Hotel Las Leyendas descritpion
Hotel Las Leyendas sells fast on our site. Only a 4 minute walk from Ávila Cathedral, Hotel Las Leyendas is in the historic quarter. It is a charming and sympathetically converted manor house that dates back to the 16th century.
Full of character, Las Leyendas, is close to the city walls boasting wonderful views of these historic walls and the Gredos' mountain range.
The rooms are comfortable and contemporary, yet still retain much of the original charm of the building with exposed stone walls and wood beams and have views of the city walls, the Amblés valley or the private garden.

Reviews for Hotel Las Leyendas
Review 1:INTRO: My trip to Spain, early Jan 2016, consisted of 11 overnights and 5 cities: Madrid, Toeldo, Cuenca, Avilla and Segovia, all within 35 minutes to 2 hours radius of Madrid and all via either bus and/or train. All hostals/hotels were for a single room request ranging from the least amount of time, 1 day, in Cuenca, to the most, 4 days, in Madrid. All properties were in the 2 star range and had a minimum of booking.com rating of 8.0.
Review 2:The 4th city on my list is Avila; a different sort of environment with an interesting history. Hotel Las Leyendas, out of the 4 hotels so far, is the most expensive at 40€ per night for a single room. None of these rates will break the bank of course but it helps to know if the price is worth it and this hotel is worth it as it is a 3 star hotel with an elevator, phone, tv, restaurant serving buffet breakfast and other meals as well as a full bar serving till 11pm. It offers some wellness , is a well designed hotel interior with reception that speaks English and as with all properties, en suite bathroom, keys for coming in after reception hours but English is a hit and miss with other than reception personnel. What is surprising is how many sites there are to take in; over 60 in this small town with valleys and mountains in the distance and depending on the time you are there, snow can be seen on mountains in the distance. It is a bit colder here but there are tons of photo opportunities especially a 2.5km wall surrounding the old city which dates back to the 5th century BC and it looks more like Disneyland than Disneyland; really unique and beautiful and well kept. The town walls are stunning and this hotel is located in the Rastro area right next to a part of the wall and overlooking the valley floor below. Hard to find but worth it. The hotel is well kept although hard to tell from the outside. The city is a 2 day visit for sure as there are so many churches and pics to take of the city by day and by night. Toledo is also a day and night city pic opportunity. The walls go back 1,000 years. Ask about the Tuk Tuk tourist tour that costs 5€ and takes you around some of the sites especially to a location to take great shots of the walls. The 35 minute tour stops at some highlights and there is historical narration in a few languages as well. As usual, plenty of bars and restaurants to satisfy but also, prices in Spain are more than expected.
Review 3:Everything. This was the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. I will be going back with friends and family that visit from Chicago. I was very impressed by the staff, the cleanliness (most of all!l) and the location. Right in the heart of Avila, outside the walls. The restaurant is amazing as well. Thanks for the memory.
Review 4:Minor drawback - plastic seals at the shower were bit dirty.
Review 5:Hotel just behind the city walls, nice staff, large room (no 102), large bathroom with shower, nice room decoration, good wifi signal. We spent 2 nights there and both the hotel and bar upstairs were very good.
Review 6:The first woman at check in was not so helpful and directed us to a very expensive parking lot.
Review 7:Excellent location just outside the walls. Nice bar area upstairs with friendly staff. Helpful young woman at the check in desk who directed us to free parking and to the fact that we should quickly get going on our sightseeing as the sites would all be closed the next day, Monday!
Review 8:Perfectly adequate and reasonably priced small hotel right outside the medieval city walls. Some of the good-sized rooms have a view of the wall which you can access through the hotel's restaurant Bruja. Breakfast cost 5.50 €
Review 9:Reception open only 8.30am to 10.30pm. Not a great breakfast.
Review 10:Nicely located between 2 Arcos of Las Murallas. Easy access to restaurants, city center, public transport. Hospitable staffs.
Review 11:The location just next to the city walls was perfect and when the hotel restaurant is open you can use the lift rather than walk. Big comfy beds and lovely bathrooms. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 17:very nice facilities. Clean up to date rooms right next to the castle and fortified city. Close to everything no need for a car.
Review 18:The location and charm of the buildings. We had a room that overlooked the plain and mountains on the horizon. It was a pleasure to lie on the bed and look out the full length windows in the afternoon with the sun shining through, after walking around the old city.

Review 46:As the hotel is outside the medieval walls, you do have to walk to see the town...although you can almost touch the promenade in front of the walls from some of the rooms.
Review 47:Very hospitable - on arrival I asked for a quiet room and that's exactly what they gave me, although it was low season and the hotel was not busy. The room was simply furnished but had everything necessary. It's an excellent 3★ hotel.

Review 54:If driving, it can be tough to get through the winding streets. Parking was nearby but required we carry luggage a few hundred yards. Be prepared for some noise from wooden ceilings which amplify the sound of footsteps above.
