Reviews for Relais De La Malmaison Hôtel-Spa
Review 1:I had to insist in order to get some Chinon in my glass...Ha Ha !!
Review 2:Great service, very nice rooms, so close to Paris...so quite within a large park case to the river Seine and a 9 holes golf course. Great breakfast
Review 3:Struggle to get another cup of coffee or tea, as staff disappeared. Hotel relatively empty due to French holiday period and the closure of the restaurant. Would have liked more information on the spa area in English.
Review 4:Location good, good rooms, how somebody infirm would use the bath is beyond me. Spa area very good.
Review 5:I missed a few practical things, which should be common for a hotel in this category. Shower-heads not adjustable in height. Bath room fittings stylish, but not really functional. Two attempts needed to get working flat-iron. Feet of the ironing board kept crashing down. Totally worn out hangers, not usable for skirts. No TV remote control.
Review 6:Very quiet, nice area.
Review 7:Small room for 2 people - TV did not work and light bulb gone out of mirror in bathroom. These things should be checked. Wifi hit and miss in the room.
Review 8:Location. Food very good apart from a very small portion of risotto as a main course.
Review 9:- Plateaux repas du petit déjeuner par terre dans les couloirs jusqu'à 16H... - Accueil au petit déjeuner déplorable - Prix délirant au regard de la qualité de service
Review 10:Localisation agréable.
Review 11:We weren't too happy about the noisy concert over the river but that can't be helped. What really annoyed me was paying 10 euro's for half a pint of lager in the restaurant. For this reason, I won't be going back.
Review 12:I didn't like the quality of the dood at the restaurant. I chose the dish of the day which was completely tasteless and scarce.
Review 13:Personnel was very kind, I got my room earlier than usual checkin time which was highly appretiated. The hotel was great and the Spa was wonderful.
Review 14:No restaurants and shops around the close by but hotel restaurant. Breakfast is expensive and less vegetable but meat is served. Little bit away from town centre.
Review 15:Located beside golf course and Seina river, very quiet. Room is clean and with everything. If you want to away from noise, this is for you.
Review 16:for the second time i have book this hotel for the pool and hot tub, as i suffer from a bad back. Both instances the hot tub has only been luke warm for some reason! If this is a cost saving measure it defeats the purpose.
Review 17:I like the hotel in general.
Review 18:The waiter in restaurant was not very attentive, impatient and not very professional.
Review 19:The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Complimentary tray with, tea, coffee and cold water. Good breakfast and good food in restaurant.
Review 20:The rooms have sensors for the lights. The one in the toilet is a bit fast in switching off. So you sit in the dark :) Also, the shower did not have a big output. The amount of water coming out was very very low. The shower head is fitted very low as well.If you are above 5 feet, you will not fit.
Review 21:Large estate with a good restaurant and very friendly staff Nice room with a spacious bath
Review 22:Breakfast was very poor and untasteful! After breakfast I had a meeting and wanted to use the terrace outside for coffee. They told me it was closed so I couldn't drink anything in my own hotel! Very strange behavior for a 5-star hotel. Staff was very unfriendly.
Review 23:First impression was very good, location, spa, rooms, everything prefect.
Review 24:Room looks really good, but some problems under the surface, TV and safe not working , room service slow.
Review 25:Lovely setting close to centre of Paris. Helpful staff.
Review 26:I find the resturant a bit disappointing as the menu is formal and contains a lot of sauce. I would like to see some bistro style meals, simply grilled fish or meat with salads and vegetables. Therefore I tend to eat in the plaza by the river.
Review 27:The staff are very nice and polite. The location is lovely in the summer, with a nice walk along the river towards the business area. Not far from the station. Very pleasant room, cool, quiet and comfortable. Nice touch with slippers and 4 different style of bottled water to choose from with compliments
Review 28:Terrible wifi, totally unsuitable for business travellers. The connection was slow and constantly dropping out. The network needs to be overhauled by a professional, simply unacceptable in this day and age!
Review 29:Relaxing location
Review 30:Nothing
Review 31:Nice and quiet hotel with a good restaurant. I did not get the chance to try the SPA but it looks very nice.
Review 32:movement detection for light in toilet
Review 33:green quiet area + meals
Review 34:Pool is inside, not outside.
Review 35:Sweet place. Very quiet. Be sure to walk into town, very nice.
Review 36:Perfect service
Review 37:poor dinner no charme
Review 38:nice room nice place kind personnel good breakfast
Review 39:The access to the spa is what makes this place exceptional
Review 40:Wifi was very intermitant, had to reauthenticate every 20 mins
Review 41:Restaurant was great food and value for money
Review 42:Wifi charging for mediocre internet is not great
Review 43:nothing
Review 44:every things are nice
Review 45:Not enough staff
Review 46:actually nothing :D
Review 47:the spa, unlimitted access to pool & jacusie, very wide openning hours
Review 48:nothing to say a bad word about
Review 49:a top class hotel that offers all you could ask for
Review 50:Terrible WiFi
Review 51:Everything is perfect in my staying
Review 52:A bit too secluded if you do not have a car. It is a good 15 minute walk to get to get to any shops, etc.
Review 53:Modern and spacious room. Nice secluded location.
Review 54:The hotel is set in its own grounds - unusual and very pleasant for Paris. A very peaceful place to stay in a busy city. The restaurant menu, although limited, was uniformly excellent
Review 55:WIFI in restaurant had poor quality but it was fast and stable in the room.
Review 56:Beautiful and very relaxing location, very kind staff, good breakfast. I was able to control the heater.
Review 57:While free WiFi was a nice extra, the performance was a little variable. Would have liked more ability to control the heating in the rooms as it got a little too warm and we couldn't adjust to make it cooler (I could have asked Reception about this, but didn't - perhaps they could have done something).
Review 58:We loved the grounds around the hotel - it felt very tranquil - and that we were only a 15 minute walk from the train into Paris. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very good. The spa offered a good choice of treatment and Mum had a super massage. Free WiFi and water in the rooms.
Review 59:The tv did not work in the 2 rooms I tried. The DVD player not working in 2 rooms. No hot water in 1st room. No desk light in 2 nd room. Arrangement of taps on bath simply ridiculous and easy to be burned with hot water.
Review 60:Breakfast was good,
Review 61:Wifi kept switching off had to keep trying to connect to different room. Hear oppressive didn't matter if you turned down the thermostat it was still hot. Egg bath didn't work at breakfast and eggs were raw.
Review 62:Location, staff were helpful.
Review 63:wifi access is intermittent. After a long evening travelling the bar was closed at 10.45pm and there was no effort to support serving a drink apart from a bottle for room service to one room, we were a group of 4 meeting. The lights were turned off in the bar as we arrived, no attempt was made to stay open/re-open for 4 people.
Review 64:Bedrooms and linens are comfortable
Review 65:The wifi connections are irritating, they are individual for each room and drop out periodically so you have to connect to an adjoinng room, the apple TV can also be a bit sporadic with connections.
Review 66:I stay in Rueil almost weekly and this is my first choice of hotel, the location is peaceful, rooms are sound proof and beds/linens are terrific.
Review 67:the automatic lights in the bathroom and toilet, the restaurant (no fruit, no vegetables in the menu, wine not very good; the steak tartare coarsely cut without it being specified on the menu)
Review 68:the quiet, the view on the Seine, the working table, the room was spacious, the room cleaning service long hours, the sauna (but no towels provided)
Review 69:The dinner we had in the hotel's restaurant on sunday night. It was no where or not clear that , "there is no manu on sunday". The foods were delicious, but dessert was not so ...
Review 70:There is tennis court and pool . The location is very nice.
Review 71:We were charged twice for one night, both on our arrival and departure. To get the money back we had to wait for 6 days. There were only one setof towels and one glass in our prereserved doubleroom. The air conditiondid not work.
Review 72:The location.
Review 73:Sanitary was at the limet of working/not working :° Toilet water did sometimes keep running . After a second push , it did stop . ° Letting flow water away from the bath was not evident . ° Debit warm water was just limit
Review 74:Has someissues with the in-room entertainment. Wifi dropped out occassionally plus the imac was playing up, so had to be replaced. All sorted though, so no real complaint
Review 75:Very nice accomodation, air conditioned, quiet, comfortable room/ bed. Nice breakfast.
Review 76:The shower is a death trap: You need to be a gymnast to get out of the shower, holding on to a glass panel coming unglued from the tile and an engineer to turn the water on. The "Spa" was an indoor pool with a changing room: Nothing else was working. Internet constantly needed to be RE-booted. Not very convenient to metro (10 minute walk) or town (10 minutes).
Review 77:Front desk staff was beautiful and very helpful.
Review 78:access to shoping and restaurants unless you are inclined to walk. the setting is suburban
Review 79:calm natural location in the suburbs of Paris. Singing birds and a beautiful view of the Seine
Review 80:A bit too hot water in jacuzzi (I guess good for winter ;)
Review 81:A beautiful peaceful location, SPA, spacious comfortable and nicely decorated rooms, nice bathroom, center of Paris is relatively close with RER. Would prefer this to the same travel distance in the metro
Review 82:All in all quite expensive. Hotel rooms are located 200 m from the reception: bring your umbrella!
Review 83:Nice ambiance, good beds. Located near the Seine, 15 minutes walking distance from RER station.
Review 84:Very good value for money. Calm and beatiful lication. Recently built and well designed property, perfect selection of activities. Kind and helpful personnel. Great restaurant. Will definitely recommend to all our friends.
Review 85:Walking to my room from the reception, bar and restaurant would not have been nice if it was raining.
Review 86:Freindly, helpful staff Good sized room Comfort and cleanliness of the whole hotel Simple check-in and check-out
Review 87:Automatic lights in the Bathroom & Toilet were annoying
Review 88:Location was excellent on the banks of the Seine within 10 mins walking distance from the RER station. Good internet and free
Review 89:The rooms overlooking the Seine in the new annex have a public carpark in front of them and people came and made a good deal of noise at night disturbing our sleep.
Review 90:An extremely peaceful location in a very busy city but still within fairly easy reach of the centre.
Review 91:This is clearly not a 4 star hotel in any stretch of the imagination!!! When we entered the dining room and said we would like to have a light dinner, we were told to go to the bar. The bar was very crowded and noisy. We returned to the restaurant and could not be seated. Finally, after we left, an employee came running after us in the parking lot and said we could sit in the lounge area next to the dining room. We still were not permitted into the table-clothed dining room, even though we were very nicely dressed. Earlier we had lunch at Maison Fournaise, where Renoire painted the "Luncheon of the Boating Party". After much discussion, the staff finally agreed to serve us some wine, cheese platter, and dessert. It was very uncomfortable sitting in a bar-room setting and embarrassing that we could not be served in the beautiful dining room six feet away. Since this is such a remote location and it was getting dark, we chose to suffer through this rather than to drive to another location risking getting lost at night. We had already taken a 40 minute walk looking for an alternative, but nothing was around this remote location. Also, when returning from our dinner fiasco, there was a man in our room, supposedly working on the bathroom floor. He did not speak any English or French. He gathered his tools, returning once again to check for more tools, and left with no explanation. We could not understand how any management could allow a workman to do work after 7:30 PM in an occupied room. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 2, 3 or 4-star hotel.
Review 92:Check-in was very satisfactory.
Review 93:THe room computer was confusing and the tv/computer would not completely switch off when the on/off button on the remote was pressed so we had to unplug it and put a coat over it so we were not disturbed by the screen light. We were in room 129, perhaps you should check it. Also, could not turn on AC to make the room cooler thatn 17 degrees.
Review 94:Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Review 95:Quiet location, close to the river (although it is then a little walk to shops, restaurants etc). Good restaurant, and a real plus to have the spa available (free) to guests.
Review 96:Nothing negative I can think of, try it!
Review 97:This is really what a hotel should be like. Excellent location, so close to Paris and yet so rural, great kitchen, perfect beds, fantastic room-entertainement system, perfect air-conditioning, delicious breakfast, in 25 years of travelling this is most definetely one of the best hotels I have ever visited, really something to go back to, next time I am in Paris, and you can even play golf, if the time is there...
Review 98:The food services were a bit of a let down, as the breakfast was under staffed, and there was no dinner, lunch & bar opened.
Review 99:Staff was very nice to us. I was impressed. Rooms were also clean and sufficiently spaces. The facility was spaces so had no Claustrophobic feeling. Right behind the hotel was the river, and on the side was the golf course. So the air was very fresh. And there is a long, beautiful and soothing walking path along the river.
Review 100:This place is a green and quiet oasis just 15min away from La Defense. Great place if you want to escape the big city rush but still like to be nearby.
Review 101:One of the staff take my telephone order that I didn't see at all untillI left the Hotel... :-(
Review 102:Very Good Hotel even though in the Heart of Paris, the location is morelike Countryside luxury Hotel surrounded by Trees, Golf club, Spa andthe feeling of been elsewhere than Paris... Brillant, I will goagain...
Review 103:No closed connection to the spa from the rooms.
Review 104:Silence. The Seine River at its best. Walking along the river under the trees. Wandering across the streets of Rueil Malmaison. Large rooms and bath. Clean and fresh air. Close to business districts. Good breakfast.
Review 105:Breakfast was too expensive.
Review 106:Comfortable rooms, excellent service, peaceful location, and centre of Paris is just 20 minutes away..We are definitely coming back.
Review 107:located on the edge of paris, a taxi or metro ride in. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well located next to the Seine, we had a pleasant view from our room. Our evening meal was superb.
Review 108:I did not like the shower/bath arrangement of taps. It was confusing to switch from bath to shower and hot to cold. In fact it was dangerous as the hot water came on and complicated to switch off. The last morning there was only hot water from the shower. It would not come through the bath taps and someone came from reception but also could not get it working. I suggest some instructions should be displayed to avoid someone getting burnt.
Review 109:The bedrooms were comfortable, bright and had plenty of electric points for phone chargers, hairdryer etc. The beds comfortable. I liked the cd player and tv - very useful for non french speaking guests to bring their own DVDs as there is little english language tv.
Review 110:The small bar is very nice for meeting business associates, but quite pricey.
Review 111:The Relais de la Malmaison is the best hotel in the Rueil Malmaison business district. The hotel is immaculate, the staff is friendly and efficient, the in-room amenities are great and the front desk always has what I forgot to pack (from a a razor to an adapter). The restaurant is excellent and while I have yet to be able to have the time to take advantage of the spa, I hope I will on my next business trip.
Review 112:Room (Apt.) very spacy, Quality of Dinner very good!
Review 113:Very nice surrounding, excelent SPA facilities

Review 117:It is nice hotel for relaxation it is so calm
Review 118:The staff, the location. Just perfect and Will recommend to friends and family.
Review 119:The bathroom is in 2 rooms not all stuff in one room
Review 120:The staff helpful and nice
Review 121:The rooms can be very warm
Review 122:Very clean and comfortable rooms, breakfast excellent as are the staff
Review 123:Wi-fi was less than optimal
Review 124:Excellent staff
Review 125:Facility quite different than other hotels in Paris , more space andquite
Review 126:Restaurant, this time meat cooking was not good at all. (Beef Paleron )
Review 127:Service Sympathy Sourrounding Equipments
