Reviews for Château de Môle

Review 1:Really charming chateau with own winery and cellar. Big luxury room, comfortable bed. The staff was kind and helpfull. They reccomended good restaurant nerby for dinner and made a reservation for us. Breakfas was good. Own parking.

Review 2:Our room (Petit Verdot) had the bedroom in the roof of the property which meant that when it rained overnight it was very noisy. Otherwise the room was quiet and we had no noise from the road. There were no restaurants within walking distance. The safe didn't work (although we didn't really feel it was necessary to use it).

Review 3:Our room was spacious and well equipped with a small sitting area as well as the bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic, a good selection of fruit, bread, pastry, yoghurt, cheese and meat. The location was convenient to visit Saint Emilion and the surrounding area. I would happily stay here again.

Review 4:Shower door was a bit broken No milk provided for tea/coffee Nowhere very close to eat for dinner - had to drive everywhere

Review 5:Room was lovely, big room & big bathroom Breakfast was lovely Hotel is a fantastic property Wine tasting close by

Review 6:An impressive and traditional chateau in a beautiful location. Very welcoming and attentive service. The breakfast was delicious and generous. The tour of the chateau and wine making information was great.

Review 7:Margaux Auger and Madame Auger were perfect hosts and settled us into the superb accommodation. They organized our evening meal from a local restaurant and, the breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. Other guests with us were of the same opinion.

Review 8:Nothing

Review 9:Our ground floor bedroom was large, comfortable and stylish and the ensuite bathroom was fabulous. The quality and design were 5 star. Breakfast served on the terrace was very good with an excellent choice - the owners and staff were friendly and helpful and our stay was one of the highlights of our holiday. Good location for exploring the vineyards adn visiting St Emilion.

Review 10:Got dive bombed by mozzies at 2.am after leaving the windows open for fresh air rather than air conditioning.

Review 11:Large comfortable room. Beautiful bathroom. Great countryside location. Hostess was nice but our French needs to improve as we had a couple of misunderstandings! Fantastic wine tour of the premises.

Review 12:Nothing.

Review 13:We just returned from spending 3 nights at the Chateau de Mole. The accommodations are beautiful, extremely clean and each room is very large. The bathrooms are luxurious. Everything looks exactly as the online photos show it to be and it far exceeded my expectations. It is perfect for staying in the St. Emilion or Bordeaux area and easy to use as a base for traveling. Everyone on staff was very friendly and accommodating and helped us with planning our days and making calls, reservations and printing train tickets. The breakfast is delicious and includes fresh pastry, bread, cheese, yogurt, fruit, meat & cheese. Everything about our stay was perfect and it's an exceptional value for the price. We would be delighted to stay there again. Don't forget to tour their own winery, cave and enjoy a tasting should you stay. Unlike a hotel, there is no staff at night. You are given keys to the front door and your room and they return in the morning for breakfast. They can be reached by phone should you need anything as the staff reside a few minutes away. Truly a 5 star experience at an affordable price.

Review 14:double bad had two mattresses ; one of them was pretty old and warn out. the hotel is at the confluence of two roads directly at the roadside. it is noisy

Review 15:One of our favourite places during six week's travelling! Beautiful room, huge and yummy breakfast, wonderful hostess and great location (though don't trust your GPS to take you there!). Must try their 2005 vintage.

Review 16:Superb location----but hard to find first time. Top facilities, spacious room; excellent breakfast. Will book again.

Review 17:Anne was a great host. The wine the chateau makes was also excellent.

Review 18:Promised wifi, never not worked!

Review 19:Nice breakfast, the sauna

Review 20:Doesn't serve dinner.

Review 21:The wine is very good.

Review 22:Everything

Review 23:Sincerity, comfort, value for money!

Review 24:Breakfast was excellent

Review 25:Lovely place in the countryside! The La Carmenere room was perfect for our grandparents who can't climb stairs, while we enjoyed the spa tub and sauna in the Merlot room. We scheduled a wine tour/tasting of the Chateau with our hostess. Also, loved the dinner recommendation at Le Clos Mirande, about a 10-minute drive from the Chateau!

Review 26:Need a car as 10 to 15min drive from main town. Staff spoke poor English and were unable to recommend activities and local restaurants.

Review 27:Gorgeous, spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Rooms on top floor had a spa and sauna.

Review 28:We liked everything: location near the Saint-Emilion vineyards, luxury apartments, owners' welcoming and hospitality, excellent vine, room facilities (sauna and Jacuzzi), short but very interesting winery visit. Highly recommended for staying in this area.

Review 29:Only small minus: there is a country road not far from the chateau. You might hear a couple of cars in the morning.

Review 30:We loved the atmosphere of this place. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. The Chateau is located in the middle of vineyards. The staff and the owners are extremely pleasant and helpful. They helped us schedule our tours in the different wineries including their own, right on the premises. Overall, it was a very relaxing trip.

Review 31:N/A

Review 32:My girlfriend and I spent two lovely nights here, it was fantastic. Friendly staff, excellent rooms, romantic setting... What more could you want

Review 33:Château de Môle is unfortunately located on a corner plot. From the road outside the bedroom windows, there is much trafficnoise from 5:00 AM. Consider ear plugs! We would have liked, it was possible to replace the towels every day. During that week it was very warm in the Bordeaux area, so a bath in the morning and evening was necessary. The bath is not worth much when the towels are already wet (No possibility to dry anywhere). My wife's towel was even clearly dirty due to her use of cosmetics, and yet was the towel just hung up again. It was not good service.

Review 34:Château de Môle is a lovely B&B Hotel 15 min. drive from Saint-Emilion. The room - La Carmenere - is huge, bathroom is large and spacious, and the surrounding area is wonderful. The breakfast is basic without any highlights.

Review 35:That we had to leave!

Review 36:Beautiful accommodation, staff and wine. We thought this was a real find. Lovely breakfast, fabulous big room and really good restaurants within a few km - just ask at the Chateau. Any tips given at the chateau are real gems! They really put a big emphasis on making sure you get the most from your stay in the region. We had our 10 month old son with us and the extra special treatment was really appricated. Final word, don't leave without a case of 2005 red!

Review 37:Great room and facilities. Elegant and beautiful design. Friendly and helpful staff, warm welcome by everyone at the Chateau. Nice location and sorroundings.

Review 38:Château de Môle was far beyond our expectations in so many ways. Thekindest staff ever, who provided us with the best tips for gastronomicrestaurants, city tours in the nearby villages and a very instructivetour of the Château's cellar. Thanks again, Maryline! Furthermore weloved our huge fabulous room, a perfect mix of design, comfort andcountry style. Great job, Mr. Auger! The location is also a plus, asit's only 8km away from the beautiful medieval town of St-Emilionand its timeless vineyards. We're certainly coming back.

Review 39:Suggest to add eggs and cold cuts to the breakfast menu.

Review 40:Rooms and bathrooms all new and big. Staff super friendly and helpful. Location is great - quiet and in the middle of the wine country. Excellent Value over all! A very special thanks to Maryline, the most helpful hostess in the world!

Review 41:It became quiet apparent to us from the very first moment that wewere dealing with an inexperienced & disinterested young lady..Considering we were the only 2 guests in the entire chateau there wasa general view of lack in service.. Our room was not cleaned at allthroughout our stay. We had to ask for toilet paper and fresh towels.Bed was not made up and neither was the bathroom.. Breakfast was verybasic. The morning we were leaving, we informed the young lady theday we arrived that we will be leaving the chateau by 6.30am, so weneeded breakfast "rather early" We were left a tray withsliced brioche butter, jams, & cheeses..However we were left nocuttlry.. She left us No Tea, she left us No Coffee, she left us noMILK..Very poorIt was pouring with rain we asked if there was a guest umbrella available. unfortunately no..and no effort was made to even look for one..it is these little inexpensive things that make a difference to the guest.. No local knowledge of wineries and restaurants considering they are "a stone throw away" from St. Emilion Grand Cru wine region. She offered us a book with telephone numbers for us to contact them direct. We asked where we can buy some local local Foie Gras, Her advice was to buy it from the supermarket!! As experienced travellers we often find that it is the little things that make the difference, and although the property presents well, the lack of service, is a major disappointment

Review 42:The building, presentation, room layout, and surroundings.

Review 43:Loved everything and wished we could have stayed longer.

Review 44:Luxurious. Clean. Beautiful. Spacious. Friendly.

Review 45:Being a "petit chateau" and wine producer

Review 46:Excellent personnal,location,wine.

Review 47:nothing specific.

Review 48:the service was courteous and friendly. the young girl was accommodating polite and knowledgeable about near by village st Emillion
