Reviews for Village-Club Pierre & Vacances Cap Esterel

Review 1:The quality of the restaurants was poor. The apartment was not very clean, the freezer was broken and there is a lot of noise during the night of youngsters and cleaning services.

Review 2:The swimming pools

Review 3:Too many hills and stairs everywhere. Hard for elderly people.

Review 4:Wonderful views and sourranding, great atmosphere for families and lots of options to do sport for the family.

Review 5:Small rooms, bathroom , etc. Green vilalge=car parking in the middle of nowhere. Only 2 swimming pools = no chance for deckchair, almost all citizens in one place

Review 6:Localization and sea view

Review 7:The rooms are not cleaned throughout the period. Half way through the stay I had to ask for clean bedding and towels which you have to do yourself. The cost is quite high for just a small apartment.

Review 8:Location

Review 9:Rooms are small. Parking far from rooms and if you want to get closer be ready to talk for non pleasant security at place looks like checkpoint close to main reception. Rooms are not equipped with hairdryer and iron. Ants walking at kitchen but you can by Raid in local U Express.

Review 10:Beautiful location with magnificent view at sea and mountains. Many different possibilities for activities and sports. It is a club house with all necessary amenities as shops, laundry self-services, pizza-to-go etc. Possible to choose quite accommodation place if to order before.

Review 11:Very; very noisy neighbors; had to call security several times but could only sleep a couple of hours a night (around 4 am). Asked for another room but the reception refused and said to continue to call reception/security; Will not go there anymore.

Review 12:Pool and kids play area

Review 13:Very big, busy, way too packed with people. Vip appartment for family of 4 very very small. Beds tiny. No air conditioning. However reservation staff very kind & agreed to move us after 1 my to another Pierre vacances property in Antibes - this was fabulous.

Review 14:- Everything is charged. - Additional pools are needed - Language skills of personal is limited and in fact it is quite difficult for young teenagers from countries outside French speaking to get integrated in activities - Air condition is missing and is quite a disadvantage in this type of apartment

Review 15:- Good location - Good access to beach - Facilities and possibilities of groceries is great

Review 16:Unit not equipped with AC units even hard to get a fan, small units like 1 bedroom is 17m2 with no air-conditioning, also be prepared your mobile phone may not work, it's an isolated resort.

Review 17:Good sized resort with many restaurants and large pools

Review 18:Nothing excellentholiday

Review 19:Excellent location and outdoor pools

Review 20:WE HAD TO CURRY THE BAGS TOO FAR THERE WERE NO SHEETS OR TOILETS THE CAR PARKING WAS TOO FAR

Review 21:VERY NICE PLACE ,BEAUTIFUL VIEW

Review 22:Venue is dated and tired looking.

Review 23:Fantastic location.

Review 24:Rooms small

Review 25:Swimming pools

Review 26:location, facilities, the apartment, the food

Review 27:WiFi is extra paid with awful quality. Rooms without aircondition

Review 28:Pools Location Good restaurants

Review 29:Great pools, awesome sea view from the balcony, nice surroundings, great programs. Good for base to see Cannes, Monaco, St Tropez.

Review 30:No mirror on dressing table in bedroom. Only place to dry hair in hall no mirror in bedroom heated rollers and such had to go on floor in hall when in use. No lift. Bedroom curtains worn. Bed squashed against wall on one side.

Review 31:Lots to do many activities on offer. Lovely setting.

Review 32:Accommodation was not what we had booked, it had no resemblance to apartment photos shown on web site. we found a lot of things were at additional cost, decent sunbeds were 12Euro a day each, and had to be booked at 9am, in order to have any chance of getting one. towel hire, is not provided, (maybe if you have VIP accommodation?) wifi is up to 25 euros or week,, even things like a cleaning kit 4euros, as you are expected to clean apartment on departure,, but are given nothing to clean it with, so have to buy this! Restaurants on the complex are all very similar menus, and expensive. Supermarket is also over priced. staff are all young, even the manager is in 30's so no one appeared to have any idea in customer service skills, particularly reception staff who were overall very unhelpful. Cleanliness is a big issue, public toilet areas weren't good, no soap, toilet paper, even after two days of asking for soap to be replaced!

Review 33:Location was nice, very pretty area, and you can access mainline train from nearby village, to take you to other resorts along the coast.

Review 34:Most of the restaurants belongs to Pierre&Vacances With no real cook and very bad quality. There is no competition and There is no effort in that field with no professional team. Fortunatly There is a fabulus landscape

Review 35:Seasight Children activities

Review 36:Although demanding a quite high room price, everything cost extra - parking, using pool chairs, wifi .... I think P&V could benefit a lot from being more generous and including things like this in the price. The "rules" are hard to understand, sometimes hard to find described and expressed differently in different places - is linen included in short stays? (turns out yes, we read no and carried our own across Europe), what is our responsibility to clean on departure? (kitchen only? bathroom?), what are the rules for parking? (we parked on the outside of the resort but still had to pay 45€ for our 5 days)and how can you access the resort for unloading/loading?

Review 37:Wonderful position in the center of the lovely Esterel coastal range, and very close to the village. Great pool area, and good logistic service to get to the beach without using the car (although it was close enough for walking too!), Good food shop on-site with most of what we needed. Relaxing and peaceful concept with car-free resort!

Review 38:The problem is that all the good is spoilt by the management'sneglect of the interest of the customers. Cap Esterel is one of the fewremaining places where internet access is not included. For 20 euros perweek you' d expect something decent. Reception staff tried to makeus call to an unreachable hotline even though the connection problem waswith a faulty router. Even after this, internet access was almostimpossible because of overload. Cap Esterel management has no respectfor the guests: there was a convention on the site (for Vulco). Theconvention was allowed to organise a private "spectacle" inthe central area with impossibly loud music until well after midnight.

Review 39:The location is excellent, overlooking the Meditteranean and close toAgay, Dramont and the interior countryside. There are shops, restaurantsand sports accomodations on site. Cap Esterel has all the ingredientsfor a great stay.

Review 40:BE SURE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MONDAYS, as we could not enjoy ANY activities, as all are scheduled on Mondays. A little outdated, but still good.

Review 41:The front desk staff and activity staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was small, but the 3 bedroom option for 5 people was sufficient (but barely). The view and location is fantastic. Not for the beach (as it is rocky), but for the pool and all around kids activities. The food locations and ease of having all shopping within the hotel area is extremely beneficial. We will recommend to friends and family. Great concept.

Review 42:The absence of proper internet connection is an appalling mistake. The hotel has an externally provided Wi-Fi service, but it is notoriously unstable, slow and non-existent for 2/3 of all time, even when "full connection" is selected (the recommended "fast" internet). It is expensive too, paid additionally. No other internet connection except for this is available. Pierre et Vacances have to do something about it. As it is a family resort first of all, there is not much fun after 10 p.m. Although it was not stated explicitly, the hotel required a prepayment prior to arrival.

Review 43:a very nice and cosy place between the sea and the mountains, many sports and leisure facilities are on the village

Review 44:Nearly every activity, even lying by the pool, costs extra, you can't get a sunbed near the pool without paying and you can't watch a 3yo near a pool from miles away. Tennis 50 Euros an hour for coaching, more than Geneva! The cost of the holiday adds up to more than if you went out of season to Club Med where it's all-inclusive, and the quality is a LOT lower. Only one decent place to eat in the village(the faux pub with nice home-cooked French food and Belgian beers), the rest is rip-off tourist fare. Childcare expensive, not very comprehensive, a 3 hour gap in the middle of the day makes it impossible to go anywhere, and so-so in quality. Evening entertainment poor, but have perhaps been a little spoilt by Club Med. No cleaning of apartment during stay even if there two weeks. Apartment v. cramped with kids. Apparently P+V members can get good prices with more things included, our deal was poor value for money. Unlikely to return.

Review 45:Beautiful place. Good exercise classes.

Review 46:the constant noise in village day and night. The very expensive prices at the Super U shop in village. (25 Pampers nappies for 12 euro instead of about 8 euro, 3,50 euro for 1 melon instead of 1,50 euro)

Review 47:swimming pool. Good location to visit the the Cote d'Azur. Good value restaurants in village.

Review 48:Only minor comments, to make your stay perfect. The two Petit Trainscould do with an extra coach now, they are so popular. The studio bunkbeds are ok for children but the space is cramped and not very practicalfor adults. We would like the microwaves to double as an oven, as theyused to - you can't cook many of the frozen foods sold in U-Marché.There are more pool sunbeds provided this year but if you are notswimming all day it is difficult to find a free one or even a space tosit on a towel somewhere (central pools). So we used the top Hameau pool- what a pity the wall there is high and you don't have a view of thesea as you are swimming (like you do from Place de la Bravade pool). Some of the trees on the site could do with pruning as they are growingup and obscuring the "sea view" from your patio.

Review 49:It's an exceedingly healthy resort, which we love. Cap gives us some ofthe best holidays we ever had. The site, including the woods and on thehills, feels very secure, and the views are stunning. The weather isalmost always fabulous, we love the freedom of walking, swimming, eating, and sleeping whenever we want. We like indoor parking and u-Marché, the reasonably priced Express supermarket. Having provision ofdishwasher, bed linen, tv and microwave is good. The Petit Train is agreat service linking the site. The new car-parking barrier equipmentworks much better than the old. The weekly Provence Market is fun and auseful service, whilst the swimming pools are excellent and the selling-point of the village.

Review 50:The restaurants seems different each other because have different signs but in reality have the same menu. After two days you are obliged to go out for dinner if you want have a choice. The restaurant staff also is very poor. The information at check-in very poor. No one warn you that if you want a deckchair in the swimming pool you must run!!

Review 51:The Resort is in a fantastic position. The view from the room was terrific. Also the swimming pools were perfectly maintained and exactly as expected. One week here is a very good experience with young children.

Review 52:A bit of a queue when we first arrived. If you have a car then there is extra charges to park on the resort site!! Good wifi but €12/week..

Review 53:Good location, with regard to local town and beaches. We had previously read bad reviews of this resort, but our experience was that all facilities were exceptionally good in all areas. The resort facilities were great, good shops, swimming pools (warm in July) and other leisure activities. As we did not have a car (travelled by train) our apartment was ideally localled for bus and local train facilities.

Review 54:Worn and tired appearance Staff not very helpful

Review 55:location

Review 56:Small room

Review 57:Lovely well equipped studio with large balcony and spectacular views. Three very nice large clean pools and a lovely village atmosphere.

Review 58:very good facilities and good value for money.

Review 59:Had everything all around shops restrants things to do for the kids everyday pools are great too .

Review 60:the fact that most activities were at an extra cost

Review 61:Very tniy room and nothing really works properly.

Review 62:beautiful view
