Reviews for Hotel Restaurant Hassenforder
Review 1:As with many hotels in France there was no fridge and the WiFi was not working properly during our stay. Also the room was a little noisy, we could hear the people in the rooms alongside of us.
Review 2:Perfectly located in the old town of Kaysersberg in Alsace this property is good value for the very reasonable price we paid. Public parking nearby was 2 Euro per day but if you parked around the corner it was free. Wine tasting outlets were very close and the surrounding area with its wine route was stunningly beautiful.
Review 3:At this time we had a car, and there is a car park 200 meters. We tried to extend another day but they were full an found us space at Ramparts on the other end of the car park. This hotel is right in the heart of things,
Review 4:Squeaky beds, creaking doors and steep stairways, but what do you expect in a real 17th century house?
Review 5:The location of the hotel is perfect and the village of Kaysersberg is beautiful, lots of history and caracter. The food and the service in the restaurant is top class. This was our fifth stay at Hassenforder!
Review 6:Room was the smallest I stayed in but the bathroom was particularly nice. Breakfast options were limited and personally I found the hunting trophies (animal heads set into the wall) a bit yukky while I was eating breakfast but then I am a bit screamish and anti-hunting!
Review 7:Very central and friendly. Colourful decor with old world charm and interesting info about Roger Hassenforder
Review 8:The rooms were quite small. Ours was on the front over the outdoor restaurant seating, which was noisy. There was no lobby where our group could sit.
Review 9:The location was great, at one end of the old town, near to parking. Kaysersberg was very charming.
Review 10:Good atmosphere. Excellent restaurant.
Review 11:Room was small and dated.
Review 12:Location was great, room clean and good bathroom.
Review 13:Good breakfast and restaurant
Review 14:No one to greet us has it were shut had to get key from a different hotel room very hot no air conditioning
Review 15:Location
Review 16:The breakfast consisted of bread and jam!
Review 17:Not very welcoming staff, stairs steep and awkward
Review 18:The walls are tiny. it was a bit loud.
Review 19:Staff is not the most polite but then you are in France :)
Review 20:Location, room quality, ambiance
Review 21:Maybe too expensive.
Review 22:Real Alsacian experience. Nice, clean comfortable.
Review 23:Room far too small. Would book a bigger (more expensive) room if I went again
Review 24:Restaurant Location
Review 25:The rooms we had were very small and there was no lobby or anyplace to lounge. That would have been much appreciated. Our room faced the street over the outdoor restaurant seating so was not quiet. We skipped the breakfast since it was just coffee or tea and bread.
Review 26:Kaysersberg is a very nice town, and the hotel is in a great location.
Review 27:Room located on the street over outdoor seating was a bit noisy. Any other room would have been fine. This didn't really bother us however.
Review 28:Location was perfect. Close to parking. Food is very good and their dining room was always busier than others nearby.
Review 29:The street light on the wall outside my room shining brightly all night through fairly thin curtains.
Review 30:The room, the hotel restaurant menu, the food, the house wine.
Review 31:The coffee is generous but reminds me of the McDonalds' coffee of old...internet access advertised, the signal was so weak that I could not get on the net to contact family, had to go to tourist office where unfriendly, but helpful lady allowed me 15 minutes on the computer, when I said I have my own laptop she indicated that I can go outside and have another 15 minutes, somewhat ridiculous arrangement...this is no reflection on the hotel except that they were unable to help....saying too bad...the signal is the signal...
Review 32:Great, simple food good value, fast service, attentive staff, good continetal breakfast, the bread and the croissant could be fresher....they made up for it by giving this solo traveller 1/2 liter of orange juice
Review 33:I've been staying at hostels for a while and the accommodations here were astronomically better than what I'm used to. Everything was wonderful!
Review 34:We arrived early to dinner at the hotel restaurant and were treated very rudely. After waiting patiently for an hour with only a glass of tap water, we finally asked if the kitchen was open, and had to work hard for the waitresses attention to get served. The meal was well below par, and the prices high. I would stay in the hotel again, but not eat there.
Review 35:The room was adequate and clean.
Review 36:A lot of stairs to the top floor. Eaves of the roof line made you careful to watch your head which was more difficult in the bathroom. Very poor lighting in the room.
Review 37:Room was spacious.Conveniently located.
Review 38:Lack of A.C. in the summer heat. Staff smoking on the street below our window led to smell of cigarettes in the room.
Review 39:The staff and the restaurant, the large and nicely furnished rooms.
Review 40:The hotel is a kind of labyrinth...
Review 41:Kaysersberg is one of our favorite destinations in France and Hassenforder is a wonderful little hotel, perfectly located.
Review 42:Fantastic location - a great pub with a lot of character. Very nice rooms, clean and comfortable.
Review 43:The location and beautiful village clean rooms
Review 44:Location was perfect. The room was very clean. Fair price for a night stop.
Review 45:On 3rd floor, up very steep stairs. Breakfast just bread & jam & coffee.
Review 46:Kaysersberg is very charming and so is this hotel.
