Review 1：The apartment was very plain. It was not cozy and inviting. Needed some decorations (painting on walls, fake plants, etc) Soap dispenser was not installed. We were not shown how to operate the heat. Was too hot the first night. Staff was willing to help!

Review 2：The breakfast: excellent food and very nice restaurant. Good sauna in the apartment! Glad to havde internet connection.

Review 4：Stayed for 2 nights on seperate occasions, first stay was excellent but unfortunately second stay was disappointing - uncomfortable put up bed, untidy kitchen area, empty cans, foodstuff on surfaces.

Review 5：The kitchen was missing some equipment, for instance there could have been more forks, knives, bowls, spoons. Also there could have been more cooking tools.

Review 9：The wardrobes in the dressing room of the sauna weren't appropriate. Some keys and locks didn't function well. The hotel did not have any swimming dresses for those that have forgotten their own at home.

Review 10：The cross-country skiing routes started near the hotel and they were very clearly marked. There was also the possibility to have sauna baths and swim in the pool every day.

Review 35：We called the reception sometimes, but they did not take phones probably because not so many receptionists at the same time and they had to react to people who came to the reception in person. The apartment had a fireplace, but firewoods were too wet and we could not get the fire on them.

Review 36：The apartment was very modern, wide, warm and well equipped. It is really great to have a sauna within the apartment and we enjoyed it very much. We had a problem with our car because the car fell down into the deep snow off road, but the hotel staff was very helpful to assist us in finding someone to pull our car out from the snow.

Review 37：Upon arrival after overnight train journey, we were told that we might have to wait 5 hours for our room to be ready (4oclock check in). At no point did the staff offer a coffee, knowing full well thats its a standard train arrival time from helsinki. The childrens playarea needs some improvement. The pool is not heated, so not appropriate for small children, even though the picture on the website of the pool shows a baby with a mother swimming.

Review 39：Compared to other place we've stayed in Akas, this hotel is notworth the money we paid for it (150 Euro for a rather simple room,which was situated near the main parking lot). There was a lot oftraffic, people going to and from the bar until 3am, and you couldhear the music when you had the window open. This is not the"Lapland experience" that you can get elsewhere inäkäslompolo. To be avoided.

Review 40：The hotel is situated close to the cross-country ski tracks. Excellentsite for skiing. But that is true everywhere in äkäslompolo.

Review 41：We had breakfast included in our room rate and the had a huge variety of food products to choose from. Which was great. The room was clean and had everything you needed in there (tv, comfortable beds, spacious enough showers) They don't have double beds, only twin beds.The shower is not longer than 10/15 min warm, but when it's still warm it's really nice. The service was excellent. The sauna is not mixed, so when you are with your boyfriend traveling you have to go apart in the sauna, that was a bit of a bummer. And the big inside pool has all these great bubble/whirlpool/waterfall options, but the water was not warm enough. It would have been better if the water was at least 33 degrees, since it was so cold outside (we were here in the winter). The ski options where 10-20 minutes from the hotel depends of on which side of the mountain you want to ski.All together we had a excellent stay.

Review 42：We came late and the key was given to us by a very pleasant woman at the bar.We stayed in the studio apartment for 3 persons,it was after renovation and was impeccably clean.We liked sauna in the apartment. The kitchen has enough facilities for cooking. The supermarket is in 15 minutes on foot. The breakfast is good. There is the bus which goes to the airport, it is cheap comparing to a taxi, the way to the Kittila aiport takes around an hour. Several of a la carte restaurants can be found in the village, they start working since 16.00. We previously stayed in 4 hotels in Finland including Yllas and Levi and telling the truth didn't understand why the booking.com rating was that low.We will definetely come back as it is perfect place for cross-country skiing.

Review 43：The 2euro wifi per day can only be used for one device. so if you have a phone, laptop and tablet, that would cost you 6euro

Review 44：The facilities was very well maintained and place was clean. Staffs were friendly and approachable to our request. The fact that it was a washing machine, drying cabinet and sauna is really an awesome plus point to me.

Review 45：We arrived at 2.30pm but were told the room had not yet been cleaned andthat they had until 4.00pm officially to get the room ready. At 4.00pmwe asked for the keys again, to find that they had still not started toclean the room. It was only when we complained and made a fuss thatsomeone was sent to quickly clean the room for us. Apart from this, welike the Akas Hotel and have stayed 3 times.

Review 46：We opted for a studio room which is much better than the standard twinrooms. The studios are better presented as well as having their ownsauna, kitchenette, dining/lounge area and good equipment (includingwashing machine). The location is excellent, only a short walk to thevillage centre and shops, with x-country ski tracks starting from thehotel and only a short drive to the downhill slopes at Yllas-Ski.

Review 47：Stayed in ground floor hotel room (annex adjacent to reception / dining area) Close proximity was useful in cold snowy conditions but could get noisy throughout evening & into early hours of morning ( 2 - 3 am) as guessts stood outside main door smoking or awaiting taxis. Also room temperature was very hot & only 1 small window could be opened. Overall decor was a little tired looking. Note: twin beds were comfortable but narrow. Not a problem for us but may not be suitable for larger people.
