Reviews for Au Spatial
Review 1:The room was very small but OK for one night. No lift but the 25 steps to our room were not too bad.
Review 2:Carol at Reception was very helpful and recommended a good restaurant for dinner, Brasserie Jules nearby. Breakfast was reasonably good.
Review 3:no bad experience
Review 4:very friendly staff helpful with information on activities in the city good parking place Good location near the Cathedral and restaurants
Review 5:Didn't like the fact that at midnight we could here all the goings on in the next room which went on for ages and then the children were up at silly o‘clock making a noise when you're trying to sleep
Review 6:OK for a budget hotel so long as you have quiet people in the next room
Review 7:When entering the room there was kind of old smell. Once you are in the room more than a minute, the smell is not gone, but it is not noticable anymore.
Review 8:Great Location, close to the train station, close to the cathedral, close to bike station, safe, friendly and helpful staff, no hassle, own bathroom, cute little balcony
Review 9:Well, I booked single room and I really hope doubles are better. I got more of corridor or narrow garage than a room. It was a bit wider than my bed. The room has a window 40 cm wide and 1 meter long, really dirty carpet and toilet. Cold, humid, with bed smell. The "room" was situated somewhere in the back of the building, basically near my car.
Review 10:Location is great, linen and bathroom were clean, there is parking.
Review 11:Very uncomfortable bed.
Review 12:We only needed a room for a night as we had to stay here to rest on a bike trip. It served its purpose and was very cheap so it was fine. Close to the centre of town.
Review 13:I really enjoyed my staying in Au Spatial Hotel. The location is perfect! Next to everything, the cathedral, train station, Museum Picardie, Jules Verne's maison.... And the hotel is cozy, the stuff is extremely friendly, and I was very well treated. I definitely will be back there soon, also Amiens now is forever in my heart, my favorite city in France.
Review 14:There was no door on the bathroom! Which was fine given that I was travelling alone, but would have been awkward if there were another guest.
Review 15:The staff was very accommodating. The room was very clean. The location was great and the WIFI worked on the first try. Good value for the money. If I go to Amiens again I'll definitely stay at Au Spatial.
Review 16:none.
Review 17:Excellent location. Walking distance to railway station.
Review 18:Ok, but not very appealing
Review 19:See above
Review 20:Nothing
Review 21:It was very basic. No lifts. No frills.
Review 22:It was a bed for the night after a long day traveling and sightseeing. Off road parking.
Review 23:Secure parking
Review 24:Temperamental WiFi; reception mostly unattended; no safety mat in tub.
Review 25:Good location near station and city center, quiet room
Review 26:A lot of street noise (Saturday night)
Review 27:The location - we could walk all through the historic center. Very friendly staff.
Review 28:Its proximity to the station. The friendliness and courteousness of the staff. I stay here every year.
Review 29:Car Parking
Review 30:It's location was perfect. Right next to the railway station. Breakfast was fantastic.
Review 31:Staff were very helpful, gave us directions to places of interest nearby. When trains when on strike the day we were leaving (very early) we returned to the hotel and they looked after our bags until the afternoon. Thumbs up.
Review 32:It is a guesthouse named hotel. Wide bed but hardly space to move about the room. Thin walls (take earplugs with you). A place just to take a shower and go to bed.
Review 33:Only the location, near railway station and cathedral.
Review 34:The water had a weird smell to it. TV remote didn't work. Wifi not very good.
Review 35:Nice to have the toilet in the room instead of shared, for the same price as many rooms with shared toilets.
Review 36:No lift. No bar. When I booked it was for a superior ensuite room. The last one?..I was given a small shoddy room which we changed and ended up with one of their newest rooms. Superior is not the word I would use.
Review 37:Parking..location
Review 38:The carpet in the room was really old and stained. I had to wear my slippers when I bathe because the shower stall looks really old and dirty.
Review 39:Secure parking is indeed a plus point but be careful if you are coming with a 9 seaters as the car before us got some scratches here and there while trying to get in. Location is fantastic, 5 mins walk to the cathedral and another 5 mins walk to the river with restaurants. We dined at La Bistouille and it's really good and fairly priced.
Review 40:Room - especially bathroom - not absolutely clean. Room and facilities quite old and tired.
Review 41:Good location. Secure off-road parking - reasonably priced.
Review 42:I did not like the fact that the reception could not wait for half an hour before grabbing the payment from the credit card in another currency, although we had had telephone conversation to confirm our arrival. I wanted to pay on arrival in euros and avoid costs. The room was smelly, with stained carpets and black shower that had never been cleaned properly from day 1. Towels were badly laundered but sheets were clean. We were told that we could stay till 12 but the cleaning lady let herself in without knocking before 11 and was rather insistent that I get moving. I was on the internet (fortunately) but she returned at 11.30. As my husband had returned she removed herself, We left at 11.35. I cannot believe the lack of privacy with staff just accessing the room without concern and being rude as well. WOULD NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND.
Review 43:The parking was excellent and the hotel was central..easy to get to. This is not the nice area of Amiens and I would stay near the Cathederal next time. Could leave the window open all night to get some fresh air and get rid of the dreadful smell.
Review 44:Our room had a shower and sink but no toilet, which was fine because there was one provided on our floor, however there was no light switch for the toilet so it was not convenient at night! There was also no air conditioning or fan in the room and it was very stuffy.
Review 45:The location was very good, right by the train station and high street and the area was safe. Room was clean, nicely decorated and the shower was modern. I felt safe going down to the lobby late at night to take a phonecall as the main door has a code lock and there were a few families with young children staying. Staff were friendly and housekeeping were excellent.
Review 46:fair
Review 47:very basic accommodation but thats all you need somewhere to sleep when exploring amiens and surrounding battlefields. No 5 star hotel but rooms are clean with toilet and shower. ALL YOU Need.
Review 48:Excellent location, close to the main shopping street, the Cathedral and the University of Jules Verne, some great restaurants and cafes at 10 minutes walk, the rooms are generally clean and the staff is friendly.
Review 49:The hotel is shabby, the walls are thin - one can easily hear what is going on in other rooms.
Review 50:The only good thing about this hotel it is its location - a 8-minute walk from the Cathedral and a 5-minute walk from the station. + Parking in the back yard (for 5 euros per day)
Review 51:Tiny rooms. Rooms smelt of cigarettes. Uncomfortable bed. They desperately need to spend some money on some new pillows. Had to resort to using rolled up pillows as a pillow. No shower in the room.
Review 52:Location is great. Close to Amiens Railway Station. Short stroll to shops and restaurants. Free Wi Fi in the rooms.
Review 53:Close to the railway station and the centre of Amiens. An excellent breakfast served.
