Review 26：Excellent location welcoming staff. We arrived early and our cases were kept securely whilst we went and enjoyed the wonderful city of Barcelona. The rooms were very well soundproofed no noise from the very busy road but we were on the top floor. Roof top pool would have been absolutely fabulous had the weather been a little warmer. However lots of beds and seating to enjoy having a drink and snacks which were very well priced. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was excellent especially the choice of pastries. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to friends.

Policy is you can't bring any food or drink to the pool area - this is unreasonable, especially when you have children and would like to enjoy some snacks by the pool. Pool area was very overcrowded and was surprised it was not deep at all - only a few feet. More like a large rectangular bath than a pool.

Review 32：Fantastic location near Plaza Catalunya and next to Metro Station. Very modern and clean hotel with huge rooms. Loved the rooftop pool, a great retreat in the afternoon. Responsiveness of staff to addressing issues or delivering items to room was second to none - best I've experienced.

We had a quiet room which was appreciated and the rooftop pool was very welcome after a day's sightseeing. Staff were friendly and the breakfast excellent. We'd stay here again.

Review 42：Hotel Jazz is in a great location to get to everything in Barcelona! It's in walking distance to the Ramblas - the Picasso Museum and the fantastic open markets. It's also so close to the metro to hop on and ride to Sagrada Familia. We loved seeing one major site a day and then coming back to relax at their roof top pool/bar. Plenty of shade to cool off in.

Review 43：As an older person, my only complaint would be that the plastic bath was slippery and there was no non-slip mat available. A wall mounted grab bar would also made the showering operation more safe.

Location is fantastic, very close to everything, but in a nice quiet position away from the hustle & bustle. Rooms were a good size, well equipped and with really comfortable beds. Review 59：The lift was noisy during the night you could hear it each time someone used it. Also could hear noise from people in the hall as no strips under the doorways to stop noise travelling into rooms.

Review 61：Staff were rude about me finishing my ice cream bought off the propertyat the pool area.VERY VERY ANGRY about the advice I received from the receptionist who spoke and understood English quite well. The night before my flight left from Gerona airport, I enquired about getting there and how far it was fro the hotel. The female receptionist said half an hour (actually almost an our and a half) and said I should take a taxi!!!! That taxi ride cost me 170 Euro.... I am not amused and will tell everyone and put it all social media. Apparently I could have taken a train. Luckily I left early, otherwise i would have missed my flight. VERY VERY ANGRY.

Review 63：The location is very good, a short walk from most of the main tourist sites. The staff were very helpful. We ate in the roof top cafe several times and the food was excellent, with traditional Spanish dishes, as well as a very good burger!

Review 68：Some staff are super friendly, some just too cold. I checked in at 2300 and I asked for a late check out at 1400 she wouldn't even give me without any solution, my flight was at 1800. Wifi in the room is not strong enough, keeps disconnected. The speed is good, it's the range of wifi that's not strong enough.

Review 92：The desk staff was not very friendly or helpful. We arrived late at night and someone was standing there (besides the desk person) and didn't offer to help with our bags. There was no onsite parking and it was difficult to find the off-site lot. The pool was closed for maintainance and you couldn't use the rooftop deck because of this . The advertised piped in room music didn't work in our room. When we called to ask about it the directions didn't pertain to the problem. When we mentioned the lack of a volume button on check-out, the clerk just said that they'd make a note of it but didn't apologize for our not enjoying music for the 2 night stay. The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff friendly. The hallways were very warm and the elevators small and seemily not enough for the number of guests.

Barcelona is a fascinating, cultural city with so many places to visit, and even beautiful beaches with a plethora of restaurants. The city tour buses are a good way to see everything. Returning to the hotel with weary feet from walking, it was a real treat to sit by the rooftop pool with spectacular views and chill. There is a supermarket and baguette shop below the hotel which is very useful

Review 101：Nothing significant at all. Asked for a quiet room which we got - however, view was not particularly appealing nor picturesque. Room rather dark and more importantly no tea or coffee facilities available in rooms (which we were aware of prior to booking) so can`t really complain - but would have been nice nevertheless. Also, would have liked to have had a dip in the pool, but too cold. A heated pool would have been perfect. Also, if it would have been possible for hotel room doors to have closed quietly, that would have been good too.

We stayed three nights, the first night we had some warm water after 10 minutes waiting and keeping it running, the other two nights we only had warm water in the mornings, but none in the evenenings when we came home - which means having to brush your teeth with cold water and not being able to take a shower after having spent the day walking around the city...

Review 109：The mattresses were way too firm for me. I like firm mattresses but this was too much. They placed a duvet under the sheets which helped but I would suggest that they get thin top mattresses for those that need them.

After my wife and I arrived in Barcelona to find that our private apartment rental was a dangerous, filthy rip-off, we abandoned it and went to Hotel Jazz after finding a vacancy and very good rate on Booking.com. What a difference! Everything about this hotel was wonderful, but the staff was especially impressive. One of the front desk clerks went beyond the call of duty helping me sort out and then pay a speeding ticket prior to a deadline, which ended up saving me €150! This made for a much better ending to an amazing month of travel.
