Reviews for Tourhotel du Golf
Review 1:We needed an overnight stopover near the tunnel for our crossing the next morning. We were looking for something convenient and this hotel is perfect. Our room was clean, functional and good value for money. We had a good night's sleep and will definitely visit again. Thank you!
Review 2:Felt that if you wern't early for breakfast, you wouldn't get a good choice.
Review 3:Really good for young children. Within walking distance of town. Actually very quiet and peacful.
Review 4:worn out residence. not very clean as other reviews suggested. very old bed covers and blankets had a unpleasant smell as if they had not been laundered for a very long time! disappointed as not cheap at €129 for room.
Review 5:Easy automated check in. located just off motorway easy for access to channel crossing. Has many room options, we took the largest as we wanted as much space as possible. Upstairs space for up to 4 people to sleep, + double a great option for family.
Review 6:RECEPTIONIST ON ARRIVAL WAS ONLY JUST POLITE IN MY OPINION. DIDNT SEE A LIFT WHICH COULD BE A PROBLEM FOR SOME. NO BUZZ OF FELLOW TRAVELLERS HAVING A BEER IN THE BAR AFTER A LONG DAY
Review 7:EVERYTHING CLEAN AND FUNCTIONAL BUT DATED SANITARYWARE AND FURNISHINGS GOOD SIZED ROOM & BED GOOD FOR DOGS FRENCH BREAKFAST GOOD
Review 8:Good location for overnight stop giving a few minutes walk to the centre. We wanted a good basic hotel which was clean and comfortable with no frills for 1 night. That is what we got.Our 2nd stay.
Review 9:small room with a not very pleasant bathroom and a shower curtain over the bath.
Review 10:plenty of car parking, close enough to walk to town and easy access to the motorway.
Review 11:No coffee making facilities in the room, although we did have our own coffee and they lent us a kettle. Bit of a trek into town.Breakfast didn't start until 8am at weekends and was a bit expensive and there didn't seem to be much choice. Could not find any air conditioning. No shower cubicle, just a shower attachment over the bath.
Review 12:Staff very helpful, lent us a kettle to make coffee and we were able to put our ice blocks in their freezer. Off road parking.
Review 13:On arrival we were pleased to be told that the children got breakfast for free. A different member of staff the following morning then charged us for breakfast for our eldest after she had eaten it claiming it was free for under 7's only. The velux window had clearly been left open in the attic bedroom and the carpet under the window was very damp. When I tried to raise this issue with the staff in the morning she just shrugged and said she didn't speak English.
Review 14:Clever layout of the room allowing a family to stay together.
Review 15:Unfortunately due to the heavy traffic in Dover we were late so I called the hotel to let them know. The lady on the other end of the phone spoke no English at all, we had chosen this hotel because it said the staff spoke english. Muddled through eventually and there was a machine outside the hotel to check in if you are later than 10pm Breakfast was very limited
Review 16:The room was good, beds were comfortable and shower was hot. There were enough towels for all of us and the black out black blinds were handy.
Review 17:It was fine, but the decor is a little basic, which you would expect for the price.
Review 18:Good location for the motorway and also walking distance from the main square with its restaurants and shops and also the bell tower. Large car park which is free. Room was OK and breakfast quite nice. Staff were helpful Overall good value Quiet room
Review 19:No lift.
Review 20:Handy for onward route through France. Fair price and comfortable. The town square is only a few hundred metres away and well placed for A26 motorway.
Review 21:Restaurant was advertised as open - but wasn't Staff not very welcoming. Suspect hotel struggles financially
Review 22:Good facilities but was v quiet so no ambiance.
Review 23:I didn't mind the check yourself in but it felt like a ghost hotel there wasn't a soul about a bit disconcerting when you have arrived to an area you know nothing about. No hairdryer.

Review 27:there were no hairdryers and no extraction fan in the bathroom.
Review 28:We found clean and comfortable rooms, with an excellent breakfast. the main road is close but the road noise did not disturb (it could be heard in the background). The staff were helpful when asked for directions. We were able to walk into the centre of Bethune to find shops and restaurants in about 15/20 mins. the hypermarket was also very convenient!

Review 30:The location and value for money were very good. Not seeing any members of was very strange but not a problem
Review 31:Seems very dog friendly, and I'm not that keen. However no sign or smell of dogs inside the hotel, so no real issue. Noisy corridor door at night when people came in. I have other hotels I'd prefer but this one is OK.
Review 32:Easy to find. It was available for the date I wanted, others were full It was quiet, once the noisy guests had gone to their own rooms, which was speedy. I appreciated the room fan/lamp, which was an unexpected bonus.Hotel rooms are often stuffy. It was a reasonable stay at a reasonable price.
Review 33:A bit dated and no kettle in the room. Apart from that, no complaints at all.
Review 34:It was great for us because we have 3 small children so plenty of room and beds. Car park was also very helpful.

Review 96:15 min walk to town, ample car parking , clean and comfortable room. Lots of hot water. Nice continental breakfast.
Review 97:Not a lot, really. The room was not enormous, but clean and comfortable.
Review 98:Whilst not a "posh" hotel, we found it exactly met our needs, and it is very good in value for money terms, including the breakfast which was better the some hotels charging more. It is well positioned, close to the golf course, and wew found an excellent restaurant less than ten minutes walk away.
