Reviews for Fleur de Sel
Review 1:Noise in the room from the street and the other guests thru the night. Bad smell of the bedlinnen. Heating not working properly. No proper shower available. No reimbursement of money after checkout of the remaining nights that I cancelled.
Review 2:Everything was perfect.
Review 3:Staff was very helpful and helped us to find shop we wanted to visit. They even draw a map! The room already before check-in time. We were able to leave luggage to the storage after the checkout. Breakfast was very good, there was cheese, ham, yogurt etc. There was also computer and printer for customers at the lounge. There was also really good gourmet restaurants nearby!
Review 4:Nobody in the hotel until 1800 and had to sit in a pavement café. Thank goodness for a very kind person with a business next door who tried phoning on cell phone to the hotel but nobody would answer.
Review 5:Good dinner
Review 6:This time only the suite was available as the last room. The suite is very spacious, however, I don't need a second bathtub and would have preferred the cheaper standard room. Limited choice for breakfast.
Review 7:My preferred place to stay in Béthune.
Review 8:Not a great place to stay.We arrived at 5.55pm, with a young child (having travelled from the UK) and were told that we had to come back in 5 minutes time to check in. Then we discover that the spare / second bed has not been prepared / made up. Finally the staff dropped the bedding on the 2nd bed and expected us to make the bed. Will not be going back.
Review 9:Squeaky floorboards from the room upstairs, luckily they went to sleep when we did! Breakfast on Sunday was meant to be from 8.30am but no one appeared until after 9am!
Review 10:Excellent location right in the centre of town. We also had a lovely meal in their restaurant where the staff were very friendly
Review 11:There was some noise in the room above which meant I had broken sleep the first night. But I was used to it for he second night so was fine
Review 12:I had a wonderful stay here. Only one member of staff could speak English but they were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was good and I enjoyed my dinner in the restaurant. Great location a stones throw from the square.
Review 13:Lovely little hotel with restaurant underneath , they are trying to be boutique but failing ... Decor , It's all a bit naff , but comfy ... Pricey I think and restaurant prisey too
Review 14:We had chambre 1, and unfortunately every time someone in the room above us moved/walked we heard extremely loud creaking, loud enough to wake you up. It wasnt just creaking, more like sharp screeching noises so to start we didnt know what it was! It unfortunately meant we didnt have a very good nights sleep.
Review 15:The room was very cute (quite tiny!), but had everything we needed and extremely clean. Bathroom was clean and well equipped. The restaurant is absolutely delicious! Location is awesome, very close to the square so definitely a good pick.
Review 16:- we had to wait for about 10 minutes to get in because the owner doesn't live at the place. - the breakfast was good but could be better. - no free parking nearby.
Review 17:- big room (comfort formula) - sauna + Jacussi - very clean - friendly staff
Review 18:A slight criticism in that very little English spoken by the staff andmy French is poor
Review 19:First class service. Chef stayed and made us supper after we gotbacklate.
Review 20:rooms are very noisy, you can hear every step of the other guests. The room was situated street side, so I experienced a lot of traffic noise. unfortunately, the personnel does not speak English, so as a foreign guest, it sometimes is hard to communicate.
Review 21:The room was clean, and had everything what you need. Nothing more, nothing less. The restaurant was very nice, quality of the food was fine.
Review 22:Very nice and comfortable room with amazing bathroom with Jacuzzi and sauna. Good location in centre of town. Young lady on reception (who seemed to be learning the ropes) was particularly helpful and took time and trouble drawing us out directions to a war cemetery we were looking for.
Review 23:The staff were very helpful, good food, Jacuzzi and small sauna in bathroom.
Review 24:Friendliness of young staff and food quality in restaurant.
Review 25:The staff are very helpful, the rooms very comfortable and the cost was very reasonable.
Review 26:Breakfast not worth the money 9 euros each
Review 27:Location
Review 28:Nothing
Review 29:The two bedroom suite was great for our family of 4. It was clean, fresh and very comfortable.
Review 30:Insonorisation poor
Review 31:Food Location near a wonderful center place at night Nice Staff
Review 32:Beautiful large room and the house is very tastefully decorated. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast is very good too. It is only 5 minutes walk to the centre and we found parking no problem at all.
Review 33:Steep/shallow stairs to room Firm bed (personal preference) No wardrobe/clothes hanging area No towel rail/airer
Review 34:The location of the Hotel is ideal, just a short hop, skip and a jump from the main square, which is full of charm, beauty and character...not to mention cafe's, bars, restaurants and shops. There is parking right outside the Hotel (if available) and parking charges are apparently expensive in and around the square during the week. However as we arrived after 18:00 on the Saturday and weren't leaving til late Sunday, we didn't have to pay a penny....or cent to be exact! Oh and if you're thinking of checking in before 18:00, you wont be able to as there is no reception as such, the restaurant bar doubles as a reception desk during restaurant opening times only. The little elderly chap who greeted us tried his hardest to communicate, with his pigeon English and our embarrassingly little knowledge of French we got there in the end. So onto the room....we were a family of 3 so opted for the apartment that slept 4. This was located adjacent to the restaurant, via the little alleyway/courtyard type space. If you have small feet you'll be fine but anything larger will struggle with the shallow steps of the very steep stairway leading to the apartment door. However once we performed the sideways shuffle and entered the room, we were pleasantly surprised. A what looked like newly refurbished area greeted us, with fresh white walls and clean laminate flooring. This was the lounge/kitchenette/2nd bedroom area. Complete with dinning table & 4 chairs, wall TV, sink, drainer, 2 ring hob, extractor fan, fridge, coffee table and sofa-bed for two. This leads onto the main bedroom which is tastefully furbished although strangely lacks a wardrobe, or indeed anywhere to hang clothes...not great if you intend to stay for a few nights. When I say that the bed is firm, I imagine it to be slightly softer than the floor! Too firm for me so ended up sharing the sofa bed with my son. At the other end of the apartment is the bathroom.
Review 35:The place didn't open until 18.00, so there was nowhere to leave luggage.
Review 36:The food/restaurant was excellent. The location in the quaint town of Bethune was perfect.
Review 37:room small, cold.Shower leaked onto floor. Breakfast poor no croissants or fruit as advertised
