Hotel Slalom is located in the Alpine resort of Les Houches a 10-minute drive from the center of Chamonix. It offers rooms with private bathrooms, free parking and free Wi-Fi.

Review 1：The first thing I noticed was how new, clean and fresh the rooms were. The room was roomy and comfortable. The bath room was large and the fixtures were all new. I later learned that the proprietor had gutted the interior and completely rebuilt the inside. Breakfast was super. I highly recommend the Hotel Slalom.

Review 4：We stayed for a few days before and after walking 8 days of the GR5. Les Houches is much quieter than Chamonix but still close to all facilities using the free bus and train in the Chamonix valley. The Slalom is a very comfortable place to stay and the owner,Tracy, is very welcoming and helpful. Good buffet breakfast to set you up for the day.
Review 5：Street noise can be a little loud at times, but not a deal breaker. Only rated it lower for location because I thought I would be closer to Chaminox, but my poor planning.

Review 8：The warm and friendly welcome of all the staff. The room was spotless and nicely furnished and the view from the balcony was straight onto the mountainside.
Review 9：Yes Chamonix and surrounds are expensive, but even so we found this hotel expensive for what it delivered. No hairdryer in room. Also worth noting that buses to Chamonix finish in the evenings around 7ish, so dining options are limited to Les Houches, unless you have other means of transport.
Review 10：Good location right next to the Téléphérique de Bellevue allows for easy access for hiking, skiing etc. Clean and comfortable, good bus connections to Chamonix.

Review 17：Good location next to Bellevue lift and ten minute walk from centre of Les ahouches. Tracey and team made us very welcome. Our room was great, good bath and shower and lovely views from balcony. Wonderful breakfasts. Had a great holiday and looking forward to returning.

Review 19：We really enjoyed our stay at the Slalom. It has a wonderful location almost opposite the ski lift! It is also really close to the bus stop if you wish to ski any of the other areas. The breakfast was great, lovely baguettes and eggs and bacon. It was impressive that we could watch UK TV channels in our room and wifi speed was fine. The staff made the experience and in particular we were well looked after by the owner Tracey. We would definitely return, probably slightly earlier in the season. Les Houches is actually a really nice ski area, picturesque and with over 30 runs...
Review 20：Location of the property is great for people wanting to ski. Within walking distance to ski lifts and places to eat. The owner was extremely friendly and had a lot of helpful tips for guests (where to eat, what to see). Breakfast is available at the property for a very reasonable price. Great place for skiers and non-skiers. Bus stop located within walking distance to go to Chamonix. This is a great place to stay.

Review 22：It was in a great location to the slopes. I was able to snowboard right in front of the hotel. The buses were free and always available for the most part. It was only 15 mins on the bus to Chamonix. The hotel staff were very friendly and they made it feel like my home away from home. Breakfast was amazing! I would highly recommend this place!
Review 23：While Tracy was extremely kind and very friendly, some of the other staff were less so and I always felt I was intruding (even when I needed to pay the bill). Also, as a warning - American Express was not accepted as of July 2013.

The location was perfect as it was next to the ski lift and the bus stop. The atmosphere of the hotel was laid back, we had a great time for the week we stayed there.
