Reviews for El Mirador de las Monjas

Review 1:Allow extra time to find the hotel

Review 2:Quiet, comfortable, friendly, relaxed, excellent value for money, perfect location, free outdoor car parking facilities

Review 3:The shower was a bit tricky as it was difficult to avoid getting water on the bathroom floor. Also needs a shelf in the shower and an extra mirror in the bedroom.

Review 4:Beautiful breakfast out on the terrace, with stunning views. Stylish and modern decor. Very quiet and a great location in the town.

Review 5:Difficult to find but plenty of car-parking space once you find the hotel

Review 6:Good breakfast out on the terrace under a fig tree. Modern room, very clean, very helpful staff

Review 7:Slow wifi

Review 8:Fantastic location in the old town, beautiful outdoor terrace for breakfast and dinner. Room was small but good bathroom. Absolutely brilliant!

Review 9:The shower was not so great

Review 10:The location is fantastic .The hotel/restaurant garden is picture book pretty . The staff was extremely friendly

Review 11:Wifi not in the room. A little difficult to get to the hotel.

Review 12:Beautiful location, nice 'personal' breakfast.

Review 13:Just to tell it was difficult to reach the hotel because it was holy week and every street to access the hotel was closed. We weren't informed about this and when we arrived there walking up with the bags nobody showed up so it was a little bit streesful. We weren't informed about the wifi password and later on I was trying to guess where I could contact with reception. Just some details although I must say the stuff tried to help but without paying much attention..

Review 14:Modern, clean, comfortable

Review 15:The room was modern and immaculate. The staff was great. Ricardo picked us up at the bus station and took us to the bus station upon our departure. Great location for the historical sights in Trujillo. Ricardo helped us in finding places to eat and see.

Review 16:The roads inside the city wall are so tiny and the direction is only known by the residents. So it's better to ask the hotel for the way to reach.

Review 17:It's not in the crowded area and is next to the fortress (alcazaba).

Review 18:A street light shone immediately outside our room and it was difficult to leave the window open for ventilation and have the blind keep the light out adequately.

Review 19:the two proprietors were most friendly and obliging and gave us a vey good meal in their beautifully designed restaurant. Their hotel is wonderfully located at the top of Trujillo close to the castle and the views over the town and the surrounding countryside are spectacular. There is free parking and WiFi

Review 20:A little difficult to find.

Review 21:Staff very friendly and helpful. A small hotel, modern and well appointed. Parking a dream after some other experiences in Spain.

Review 22:Possibility to sit outside in the garden/terrace between lunch and dinner is somehow limited.

Review 23:Very friendly and helpful owners. Excellent service and location, beautiful views, fantastic restaurant with really excellent food, rooms large and modern, bathroom top standard; everything clean with a lot of light. In terms of value for money this place is absolutely top and unbeatable.

Review 24:Our only complaint was that the aircon would not work overnight, and therooms were very hot.

Review 25:We had a really friendly welcome to the hotel and were given booksabout the area and the local birdlife. We were unable to eat in therestaurant as our stay was Monday night and it was closed. However wehad a beautiful breakfast sat on the terrace under a fig tree full ofdelicious ripe fruit!! The hotel is set in an old building but theinterior is really modern, but still in keeping with the surroundings. The location of the hotel, right next to the castle was fabulous andcar parking was available behind the hotel on the Balcon overlookingthe surrounding area. Trujillo is such an interesting place - wellworth visiting.

Review 26:We were made completely welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived until our departure. The owners went out of their way to see that our wants and needs were met in every way. Our room was quite comfortable, the food was consistently very good, WiFi connection was good. The hotel is situated at the high end of the village so it is necessary to pass through the medieval neighborhoods until - voila! The hotel is next to the castle, above the plaza mayor, the dining garden looks out over steeples and roof tops where storks are nesting and swallows are swooping, the church bells call the hours - its a different world.

Review 27:nothing at all really

Review 28:good location. good value for money

Review 29:Lovely rooms, nice people who run it. Kindly gave us a lift back down to the bus station. Beautiful terrace outside for breakfast.

Review 30:Nothing

Review 31:The terrace for dinner is excellent, the menu very good.

Review 32:fabulous within castle walls (which you wouldn't know from the front entrance). Very warm welcome.
