Review 1：It was really cold in the end of December and this wasnt the coldest time of the year, so better to choose another one in the winter period.

Review 10：The staff were the friendliest and most concerned staff we have ever encountered. Hotel Catalonia is the sister hotel to the more upscale Catalonia Park. If you are content with a clean room with lovely balcony for a great price, Hotel Catalonia is a wonderful choice. If you want a nicer place and don't mind paying a bit more, you should check out Catalonia Park. Regardless of which place you choose, you can eat a nice meal in the dining room for a reasonable price. Breakfast is included with your room - what a deal!

Review 12：Very nice staff, extremly friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. You can use the garden and pool from the second hotel. Big separate common room with good wifi. You can choose: smaller back room with no view (back yard) but very calm or nicer room to the front with mountain view but main road and noise.
Review 13：Second Hotel in Ribes that does not believe in hair driers or shampoo. At least Soap was provided. WiFi is not the strong Point, might be room specific. Power sockets are scarce.

We also ate dinner at their second hotel which is 5min walk and had a very nice dinner for a great price. We truely recommend the hotel.

Breakfast sufficient, toast, jams, coffee, muffins, friut juice. Centrally situated in small town. Balcony had street view and limited mountain view.

Masella provided more extensive skiing and Vall De Nuria was useful as a warm up if this is your first trip of the season. Ribas is a quiet village however I found enough places to eat in the evening. I would recommend this hotel for a quiet, low cost break near the ski resorts. Don't be put off by the one star rating. I've stayed in less comfortable four star hotels. Only took 1.5 hours drive from Gerona Airport, very easy to find in Ribas and parking on the street is not a problem.
