Reviews for Hotel Les Remparts
Review 1:There is no shower screen to stop water splashing onto bathroom floor - but this is very typical in France.
Review 2:Very comfort bed. Quiet room with nice view of the Vosges, but also a very short walk into the old town.
Review 3:Friendly multi lingual staff. Clean, comfortable spacious room with full bath. Free parking. Free wifi which worked well in the room. Located close to the centre of a pretty Alsace village that isn't as twee as some. Lovely vineyard walks and great views from the castle.
Review 4:On arrival no information on wifi and as we were in the annex no information that breakfast was in the main building Also it is in need of a revamp
Review 5:The location
Review 6:No shower (only bathtub) in the family room. No airco but luckily there was not a lot of noise outside so we could leave the windows open. Breakfast was good quality/quantity, but still we felt we could expect more and better for that price.
Review 7:Easy checkin and checkout. Close to the village centre. Friendly staff. Parking.
Review 8:NONE. This is the Best place in Alsace
Review 9:The best staffs ever. We are 4 adults and 1 small girl (2 yrs). They were so kind moving us to bigger apartment just to ensure our convenience.
Review 10:The towels were very grimy looking, and the first night they didn't smell fresh at all. There was difficulty with the wi-fi,(another guest was not very pleased about that too)
Review 11:The location was very good. Close to the lively town, and the views from our balcony were beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 12:Excellent location, we were in the annex and looked over the carpark (which we requested) short stroll into town with tourist shops and restaurants aplenty. Very quiet. Excellent location for exploring either Colmar or the mountains, which are stunning! Staff were fluent in several languages and very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was a bit sparse but very tasty, quality over quantity!
Review 13:A little older hotel with outdated rooms but still comfortable. Rooms are very small.
Review 14:Super nice staff and an overall pleasant stay. The location is great! I loved the balcony.
Review 15:no hotel restaurant. Everything in French and English only; why not German. Miss the European flag.
Review 16:We liked the three bed apartment, the quiet and the closeness to town.
Review 17:Excellent service, good parking available but the ability to have secure garage was big benefit for us. Nice quiet location, easy stroll into lovely town. Everything was well maintained.
Review 18:The receptionist we received didn't understand our questions. A bit confusing.
Review 19:location is easy to find, great place to park the car while you stay and see the city/sleep, great breakfast options, do speak some English.
Review 20:Room decor was vintage 1980 Holiday Inn, an overall lack of charm, lacking any sense of place. I did not think this was particularly good value.
Review 21:Convenient location, friendly staff
Review 22:Nothing
Review 23:A great place to stay very close to the centre of Kaysersberg. Excellent and friendly staff. Great supper recommendation. Couldn't fault it. A1
Review 24:We were so impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the proprietor and staff. The breakfast was wonderful - with a lot of local produce. The location is great; Kaysersberg and surroundings are lovely, and a good base for exploring the region, cities like Colmar and Strassburg. Very quiet, relaxing. We had a great time.
Review 25:Very unpersonal, no real bed for 3rd person despite reserved, No atmosphere, relative expensive for what you get (excl breakfast)
Review 26:Nearby center Kaysersberg, balcony
Review 27:Nothing; really good service, great location, good sized room, what's not to like?!
Review 28:Extremely impressed with staff, particularly the manager. We arrived very late having been in traffic (2am!) but the hotel left us a lovely welcoming note with details of our room etc. nothing was any problem and we were made to feel most welcome. We were really impressed with all our dealings with the hotel and found the staff to be most helpful and accommodating. Very comfortable room, clean, warm, and great location with added bonus of parking. It's a fantastic base for exploring the Alsace region but it is not a hotel where one wiles away the day within the bounds of the hotel. We have stayed in a huge range of hotels and I rarely have the time to write reviews but the whole positive experience of staying here made me determined that I would take the time to review this place. I would wholly recommend this great hotel and readily return - we know the Alsace region well as my sister-in-law is from nearby. We will definitely be staying here on our next visit, hopefully in room 41!
Review 29:Unfortunately the room was not really clean enough, it was smelling very strong and the blankets, etc were all outdated and not really clean. Maybe the hotel had good times but not anymore. Next time, I would definitely not stay here.
Review 30:Location is good, there is a parking place, our room had a balcony. Breakfast was also ok, they even serve to the room without additional cost.
Review 31:separate WC/bathroom arrangement inside the room was convenient as there were 3 of us sharing though perhaps needed a little renovation
Review 32:near the col bonhomme road, very quiet, comfortable and spacious room, walking distance to kaysersberg
Review 33:The lady organizing breakfests. Maybe she did not realised that I am paying customer and not a school kid, so that giving orders would not work with me.
Review 34:Location, comfortability.
Review 35:No screen in the shower
Review 36:Lovely breakfast Great location Free parking Friendly multi-lingual staff
Review 37:Nothing.

Review 54:Very helpful and serviceminded persons. German, French and Englishspeaking.
Review 55:There is nothing bad to report.
Review 56:Great location. Great rooms which were clean and comfortable. Good parking close to entrance. Good breakfast. The fact they don't have a restaurant is a plus because there are a number of excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk.
Review 57:Warm welcome, safe storage for bicycles. Within easy walking distance of a decent restaurant ( open on Sunday evening). Breakfast excellent ; good selection of meats and cheeses.
Review 58:Wifi did not work except in main lobby and my room was across the street in the annex. Lobby was locked, so had to stand outside for access.
Review 59:Location slightly out of the main and busiest part of town. Lovely walk into town.
Review 60:They didn't replace the Drinks we got out of the Minibar, it was not possible to Play pool because someone destroyed the sticks.
Review 61:Most of the rooms have a nice balcony, The Breakfast was very good, wonderful Location,
Review 62:Although the hotel is very close to the centre of Kaysersberg, it would be nice if there was a lounge/bar for guests. It would also be more helpful if the free Wi-fi was available after 9pm.
Review 63:We particuarly liked the proximity of the hotel to the town centre and the fact that it offers secure garage parking. All the staff were extremely friendly and we were grateful for the free upgrade to one of the best rooms in the hotel.
Review 64:The shower was in a bath and had no screen, so consequently, water went all over the floor. On the second day we decided to have a bath instead. A shower curtain would be very beneficial!
Review 65:Everything about our 2 day stay was great. Our room had a balcony with views of the beautiful valley. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful with recommendations for locations to eat etc. The village of Kaysersberg was very picturesque and we loved the patisseries and escpecially the traditional kugelhopf made in the town.
Review 66:Good location to visit the beautiful Alsace (the town itself is very nice), good quality/expense rate (free of charge car park), very friendly staff.
Review 67:Not much
Review 68:Great little hotel which is superbly run by two lovley women, a surprising little gem. For the price couldn't be beaten. Close proximity to the town centre of Kaysersberg. Safe, ample parking.
