Reviews for Hotel Victoria

Review 1:The room stank of perfume on arrival, suspect the cleaning staff went overboard on spray or spilt some, we heard other guests complaining as well. The worst thing is the resort itself, we were only staying one night on our way to Verona. Be warned, there is absolutely nothing there apart from 2 restaurants, both a low tourist standard.

Review 2:Average hotel, pleasant staff and room size and decor okay. Good job we booked parking as they only have about 4 slots.

Review 3:No surprise for honeymooners, even upgrade of the room. View from the room was on the trash cans.. Parking price

Review 4:Well-situated near the sea, boulangeries and supermarkets. Room is clean, rather big, hotel is easy to find. Personel is always ready to help

Review 5:Not the hotel's fault, but the rock/stone beach isn't what we were used to. Still, Cannes is under an hour away and had an amazing beach.

Review 6:Perfect location, right on the edge of the town Martin and a quick drive into Monaco. Plenty of restaurants and stores to pick up items to eat. Staff were incredibly friendly and knew English. We especially liked the one girl who literally brought in our bags, helped us get towels for the beach, and served us at the bar. She was awesome! Huge balcony overlooking the Med with comfortable furniture, great view of the Bastille Day parade. There is even a motorized shade to cover your window for the morning. Great air conditioning! Loved our experience at Hotel Victoria.

Review 7:Well, not much really, except maybe that our room was over a pizzeria and there was some noise from the customers, as well as from the street. But after 22.30-23.00 it was quiet and we could hear the sea....

Review 8:The location directly at the beach, the design of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff. Overall a great hotel! Would love to come again!

Review 9:Nothing really, my advice is to book parking with the hotel because on street parking can be busy and ask for a sea view room.

Review 10:Very nice hotel, clean and modern with everything you will need for a getaway close to Monaco. On a nice nice strip with a nice few restaurants that are all well priced.

Review 11:Night staff was not there to open, had to wait more than 10 minutes. Shower clogged, the water was overspilling in the bathroom in a second

Review 12:Location and terrace with nice sea view Senior Staff was really friendly

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:The decor and the general ambience was great, the lobby was well-designed and welcoming. Safe parking on the street outside, in winter ... nearby restaurants pretty good.

Review 15:Realy do not know.

Review 16:Nicely renovated, modern, friendly look, innovative architecture without unnecessary frills. Good sound insulation. Nice view to the beach just in front of hotel. Excellent restaurant just next door.

Review 17:Wifi was slow, Could improve in Breakfast (if you wan an Omelete you have to pay extra, considering what you pay it is not reasonable) and no clear informations.

Review 18:Reception, The staff, the rooms are good. The Bus/shutttle from Airport and from Monaco stops in from of hotel. Wonderfull

Review 19:My wife and I stayed there for two nights. On departure we bothcommented on it probably being the best hotel, in its class, that wehave ever stayed in throughout Europe. We travel a lot and always havesmall issues with the hotels we stay in. Not at "HotelVictoria" in Roquebrune San Martin it surpassed all ourexpectations. Congratulations to the hotel and keep it up. Thanks againIain & Kaye

Review 20:None

Review 21:The hotel was perfect and we spent nice week there. Was clean, staff very friendly and fantastic see view with nice evenings on the terrace... If you want a good hotel near by go for it!

Review 22:Cap Martin seems like it is a beach area for wealthy French, and Italian families. Not sure they were too happy with foreigners who didn't speak their language flawlessly. Of course the hotel staff spoke English, but some were a bit impatient and curt...most were very helpful, although I did wait an hour and a half for a bus that never came. The train strike didn't help. Would only return with French or Italian friends although it was really beautiful, quiet and clean.

Review 23:Very clean hotel with modern decor located across the street from the sea and wonderful walkway into town or around the coast...spectacular walk if one heads out the door to the right. One can see all of Monaco and the coastline...really beautiful! Close to train and if they aren't on strike! Bus right outside the door. Unbelievable French bakery around the corner!

Review 24:Light bathroom in the night disturbing, some street noise of traffic

Review 25:Nice helpfull staff, room with seaview, close to Monaco

Review 26:Bedding and overall room comfort was great.

Review 27:very welcoming and friendly staff who helped make the stay special

Review 28:The hotel was very comfortable with nice outdoor space. Well located and spotlessly clean

Review 32:Pet friendly Location Nice decoration Comfortable room

Review 33:Breakfast 14euros

Review 34:Modern clean location

Review 35:modern room free mini-bar (water, soda)

Review 36:location , very clean , the stuff very helpful and kind .

Review 37:Air conditioning failed in our room.

Review 38:Location, breakfasts, very friendly and helpful staff.

Review 39:A modern hotel with attractive decor well appointed rooms and bathrooms, good facilities and excellent service.

Review 40:Location

Review 41:WLAN does not work in every room

Review 42:Location, very clean and well maintained. Very good breakfast buffet.

Review 43:Room facilities

Review 44:Breakfast too expensive

Review 45:Most things

Review 46:excellent welcome, service, cleanliness of the rooms, very friendly staff, recommend very much to choose this modern hotel with super service.

Review 47:Noise.the sea view rooms are within 15 meters of the busy road.

Review 48:very average hotel

Review 49:facility is good.

Review 50:Staff were excellent couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms were really nice and well appointed, tea and coffee making facilities a very welcome touch as were the free drinks in the mini bar. Breakfast great too. Great little Italian restaurant next door.

Review 51:There were no facecloths in the bathroom. The television could have had more English channels.

Review 52:The breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 53:The wi fi in the room worked only in a single fixed spot. The mini fridge didn't cool properly. It was not clear when booking whether it had see view or not.

Review 54:Very neat. The staff was very polite and helpful and spoke different languages. The room design is beautiful.

Review 55:Hotel owns only 1th floor, the rest are private residential apartments, so you can enjoy the sea from the 6th floor.

Review 56:Great hotel with a super sea view and directly on the beach. Quiet area only 20min from Monaco.

Review 57:Wish there was more tourist literature around lobby sp that one could get oriented on what the hotel syaff recommends or what the locL tour org fecommends to do Donot want to search wensites on vacation to learn where to go!

Review 58:Location is perfect. Superior room is great with balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfast was lovely.

Review 59:No iron or ironing board in room.

Review 60:Spacious room, welcome drink and free water, juice and soft drink in mini bar. An added plus were the tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Review 61:The room was rather small, as you didn't really have room to move around the bed. It also didn't offer enough storage room for our luggage. Another downside was that the hotel didn't offer enough parking spaces and the ones it did had were far and rather hard to find.

Review 62:It was a tidy hotel with a friendly staff. It's location just across from the sea shore was great.

Review 63:The hotel has very clean and comparatively large rooms, and also nice viewsfrom the rooms. Very helpful staff, particularly Ms. Laurence and Ms. Celine.

Review 64:Excellent location, incl bus from Nice Airport stops at the door;sea view room was very comfortable with nice balcony;excellent bathroom;a very modern hotel that felt very much part of its local community.Though next to road noise at night not a problen due to good sound-proofing

Review 65:nothing not to like

Review 66:the room size was fantastic, the décor lovely, the bed very very comfortable, lovely linen and pillows, very friendly staff and a great welcome on arrival

Review 67:Could use a bit more info on train, bus schedules for getting to othercote d'azur towns and transfers to the airport.glass partition in shower/tub is similar to other european hotels but completely useless at containing water inside the tub, leading to some early rot/mould evident in our bathroom

Review 68:View, chilled out vibe, great breakfast buffet, patio

Review 69:The bathroom was a bit small for two persons.

Review 70:Superb location and view over the Mediterranean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very fresh and clean design. The private parking just in front of the hotel was a great help.

Review 71:No complaints , it was perfect for the price . Just hope too many people don't start discovering it and it's always fully booked

Review 72:Clean,very good location , excellent breakfast and room service . The sea view rooms are worth the extra cost

Review 73:Only a couple of parking spaces next to the hotel (owned by thehotel). Pre-book if you need one (15€). Overall a little pricey butworth the money.

Review 74:Very nice and modern room. Nice location next to the beach.Menton in walking distance (2km). Excellent breakfast. Freedrinks in the mini-bar.

Review 75:The fridge in the room is not cold, the parking was complicated, far and on payment.

Review 76:The Room are spacious and the bed is big and comfortable, the location is perfect, right in front of the beach and really near to Montecarlo.

Review 77:All the beaches are rock. Not so close to Menton town where all the stores and markets are, about 2 miles away since we ran it to see it.

Review 78:Staff was helpful I'm helping us make dinner reservations. AC worked fine unlike other places we stayed on same trip. Food nearby was excellent (Fellini's & Cocody Sur right on beach where you can also rent chairs w cushions). Great bakery w croissants around corner to the left when facing the hotel.

Review 79:great decor, very comfortable feel to the place, very nice staff, especially the cheerful gentleman who helped with our luggage and at breakfast!! lovely sea views. great attention to detail and comfort.

Review 80:Nothing. It was perfect!

Review 81:Loved the room design and the luxurious bathroom. Beautiful balcony with wonderfully comfortable lounge chairs. Fabulous views!

Review 82:Breakfast was nice but quite expensive. Road out front was sometimes noisy from the balcony or if the balcony door was open. Sea could have been a bit warmer ;-)

Review 83:Good things; Lovely helpful staff!! Really welcoming. Sea view room has amazing views. Lovely room; very comfy, clean, excellent shower. Nice touches like free loan of huge beach towels and some complementary items in mini bar. Very comfortable balcony seats to relax in; we slept on them In the afternoons. Beach out the front was lovely, some nice places to walk around the cap and up in the medieval villages.

Review 84:Breakfast was acceptable but could have been better value for money.

Review 85:Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Room was luxurious with wonderful sea view and lovely balcony. Really convenient for transfer from Nice airport with bus stop in front of hotel.

Review 86:The Internet connection (both on wi-fi and wired) is free, but isextremely slow and frequently does not work at all. Cannot be reliedupon if you need to work, download a document. (Similar story whenstayed at this hotel previously)Petit dejeuner express - would benefit from giving diners a plate. Croissants just end up making a mess all over the tasteful and (previously) immaculately clean carpet.

Review 87:Great view, location, quiet end of the bay, handy for public transportto Monaco Staff good Good extras - fresh lemon on arrival; soft drinksin room Love the decor/ambience

Review 88:Not a complaint - just a note to train travellers :The address of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin is a little confusing. The nearest railway station (an easy walk) is Carnolès; the Roquebrune-Cap-Martin station (the nearest stop for Roquebrune Village which is in fact further away than Menton) is on the western side of Cap-Martin.

Review 89:A very pleasant hotel overlooking the Plage de Carnolès to the east ofCap-Martin and very close to Menton. The design is simple and pleasant, making use of plain, open reception areas in a way that makes them feelinteresting, sunny and welcoming. Room very comfortable with a nicebalcony and view. The staff were very friendly and helpful and roomservice was quick, varied and useful. Breakfast was fine. Free minibarwith soft drinks and tea-making facilities in the room were nice touches

Review 90:Kan be noisy during high season as all rooms are on the first floor.

Review 91:The initial impression is quote bad as it is a typical 70s building. However the rooms are very modern and recently renovated and the staff exceptional. Not To mention the breakfast on the balcony in front of the beach! Much cheaper than staying in Monaco

Review 92:Listening to the sound of the waves from a big bed that did not have oneof those horrid centre seams. Nice linen, clean lines, friendly staffand a good capuccino. Lovely little area to explore and two nice Italianrestaurants close by.

Review 93:Great location, we got a room with a full sea view. Rooms and luxurious high-quality professional staff, courteous and welcoming tourists. Fact this hotel gives a great sense of freedom Riviera - we really felt at home! I have no words to praise all of this hotel!

Review 94:Excellent value for money. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms with a beautiful view from the large balcony. Mini bar which included 5 free bottles of coke/water each day. Can not find one fault with this hotel.

Review 95:Friendly staff are passionate to provide suggestions about good restaurants. So accessible to beach - just accross the road. The location may not be easy for tourists depending on public transportation but its definitely worthy renting a car and staying here. Because the beach is way less crowded and very calm in most of the weather situations due to the shield from the bay. Wonderful experience in Hotel Victorua!

Review 96:Everything...did it all right!

Review 97:We were truly blown away by Hotel Victoria. If every business in the world modeled themselves after them the service industry would all be 5 star. The service and attention to our every detail was amazing. They went out of their way to accommodate us in every way. The view of the sea can't be beat, the hotel and rooms were immaculate and a good size and the breakfast was lovely. You are two blocks away from the train to Monte Carlo - it was a pleasure in every way. We highly recommend it!

Review 98:Very comfortable hotel with good location near the sea, good design, cleanliness, excellent service. The staff is very helpfull and knows four languages. Strongly recommended to stay in this hotel.

Review 99:parking is a bit of a pain - pre book your parking

Review 100:the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the location is superb, the room we had was really comfortable

Review 101:Actually everything was excellent. May be Russian tv channel would begreat to add.

Review 102:Excellent location. The beach is just across the road from the hotel.Beautiful views from the room. Modern premises with new equipment andvery interesting design. Wi-fi worked perfectly well at any time. In thesame building there is a supermarket where you can buy some food, fruitsand all other necessary things. Outstanding work of personnel.Professional behavior and right attitude. Very close to other cities ofCoute de Azur. You can even take a one hour walk to Monaco along theseaside. The beach is public, free of charge. Quite crowdy but notirritating. In the same building there is a very nice Italian restaurantand 5 minutes from hotel there is a French restaurant with an excellentFrench and Indian cuisine. Both have views to the sea. I woulddefinitely select this hotel next year again.

Review 103:Parking was into a tight space but we used the train which was about 10 minutes walk away at the most and which reached Monaco within 2 minutes.

Review 104:We loved the position just across the road from the public beach with the clean water (you need shoes to protect your feet from the pebbles) and the fact the hotel supplied large bath sheets and chairs to take across. The airco was so quiet and worked well. The balcony was nice was reasonably comfortable chairs if you can sit low. The room with the lake view we had was spacious and had a lovely bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable. There was a large safe and a minibar. Breakfast was nice. The staff were pleasant. It was not cheap but definitely worth the money. We were sad to go.

Review 105:Very poor breakfast, not enough parking space

Review 106:Very nice hotel, excellent designed rooms, good location- about 50 metersfrom the see, very clean, kind personal

Review 107:Noise from outside, elevator?, noise of neighbours coming at their room at 4.30 am kept us awake

Review 108:Location, tv, bathcosmetics, alarmcloc'k, big terrace, good breakfast

Review 109:The location of the Hotel is great. Staff and Hotel offers a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are clean and have beautiful view onto beach and ocean. Good restaurants are close by and staff offers plenty of recommendation for little trips to the surrounding areas. The coast walk is breathtaking.

Review 110:Very comfortable accomodation in new conditions. Bathroom nice and new, nice powerful shower, beds comfortable. Staff very good, brilliant beach location.

Review 111:Comfortable, modern hotel. Super location. The friendly Englishspeaking staff as well. A tasty breakfast buffet. 8 minutes to MonteCarlo. Free internet.

Review 112:Very nice hotel in excellent location. Staff was outstanding andvery helpful. We used this hotel on our way to Italy and actually stayed again on the way back. Room was very nice and very quiet. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay there again and feel compelled to review.

Review 113:Everything everyone else says about Hotel Victoria is true. We bookedhere after reading the reviews. It is clean and quiet and the staff areamazing. Actually, the service was beyond what we expected. Our daughterwanted a hair cut and the gentleman at the front desk took that requestfor a place to get a good cut very seriously. My daughter is 21 andwanted a good design since she was getting 12 inches cut off from herhair. He thought for a moment and then said, " I need to call my wife toget a recommendation". Ten minutes later we had the name of a salon thatwas waiting for us-- it was 6pm and they were so happy to see us. Mydaughters hair turned out fantastic and in fact it was so good that Idecided to come back the next day to get my hair styled. This verypositive experience would not have been possible without the assistanceof the hotel staff. We would come back in a minute but live far far awayin Chicago.

Review 114:The hotel is very well designed with nice room, especially the ones towards the seaside. The stuff is very nice and helpful and the hotel is super clean. A hotel worth to go.

Review 115:The express continental breakfast is served at the bar not in the seated dining area.

Review 116:Excellent all round. The reception staff were outstanding in their welcome and effort to make sure all our needs were met and that we enjoyed out stay. Sea View highly recommended and the rooms and modern decor of the hotel is wonderful. Would definitely go there again.

Review 117:I thought it was a bit strange having a full length window into the bathroom so that you could watch your partner showering! When in the shower you could look through the window and see yourself in the mirror positioned in the hallway - bizarre!

Review 118:The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was large and airy. View fantastic!

Review 119:Larger bath towels would make the experience much better (which we hadon Day 1 but not thereafter)If arriving with a car, need to understand clearly the options for parking. Access to/from the underground car park was not easy........and would have been more tricky if car park had been more full Having to eat 'express breakfast' with no plates and apart from other breakfast eaters.

Review 120:The location (for the specific purposes of my trip) was excellent Thedecor and 'ambience' throughout the hotel was great The room wasspacious and very well equipped It is very useful having the iPod/iPhonedock and sufficient power points for computing equipment The sea viewfrom the room was good

Review 121:The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful in every way. The view from our room was georgeous and the room itself was clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated. Really nice bathroom too. Liked everything about it.

Review 122:They had a baby bed for our baby but no baby chairs. It is a bit far away from restaurants.

Review 123:The hotel is very nice and comfortable. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
