Review 1：The only downside was that it was not easy to find and on-street parking could be busy so sometimes a bit far when carrying luggage - but only minor niggles that did not put us off at all.

Review 2：Brilliant setting - lovely property with outdoor space and delightful, comfortable rooms. What a find ! Beautiful rooms, plenty of space, lovely breakfast - will be back there again for certain.

Review 5：Laboured under the misapprehension that there was a restaurant on the premises. (My fault not there's!). We arrived late and found that there isn't. However, proprietors were very helpful. Old Niort was definitely worth a walk in and there are loads of good restaurants to choose from.

Review 6：A very well maintained and artistically decorated guest house about 10 mins walk from the centre of old Niort. Our room was spacious and comfortable and looked over the Lovely garden and pool. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Would definitely use again.

Review 8：Beautiful decor, attention to detail in all aspects food and service. Owners could not have been more helpful. We had a gourmet French meal at the owners restaurant near by. Would certainly return to this hotel and recommend it highly.

Review 9：The hotel is as stylish as its owner. The colour scheme throughout the house was thoughtful and the themes of the rooms were fun and restful. Our room was at the back of the house overlooking the swimming pool. Given that we were in a city it was remarkably quiet. Look forward to a return visit.

Review 11：We stop in Niort in our way to Bretagne. We discovered this incredible place. We would have stayed there 4 more days. Incredible and classy house. Great room, nice pool and garden. The owners are extremely gentle. Great breakfast. Everything was perfect. I will definitely come back in the future.

Review 22：This is the second year we have stayed at Porte Rouge. It is just 5 minutes from the centre of Niort, which is lovely, and yet very peaceful and calm.

Review 23：Lovely themed rooms. Cosy atmosphere. A real surprise once you had entered the hotel which is really a family home, but you are made to feel very welcome. Highly recommended as a one night stopover.
