Reviews for Princess Et Richmond

Review 1:The location of the hotel was excellent, and our room was simply perfect! All the staff, with no exception, were friendly yet professional, and they went out of their way to make you feel welcome....but we never felt fussed. We came and went as we pleased. Fantastic!

Review 2:The wifi is terrible. If it worked at all it was extremely slow. One of the male staff members explained that this was the case all of the time. If you have a need to access wifi, then I would consider staying elsewhere.

Review 3:The location was good and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 4:The location is wonderful. The rooms are very clean, modern, comfortable and thoughtfully laid out and equipped. Our room on the 5th floor faced the Med and the views are outstanding. Breakfast in your room is an option we recommend highly - you set the time and breakfast arrives which you can enjoy on your private balcony overlooking the Med. The staff are multilingual and very helpful. This is our favorite hotel.in our favorite place.

Review 5:We thought €12 for what wasn't a very substantial breakfast was expensive.

Review 6:The staff had taken note of my room request. I received a lovely welcoming email, in English, from the manager. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect.

Review 7:Our first impression of the hotel, based on parking the car in the underground garage behind the hotel, and the tiny antiquated lifts/elevators, was less than encouraging. Likewise our first impression of our room (with dreary old decor). But these first impressions dissipated and we came to appreciate the fact that this is a really nice, well-situated hotel. We would definitely come again.

Review 8:The location is excellent, facing the sea, just meters away, and close, but not too close, to the center of Menton. Various nearby facilities (decent restaurants, snack places, mini-market, laundromat) were available. The room and beds were comfortable and the A/C worked fine. We had a balcony and a good angled view of the sea and promenade. The modern bathroom was excellent. The hotel lobby/bar was pleasant and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Review 9:We loved that you could order express breakfast, have it delivered it to your room and enjoy it on the terrace overlooking the sea - fabulous!

Review 10:Lack of kettle and hospitality tray but the other rooms had them.

Review 11:Good location rooms light and airy.

Review 12:Everything was perfect ! Well done!

Review 13:Good location, kindly staff

Review 14:Good location, very comfortable rooms, well organized service

Review 15:Do not rely on Wi Fi there!

Review 16:Staff and location.

Review 17:poor wi fi

Review 18:location

Review 19:Wifi in hotel was unacceptably bad

Review 20:Lovely modern room and bathroom

Review 21:Nothing!

Review 22:Super and spacious room with balcony and views, very clean, very nice staff.

Review 23:Location was fantastic, staff were very friendly, comfortable room and hot tub, rooftop lounge area overlooking the sea

Review 24:Very noisy road staircase needs upgrading very dark and dingy

Review 25:Clean room

Review 26:The comfortable room with sea view

Review 27:Nice hotel, friendly stuff. Location is good.

Review 28:The pillows were really very uncomfortable.

Review 29:That our stay was not longer.

Review 30:We loved everything about this property . The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant .

Review 31:Just the distance to old town

Review 32:It was close to other places we wanted to go to, nice hotel just not as close to old town as we would have preferred.

Review 33:There was no plug near a mirror so using hair straighteners was difficult as I couldn't see what I was doing! Could easily be rectified.

Review 34:Lovely view and very comfortable bed.

Review 35:If one thing could be changed it is not having a wash handbasin in the separate toilet.

Review 36:I liked the hotel very much. The staff were friendly and helpful. the bedrooms are very comfortable.

Review 37:Having to go home !

Review 38:We had an excellent room with a great sea view. The bed was very comfortable. We had fresh roses in our room and a card from the staff welcoming us. A very memorable stay.

Review 39:the only think we did not like is breakfast-very expensive, no fresh fruits or fresh vegetables for price 11 euro per person!

Review 40:The staff on the reception desk was very helpful. Menton is a lovely city, beautiful old town and seaside promenade, weather in October was real summer-23 degrees both water and air, sunshining

Review 41:The mattresses on the beds were a bit too firm/hard for us. All three of us suffered from stiff bad backs during our stay. The partial sea view room we had was rather dark due to the close proximity of the building next to the hotel. Also the bathroom was a little tired, although was clean. Road noise when sat on the balcony - although didn't really spoil our trip as the room was pretty sound proofed. Could have done with having our toilet paper dispenser topped up during our three night stay - we ran out on the last night/morning! Having said the above we still enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return.

Review 42:I liked the fact that the hotel was reasonably small. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The double glazed windows were excellent for keeping out the road noise at night. The air conditioning worked well, was quiet and it was good that it had temperature control. Location was great for a swim in the sea or walk into the centre of the old town of Menton. Will definitely return some day!

Review 43:No tea making facility in the room and breakfast was an extra cost - Why? The road noise.

Review 44:The location of the hotel was at the quiet end of the promenade away from the hub of noise.

Review 45:Although the room was a wee bit on the small side, the balcony was fabulous with views of the mountains and the sea, really spacious with sun beds and a table and chairs.

Review 46:Beach is not good - no changing rooms and toilets. The street is noisy.

Review 47:Hotel looks like recently renovated, big and comfortable rooms with sitting area, very nice staff. We liked belcony and sea view.

Review 48:We should have booked a parking place at the hotel and were not aware of the demand until too late. Room was small for a double sized bed. Lack of English speaking TV channels.

Review 49:Location was ideal. Great views. A runner or walker's dream location. Staff was more than friendly and helpful--just great. Terrace on the roof was a good place to relax.

Review 50:Little noise from the street.

Review 51:Hotel is situated at Promenade de Soleil. It's 100 bus (to Nice) stop In 100 meters from the hotel.Very good friendly staff. Clean.

Review 52:The room had a slightly tired decor (in 80-90s style), bed covers and the sofa were a bit worn out. The jacuzzi area wasn't very inviting (partly inside) and I wouldn't call two tredmills a gym. The location was slightly out of the centre, but the walk into the town didn't bother us as it was down the sea promenade.

Review 53:Friendly staff. Hotel was well-maintained and rooms clean. Modern bathroom. Sea view. The area was nice and quiet.

Review 54:The lift was narrow.

Review 55:Excellent hotel. Kind staff. Charming room and nice bathroom. We liked the furnitures (of iron) on the terrace where we were served a very delicious breakfast buffé.

Review 56:The location is a bit far from the nice port area and shops. However itis good for the beach because it is down the quieter end, so is morepeaceful and less crowded.

Review 57:Friendly staff, the beach right across the road. Comfortable, large roomand large bathroom. Nice to have a balcony too. Good value for money forthe extra comfort.

Review 58:Hand shower in bathroom, not wall mounted. Garage parking very tight.

Review 59:Very obliging staff and lovely outlook. Nicely placed to travel by train to Monte-Carlo. Facilities at hotel ideal for short stay.

Review 60:We have stayed at Pricess richmond at least four times in the last 10years. We love the location, in Menton, on the promenade, easy walkingto shopping, touring, etc. We have always felt completely welcome there, especially as it is a family run hotel, which means you meet the samepeople each time, and they are truly interested that you are happy withthe accommodations and the service.John Walsh

Review 63:Had a partial view of the sea which was nice.
