Reviews for Relais et Châteaux Le Chambard
Review 1:Bed was very low and two singles pushed together when a double had been requested.
Review 2:Very quiet room. Location in the village was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel was nicely refurnished and decor was quirky
Review 3:Access through multi-elevators Pushy and somewhat rude front desk - mostly one individual.
Review 4:Great little Alsation town with a picturesque setting. Maid service with evening slippers was very good. Showers.
Review 5:Did not care for the darkness of the hotel hallways or the labyrinth of up's and down's to get from hotel's entrance to your room. It was fun at first but got old fast!
Review 6:Location on edge of old city centre and the view from our room out the back of hotel into lovely (& quiet) courtyard with castle on hill in background! The hot tub was also a nice plus. Could easily walk all thru the old town.
Review 7:Rather expensive drinks after we arrived late evening.
Review 8:Location was excellent, in centre of village. Very quirky hotel furniture, other than that it was comfortable.
Review 9:There is nothing not to like, it was our favourite place out of the 5 we stayed at during our stay in the Alsace and somewhere we will return to.
Review 10:Excellent hotel, quirky boudoir style. 64 degrees restaurant was exceptional and worth the price. Spa treatments very professional. Pool & spa facilities good. Parking available. Staff charming.
Review 11:28 Euro per person for breakfast is more than having dinner at the bistro! Disappointed that the manager made us a dinner reservation and "forgot" about it, but he did get us a table later in the evening.
Review 12:Beautiful location, friendly staff, lots of amenities
Review 13:The furniture in the room was a bit old fashioned - did not really fit with the rest of the chic interior in the hotel. Maybe a free bottle of water in the room would be suitable in a hotel of this standard?
Review 14:We tried both restaurants and they were wonderful. The 2 star Michelin restaurant were an absolutly fantastic experience - Very elegant and sharp. The hotel in general are very nice and clean both inside and outside. Interesting deco and very nice pool/SPA area. Our room was large and a had a balcony with view of the vineyards.
Review 15:Fantastic hotel in nice region. Private parking, renovated rooms. Spa facilities are great asset in are where the weather can be treacherous. The biggest asset however is their 2 Michelin star restaurant!
Review 16:Chef Nasti's personal attention was really appreciated. The hotel is very well appointed, the staff extremely helpful, simply a wonderful and elegant stay.
Review 17:Regretably, the wifi connection was problematic on all devices throughout our stay. Other than that, the only real disappointments were that we booked when the Michelin starred restaurant was closed (Monday/Tuesday) and we happened to stay when there was a major storm which meant the shutters banged quite a lot during the night.
Review 18:We were instantly made to feel at home when we arrived and after booking in, were escorted up to our room, with brief stop off to show us the spa and other facilities. We discovered we were in a twin and requested reassignment to a double, which was completed within five minutes. The restoration of the old building is very tasteful and well executed. Secure parking was a plus.
Review 19:Nothing
Review 20:The room with a balcony and view over the vineyards. The excellent restaurant. The location in the heart of the charming town. Free parking.
Review 21:The breakfast was perhaps a touch overpriced, but that's a small complaint against an otherwise totally positive hotel experience.
Review 22:Well priced, great location, good facilities, good food.
Review 23:The shower did not drain in the room which made bathing almostimpossible without flooding the bathroom. Breakfast was a bit pricey at22 euros per person. The whirlpool and swimming pool where not warm andeveryone that came down left the spa area. No wifi in the room.
Review 24:Le Chambard is located right at the beginning of Kaysersberg so it veryeasy to find. The gentleman at the desk when we arrived in the eveningwas terrific. He reserved a table at another restaurant, gave us somecity highlights and directed us to the hotel parking lot.
Review 25:WiFi reception was poor in our room.
Review 26:Very individual and confident decor (although I could understand it not being to everyone's taste!). Food in the gastronomic restaurant was beautifully prepared and presented with a genuine respect for the ingredients. Some nice touches of theatre rounded the experience nicely. Pool and spa are well appointed - although the pool is somewhat small.
Review 27:Nothing.
Review 28:The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom very modern The furniture in the hotel was very bright with lots of sitting areas. Totally recommend.
Review 29:My husband was upset that the wifi was patchy. I did n t mind at all. The library was too dimly lit.
Review 30:The hotel was SO sophisticated without being at all snooty. We (regrettably) did not try the michelin star restaurant as we had eaten too much for lunch but the Winstrub attached was perfect. Memories of the forest mushroom special will stay with me for life! The spa was really relaxing and not at all full. Lovely aromatherapy throughout hotel. Free cake in reception anf free fruit as and herb tea in the spa.
Review 31:Breakfast overpriced.
Review 32:Distinctive decoration throughout hotel. Spacious comfortable modern room with balcony. Excellent staff. Excellent location in beautiful town.
Review 33:The service in the winstub was pretentious and very slow. While the food was excellent it could not overcome the negative atmosphere of the dining room, we would not dine there again.
Review 34:We received a great room with an amazing view. We also took advantage of the lovely spa and enjoyed our massage and facial as well as the amenities. The hotel is well located and the village is lovely. Hotel and spa staff are very professional, friendly and accommodating!
Review 35:All hotel information is in French and no other language - a bit disappointing for a 4* hotel.
Review 36:Generally friendly staff, fantastic restaurant, good facilities. Great location in the centre of the village.
Review 37:That we could not stay longer :-)
Review 38:Nice hotel. Nothing to complain about. Food in the weinstube was very good. Next time we want to try 2* restaurant. Was to difficult with a 5 mont old baby
Review 39:It was a pity that the Wifi did not work in the room. There is no TV Channels in English you would think this would possible.
Review 40:The hotel is beautiful, well placed in the town fantastic view of the vine yards. The meal in the 2* Michelin rest was great. There is also a nice pool and spa area. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom have a great shower system.
Review 41:The decoration which sometimes looks like it's more a swinger's club Breakfast is slightly overpriced and the breakfast room isn't very nice (basement)
Review 42:Room, large and clean The (excellent) wine in the mini-bar The bikes borrowed to wander through the vineyards The spa to recover from a day of biking The Winstub restaurant is a must Location is great, from there you can explore Riquewihr, Colmar. One of Alsace's best wine maker is literally next door. Complimentary cake, water etc... nice little touch Staff is helpful and friendly Would definitely go back there and would advise anybody to go there (at least a couple of nights to fully enjoy!)
Review 43:No English channels on TV.
Review 44:Everything! Lovely rooms. Very comfortable too. Great breakfast buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff. A gem in Kaysersberg!
Review 45:Everthing
Review 46:Great location, friendly staff.
Review 47:Etape hotel + restaurant topissime !!!!!
Review 48:Michelin star resturant is awesome
Review 49:Decoration of the hotel
Review 50:The view from the room toward vinyard and the tower.
Review 51:The hotel was tired for the price they charge. The restaurant was overpriced for the quality of the food. Some of the staff were less than helpful.
Review 52:Price that didn't include a breakfast.
Review 53:Position in centre of town. Room with a balcony and view. Spa facilities were great. Friendly staff.
Review 54:wi only worked in lobby very inconvenient
Review 55:modern facilities and picture perfect town
Review 56:Very nice location with view into the wineyards (maybe depending on the room) Nice restaurant (s).
Review 57:Great dining experience, friendly staff, nice design, great location right in the heart of town, private parking facility
Review 58:A little too much smoke from the fireplace.
Review 59:Everything
Review 60:The mauve carpet in reception
Review 61:The balcony in front of the room
Review 62:The Weinstube was awful. Terrible food.
Review 63:Good location, and beautiful facility. Good service.
Review 64:the food of both restaurants and the attentive service and quality of rooms looking toward the vines
Review 65:No effective WIFI in room and communal printer did not work.
Review 66:Location to their restaurant
Review 67:Value for money: for such a tremendous amount of money, leisure facilities are not sufficient for everybody to take advantage from at the same time.
Review 68:Everything: room, view, spa, comfort. This was exactly what we were looking for to spend a weekend as a married couple away from kids.
Review 69:Wifi was a bit rubbish, but this did not bother us really.
Review 70:Funky interiors. Lovely bedroom. Superb location, amid the vineyards. Very friendly staff. And excellent food!
Review 71:Very strange decor. Very slow service in the second restaurant, I suspect because most staff are committed to the Michelin Starred restaurant.
Review 72:Location. Kayserberg is an outstandingly attractive village. Food delicious. Friendly staff, eventually.
Review 73:No English movie channels!
Review 74:We fell in love with Kaysersberg and the Chambard made our stay very memorable. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was pricey but excellent quality and the food in both restaurants were amazing. One was a gourmet restaurant and the other served Alsatian cuisine. I believe it is the only hotel there with private parking. Will definitely go back to the Chambard.
Review 75:We did not try the breakfast service since 22 € pp is a definitely high price, independently of the quality (that we decided not to experience)
Review 76:Once arrived they offered us a free upgrade to a suite: Jacuzzi and large shower ensuite, it had a very nice view on Kayserberg's main street. Maybe the view from other rooms (with little balconies) is even better (Schlossberg vineyards and the Castle). The dinner at the gourmet restaurant, despite of its quite strange interior design, was really delightful. Private parking and a quite small but very relaxing SPA
Review 77:The fact that their were so many dogs at the hotel and in the restaurant for meals. I am an animal lover but do not want them with me on holiday.
Review 78:Very friendly atmosphere and very helpful staff.
Review 79:We felt that 25 Euros supplement for the dog was a bit steep.
Review 80:Comfortable room with lovely view. We could have our dog with us. The food in the Winstub was excellent, as was the service. The location was really good. secure parking was valuable.
Review 81:Food in the Bistro/Weinstube a bit disappointing and quiteexpensive. Didn't try the Gourmet restaurant.
Review 82:Wonderful luxury hotel with beautiful rooms. Lovely position withbalcony room overlooking vineyards. Quiet.
Review 83:Everything is perfect. This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and both experiences are really fantastic and memorable. Would definitely come again.
Review 84:there is nothing bad here, believe me!
Review 85:Kaysesberg in an Alsacian gem and this hotel is the cherry of the cake! The three gourmet restaurants of are absolutely GORGEOUS and worth the visit. Kind and very well prepared staff .Our room view were the vineyards...not bad at all!!
Review 86:We stayed 2nd time for this year, summar and X`mas season. Basically I love the atmosphere around this hotel, especially from the wind we can see the old ruined castle and the wine grape field. Most interesting thing is the restaurant. Each dishes are excellent and sometimes we feel good-surprised. And the variety of the Alsas wine could support any kind of foods and the taste itself amsing. I would like to come again.
Review 87:the cost of breakfast is just ridiculously over priced, find your breakfast at one of the maney shops located near the hotel.
Review 88:excellent staff, services and facilities. spacious room, centrally located and the hotel has it'S own parking lot.
Review 89:Restaurant food was fantastic, but quite pricey. And rebooking athotel required dinner reservation. Not sure if dinner reservation canbe cancelled, we sure hope, though. It's a bit off-putting to becompelled to spend too much for dinner everytime we have to stay inthis lovely hotel.
Review 90:Pleasantly surprised with the modern, clean, spacious room. It was ourfirst time in Kayserberg, and we loved it. The indoor pool and thewhirlpool were such a treat for our little boy. All these places LeChamber in our "going back to" list.
Review 91:The hotel was superbly located. Our room had a stunning view over thevineyards and mountains. We dined at the Bistro restaurant and had alovely meal.
Review 92:The cost of the breakfast is high but there are local bakers nearby asan alternative.
Review 93:Excellent location in the town but with free parking. Worth getting aroom with a balcony. Food is very good and they have two types ofrestaurant. Staff are exceptionally helpful and polite. Woulddefinitely return.
Review 94:Beautiful little hotel, with very friendly staff. We were going to arrive 30 minutes after closing time of reception and staff was willing to wait. Rooms are nice and clean and the location is perfect. Little balcony with great view. Love to go back for a few days.
Review 95:The breakfast cost € 20,50 per person. That is truly too much for the normal person. All other hotels had the breakfast included.

Review 98:The restaurants, the location, the helpful staff.
