Guesthouse Eggerhof sells fast on our site. Surrounded by the Hohe Tauern National Park, Eggerhof provides rooms with free Wi-Fi in the centre of Mallnitz. All guests can make use of the wellness area with a sauna and a steam bath. A free ski bus to the Mallnitz Ski Area, which is 1.9 miles away, stops in front of the guest house.
All rooms come with a sofa bed, a seating area, cable TV and a bathroom with a shower.
Eggerhof has a bar and a restaurant. A breakfast buffet is served in the morning and half board is available on request. Half board is free for children up to the age of 4 and discounts apply for children up to the age of 14. Guests can relax in the garden or on the terrace.
A ski storage room with a ski boot dryer is provided and ski passes can be bought on site. Bikes can be rent at the guest house. For the children’s entertainment, a trampoline and table tennis facilities are available.
A toboggan run is 1.9 miles away from Eggerhof. The Molltal Glacier is 14.9 miles away, and Lake Millstatt can be reached within a 35-minute drive. Free private parking is possible on site.
From early May to late October, the Nationalpark Kärnten Card is included in the rate with a minimum stay of 2 nights. This card offers many free benefits and discounts in Carinthia and East Tyrol.

Review 4：attitude of the old owner and some of the staff towards little childrenparking was chaotic yet owners blame us for not parking in the right places (which were missing at some point when we came from skiing);soups were extremely salty (believe they are like this in Austria); rooms' view was towards the wall from the other hotel; poor breakfast; same salads; when cleaning snow, they blocked my car in snow (nice to have 4*4) - they didn't not will to help but complain I could not wait 10 more min so they could clean snow, as I was trying to explain I've got to take my 2 year old child to a medic; sewerage smell in the bathroom; felt the staff (from owner to waiters) were pretending to be happy to have you as their client (fake smiles), except one waiter - the blonde lady; rooms were not heated during the night until morning and during the day, the cleaning ladies always put it at "2" although you wanted to be warm when getting back from the cold outside and all wet from the skiing; poor playing place for small kids which is in the new building;parking presented to be with roof but was in open air and needed to climb a steep ramp (if snow and ice you can't make it if not having a 4*4...) either by car or by foot - imagine with luggage and a small kid slipping all the way down or up; owners always arguing if you just stopped over your car in front of the building where the ski room was to get your gear (car was parked on the higher ground so you needed to get your car down to make sure you don's slip on the steep ramp with your skiis and ski boots on...)Bottom line - we did not feel as comfortable as we expected in such location (been there for the 3rd time in 8 years....) and this is due to the staff and owners who made us feel undesired and always watching us and never ceased any opportunity to criticize anything we did - from kids playing in the dinning room to parking...

Review 5：location, some of the meals (great chef - try beef or deer ragu), ski room, agreement of the Eggerhof with the town pool (we didn't have to pay the pool entrance); special places for the ski boots to deposit in the lobby so you use only clean dry shoes for the interior; great wi-fi signal; clean the room everyday (not sure if towels were changed during the whole week)

Review 8：The staff were very friendly and gave us ideas about what sights to see in the area. The rooms were very comfortable and clean . The food was reasonably priced and very good..nice to have a regional selection of dishes!!

Review 9：No facilities for drying towels.A minor point is that on coolish days, the room struck rather cold on entry, because naturally the powerful looking central heating was turned off for the season. In warm weather that is fine, except that the insulation is so good that external heat does not warm the room inside until the glass door to the balcony is opened, and it did not seem safe to leave this open when out. Overall though, we classed it excellent.

Review 10：Very friendly and helpful staff. The proprietor has a good knowledge ofthe surrounding countryside and gives good advice to suit whatever levelof walking one wants. Breakfast is included, and an evening meal isavailable at a reasonable price, all of good quality. If arriving bytrain a taxi will be provided on request to meet the train - and takeone back on departure.The room (including beds) was spacious and comfortable, with a communal balcony.
