Reviews for Hotel de charme Regency
Review 1:The only problem is lack of parkin g spaces. You might end up walking for few minutes to your car.
Review 2:The staff was very helpfull and friendly. The sea view is amazing. Unfortunately our visit was so short we didn't have time to enjoy the breakfast or other services. Very charming small hotel!
Review 3:The rooms, whether fit for a single person or for a couple, are the same price. My room was lovely but tiny and the bed a smaller double than in another double room. Because my husband couldn't make it, it was okay (I had booked for 2). However, had he been there it would have been very cramped for two, despite the amazing sea view. Make sure you ascertain, in advance, if your room is the bigger double or the little double as they probably won't be able to move you later. At night there are few places to eat close by if you don't have a car. You can order takeaway sushi or pizza and eat it in the dining room of the hotel. But the pavement on the road is so narrow, and the cars so frequent, walking isn't very pleasant on that busy road, even in the day, let alone at night. Taxis are too expensive there. Day time it's fine as you are a stone's throw away from the lovely beach walks below. Make sure you walk to Menton along the coast, it's beautiful.
Review 4:The view to the sea was wonderful. I had a huge sliding window which I could fully open and hear the waves at night. Do not even think of booking a street side room as the traffic is noisy and you'd miss the whole point of this hotel, which is the view. And you'd be a fool to turn on the air con when you get a great breeze from the sea. The room was very clean and the bathroom great and spacious (watch out though..someone had fiddled with the toilet hose and cut off the hot water so my first night the water was cold). Amazing walk along the coast to Menton, lesser so to Monaco but still pretty and very close. Great rocky beaches, uncrowded for this area of the Cote d'Azur. I didn't have a car but lots of trains and buses and I walked everywhere by day. Bring your sneakers.
Review 5:Excellent staff, accommodations, general environment. My wife and I were staying for one night, and ended up staying for 3. Excellent multilingual staff, rooms available with sea room views are breathtaking. I look forward to staying again.
Review 6:Nice garden to enjoy the breakfast. The room had a lovely view , the better the higher up in the building. Worth taking the 211 steps down to the beach.
Review 7:There are only 3 parking lots on the street for hotel guests. Plus is, that the whole area around has free parking, but it is a very busy road, so for all our stay we managed to park in front of the hotel only once, all other times it was in distance of around 800m, we didn't mind too much, but it can be a minus for someone else. The only real minus for us was cleanliness. Of course exchanging towels and aligning the bed is in standard and that was okay, but we also used glasses and those dirty ones stayed with us in the room for whole our stay. If it was water it would be sort of fine, cause it might look like clean and be overlooked, but it was milk, so we had to wash them ourself to not let anything became alive inside. Seems like not a big thing, but I am going for holiday to not do those kind of stuff :-)
Review 8:Location! Less than 2 km from Monaco, THE BEST alternative to save some money while visiting Monaco for couple of days! High standard room and especially bathroom, both amazing, but the best of all was the view on the sea for only few euro more. Though also have to mention that for a longer stay you may find the room a bit too cosy. Buses to Monaco (as well if you want Eze and Nice) are going every 20 mins during the day and every hour during the night. The staff was always very friendly and incredibly helpfull with good english!
Review 9:Room was a bit small. There are no restaurants in the downtown area of the village and no shops in this part of Roquebrune Cap Martin. The next-door hotel has a restaurant for guests with a few tables. If there is place left they are happy to serve you a perfect dinner.
Review 10:Location, we choose room with sea view. Close to railway station Roquebrune Cap Martin and E-1027 (Cap Moderne, architecture Eileen Gray/Le Corbusier). Walking uphill to the old village was a good physical challenge. There are restaurants.
Review 11:Having no car meant I had to use the bus a lot but the hotel was so nice I didn't mind
Review 12:A lovely hotel on the main bus route between Nice and Menton. The bus stops more or less outside 5/10 minutes to Monaco 10 minutes to Menton Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was worth the money as there is nowhere to get breakfast by the hotel. Next time I stay there I will hire a car.
Review 13:Breakfast was fair for 10 euro. Could be a little improved.
Review 14:Fantastic friendly hotel with the best views over the Mediterranean . Definitely worthy of higher star and point rating.
Review 15:No dining facilities for evening. Really need to bring food to eat in the terrace or eat out in Monaco
Review 16:Beautiful hotel. Very comfortable and modern. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Affordable in a very expensive area. Incredible views. Very near Monaco
Review 17:I had a lower level rather small room. Hotel was difficult to find, and is not in walking distance from anything. Front desk closes at 9 pm, so be careful of late arrival. They do have a small garden that overlooks the sea.
Review 18:Liked everything. There are stairs no lift, but not unusual in Monte Carlo!
Review 19:Extremely helpful staff, amazing view of ocean, got a car park right in front of motel!
Review 20:Walking up the very steep hill from the train station, because the taxis regard that as too short a drive for them.
Review 21:Fantastic view from the rooms with a sea view.
Review 22:Nice staff who upgraded our room to one which had a beautiful view over the sea. The rooms were nice and clean and we got a small and cosy balcony. The breakfast was splendid and the breakfast room also had a beautiful sea view. The location is good and it is without a doubt possible to walk to Monte-Carlo, however it is a 30 minutes walk.
Review 23:The parking outside was difficult but this is typical of the area and we had to hunt for spaces. ThIs is not a complaint, just something for visitors to be aware of.
Review 24:The view from our room (12) was just spectacular. We felt so comfortable. We didn't hear any other people. We hope they didn't hear us!
Review 25:Extremely professional and friendly Nicole and Eric, who were always ready to help us and satisfy our requests. Incredible sea view and very quiet place at night. You almost feel at home, staying at that hotel.
Review 26:The breakfast was okay as long one does not have special wishes.
Review 27:i'm assuming that most bedrooms are out the back overlooking the sea because the hotel is right by the main road. As long you are at the back you have the most magnificent view from a very well appointed bedroom. The manager Eric was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Monte Carlo was very close (we once walked to the Casino in a leisurely 40 minutes). The footpath around the Cap Martin starts nearby and is incredibly scenic. The old village of Roquebrunne was well worth a visit with great views, lots of stairs to keep us fit and a great restaurant (La Roquebrunoise). We chose the hotel because of its vicinity to the Tennis Masters Championships, a mere 15 minute walk. Would go back without hesitation.
Review 28:very poor for the money you pay for it... the picture on the site is fake ..it belongs to another hotel which is very far away
Review 29:A little bit further out from the casino than we originally thought.
Review 30:Loved the view, the workers at the desk and the small comforts that were provided. The bus stop right outside the door was good too.
Review 31:Didn't like the loud train. Didn't like limited parking. That's really it.
Review 32:right beside a bus stop. Parking is minimal. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Bathroom was amazing. We loved this place! Take the bus to nice and Monte Carlo...wonderful places with great ambiance.
Review 33:We liked many things about this hotel including the staff and their helpfulness, the sea view from our room, parking availability and the proximity by foot or bus to Monaco. We also thought the price was very fair for this proximity to Monaco. Breakfast is available at an additional charge.
Review 34:Nothing, really.
Review 35:This place has recently been redecorated and this has been done well. Itis nice, comfortable and make sure not to skip breakfast as the sea viewfrom the terrace is absolutely fabulous.
Review 36:An improvement would be mosquito protection at the windows.
Review 37:Friendly reception by Eric and Nicole. Lovely small garden overlooking the sea where we had a good breakfast. All beautifully new and clean after refurbishing.
Review 38:If you like to have great views, swim at local beaches, jump on & off the bus into Monte Carlo or on to Nice & Nice airport, this is the one. We booked a supreme room for the ocean views...beautiful beds, linen & large modern bathroom. But if you are on a budget, just book a standard & enjoy the views from the little breakfast area & shaded patio. Had we known how quick and easy it was to get the scenic 1.5 euro bus trip to Nice, we would have stayed 2 nights... Can't believe its 2 star.
Review 39:There was nothing I did not like about this hotel.
Review 40:The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Had no difficulty speaking English or helping us out. I would definitely come back again and recommend this hotel for somewhere to stay if visiting Venice.
Review 41:Everything was absolutly perfect. We will be there next year again. Thank you Vers much! Thomas Hönsch
Review 42:Parking is a real problem, but hotel cannot be accounted for only.
Review 43:Top location, close ot beauifull Roquebrune
Review 44:Room a little bit dusty.
Review 45:Very nice personal. Marvelous sea view.
Review 46:The staff were fantastic
Review 47:Small room but really nice
Review 48:Very friendly staff and helpful too
Review 49:Fantastic view from the bedroom and garden Great staff - friendly and helpful Very reasonable price Free parking right outside the hotel
Review 50:Breakfast very poor!! Room not very clean on the floor and no soap
Review 51:Views from room and helpfulness of staff - they made everyone feel very welcome.
Review 52:Only 3 parking places,,,but this Monte Carlo,,,
Review 53:The kind hotel staff also very nice rooms and bathrooms
Review 54:Absence of parking
Review 55:Location Cleanliness Exceptional sea view
Review 56:Nothing
Review 57:Excellent hotel. Don't miss. Great stuff. Very nice room with a veranda to the sea. We will come back.
Review 58:The Hotel was value for money, so close to Monaco.Great management. Car Parking was no issue. You need to manage the dense populated location, but you can park cars somewhere all day. Get the room with ocean view. Renovated Bathrooms. Small rooms are expected here in this location. Definately having a car makes all things easier do go wherever you want at anytime. Great restuarants in ajoining bays and beach areas as well without having to go into Monaco all the time. I would recommend this to all friends, and would stay again for sure.
Review 59:No bar which was a pity as a drink on the breakfast terrace would have been a bonus but not a show stopper. So we used the hotel next door, who were equally friendly and helpful.
Review 60:Friendly and helpful, a great hotel with a room overlooking the sea (pre-requisite). Great breakfast terrace - excellent service.
Review 61:Nothing really, one has to be clear what to expect in this location close to Monaco.
Review 62:Location is excellent, just a few minutes by car to Monaco. Also the sea view and breakfast room is nice. Newly renovated bathroom and some other things need appreciation, as well...:-) So the cost/effectiveness ratio is pretty good...
Review 63:The equipment in the room is kind of old, the TV, decoder... but it is a minor disadvantage. Additionally the breakfast is kind of poor, adding scrambled eggs and omelette is a must.
Review 64:The hotel was clean, the manager very friendly and supportive, the view from the rooms is great.
Review 65:The room was a little tired but in fairness, very good value for money.
Review 66:The staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach
Review 67:It was a 10 minute bus ride from Monaco, and a 20 Euro taxi ride as thebuses do not work past 8pm.
Review 68:The staff were very helpful and friendly, the view over the sea from myroom was spectacular and it is a 10 minute bus ride from Monaco.
Review 69:The friendliness of all staff members who wore the sunshine on theirsmile when it was not visible outside. A most comfortable little roomwith a superb view. Convenient bus lines directly from Nice airport, andalso connecting for just 1 euro to Menton, Monaco and Nice city centers.A place we will most definitely go back to in order to enjoy a breakfastin a charming and sunny garden-terrace.
Review 70:Helpful staff, and a handy location. Would recommend!!!
Review 71:Small rooms.
Review 72:Nice staff, good location. Ask for a room with sea view if available.
Review 73:You depend on your own car or bus (takes 10-15 in to Monaco) nothing inclose proximity
Review 74:Friendly staff price (compared to other hotels in Monaco)
