Vacation Home Ylläksen Yöpuu sells fast on our site. This property is by Lake Äkäslompolo, 5 minutes’ drive from Ylläs Ski Resort. It offers a Northern Lights alert service, wood-fired lakeside sauna and a private beach. All accommodation includes free Wi-Fi and a full kitchen.

Review 1：2 days outside was extremly cold -35-38 C, and we got frozen in the cabin.

Review 2：Great location: 3-5 minutes walk are: supermarket, restaurant, sport shop (rent ski equipment also available); lake good for cross country skiing and watching aurora at about 10pm. Cabin itself was very good.

Review 3：This is a wonderful, homey, cozy, comfy, lovely place to spend a night (as we did) or 2 or 3 or probably weeks! We only regretted that we did not have more time to spend here. We stayed in the Paatalo cottage and it was fantastic, spacious, warm, clean, comfortable !!! Our host Marja was so welcoming & accommodating. We were a family with 7 people & everyone was happy & satisfied, no small feat! The cottage is fully equipped with no detail left unattended. The sauna & fireplace were especially appreciated, as was the Aurora alert cell phone left on stand by in the kitchen! We were able to leave the cottage & walk a very short distance to a delightful restaurant & wonderful supermarket within a small shopping area. And the kids were also able to rent cross country skis nearby. There is a washing machine available for use close by (with a drier unit in the cottage), as well as snow "toys" such as the sleds that we used to have fun in the snow. We highly recommend staying here for as long as possible & plan to visit again. Thank you to Marja for everything!!

Review 4：Fabulous location with everything we wanted in walking distance: supermarket, bars, restaurants, equipment hire, snowmobiling, tour-booking. Great northern light alert service, log fire, free wood, loads of sledges to use, saunas. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Comfortable stay with lots to do. Bus stop 1 minute away.

Review 5：The cottage was clean, comfortable and in a great location. The owner came and saw us on our second day and let us know where the supermarket was, how to use the fireplace etc... very helpful :) The location is 2nd to none!! It is right by the lake which is THE spot to see the northern lights. The display we had was brilliant and when it got too cold we just went and watched from the kitchen!!

Review 8：We've just got back form a week in these cabins and it was the best stay of our lives ( and we travel a lot). Perfect cosy, warm, clean well equipped cabin with lovely sauna and drying room. Beds comfy and kitchen great for cooking. Perfect location. In a lovely little village, easy walk to restaurants and supermarkets without them being too close. Hosts were perfect, friendly and helpful. Sauna by the lake and grill house gorgeous little hidden gems. Great place to watch the Northern Lights, saw them 4 nights running. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Cried when we had to leave.

Review 21：Excellent location. We enjoyed the skiing at Y1, went Husky driving and rode Icelandic ponies. Lovely, clean and safe. Very convenient for the supermarket too. Great place to stay for two families with children ranging from 12 to 5. Thank you!

Review 22：Al surfaces were clean, but when you look at details you see that it might need some more cleaning, think about kitchen fronts, oven door, light switches etc. Bedlinnen en bathroom were good clean though!

Review 23：The value for money is good. The house is located in the middle of the village, so supermarket and restaurants are nearby. But the kitchen is fully equipped so no need to go to restaurants if you prefer your own meal.

Review 24：Very good hotel! Cozy nice wooden house, spacious room. Personal sauna. Bikes and boats for free. Perfect location - with lake (you can fish in it), forest (many mushrooms!) nearby. Many hiking ways around. Almost each day we met raindeers and rabbits. Owners are always ready to help if you need anything.
