff but the ones who were there made our visit a useful one.
Review 101:We liked the fact that the ?Manager seemed to be expecting us. We were directed to our room which was on the front but not noisy. It was a pleasure to sleep with the windows wide open without being bitten by mosquitoes. We dawdled for a couple of hours round the town before going to a terrific restaurant/pizzeria recommended by one of your knowledgeable Staff. Before our departure we had breakfast in a patisserie by the river then again wandered around town and bought gifts of products we had not seen in England.
Review 102:Cannot find anything to criticise.
Review 103:Warm welcome. Friendly helpful staff. Bedroom and bathroom were adequately sized to feel comfortable. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Easy access WiFi. Wide choice of food at breakfast. Quiet, and homely feel to the hotel. Our favourite hotel while travelling through France on holiday.
Review 104:Price considering its central location (5mins from Hotel de Ville) Staff very welcoming. Bathroom recently refitted with walk in shower. Continental breakfast very good. Free (on street) parking from 18:00h until 10:00h worked well for us
Review 105:hotel closes early and you need to use code to get back in, not a lot to do in Evreaux, but we were visiting Monet's gardens in nearly Giverny
Review 106:breakfast was lovely, lady at receptio was kind and friendly
Review 107:A clean and comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were fully satisfactory with good ensuite. Breakfast although extra and contonental was value for money with good choice. Parking possible on road outside (payment area but charges acceptable). Altogether very good value for money.
Review 108:It was very hot & not really possible to get much relief
Review 109:Helpful staff, all of whom spoke good English- even when I spoke to them in French! Comfortable beds.
Review 110:Rooms a little dated, traffic noise if window open, automatic lighting goes off too quickly
Review 111:Lift, good location for the center of Evreux, We only stayed one night on our way north.
Review 112:Duvet on bed was far too hot for July. Spoiled what could have been a good nights sleep. One sheet and a light blanket would have been far better.
Review 113:Obliging staff
Review 114:Friendly welcome and staff. The rooms were perfectly adequate for what we wanted - basically somewhere to put our heads down for the night. A perfect continental breakfast was taken in the breakfast restaurant with delicious coffee, fresh croissants and bread with plenty of fruit, juice and boiled eggs. Very accommodating at check-out.
Review 115:The staff were very friendly and helped us find a very good restraunt.Breakfast was well worth the money' The location was verygood, managed to park outside.
Review 116:Lighting was dull - difficult to read in bedroom. The breakfast ham and cheese never varied - both quite tasteless.
Review 117:Good size bedrooms with good storage. Well maintained modern lobby to sit with friends and have a drink. Staff were very helpfull. Well situated for restaurants
Review 118:We prefer a proper shower not a shower in the bath. We do not need a bath. We prefer a fixed head shower. We prefer sheets and blankets. Duvets are too hot for us.
Review 119:The breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Overall we enjoyed the stay and found a very good restaurant (The Gazette) where we had an excellent meal at a reasonable price.
