Reviews for Brit Hotel du Parc Niort

Review 1:We booked a room in the hotel and ended up in an annexe which was VERY basic. Bed very comfortable and linens spotless. Shower was TINY with no room to move around in it. The base of shower was also in need of a thorough cleaning. No tea/coffee making facilities in room and this is a pretty standard requirement in 2015!!

Review 2:Nicely located and close to restaurants.

Review 3:It was very hot, and there were no ceiling fans. The beds were not very comfortable.

Review 4:The staff was fantastic, and went out of their way to help us. THANK YOU!!!

Review 5:Could not sleep as the mattress was awful springs all over both of us very tired the next day.

Review 6:location was excellent and staff friendly. Easy access to restaurants on foot.

Review 7:We only had one night there and were just passing through but will definitely return to the brilliant hospitality of the people in the hotel.

Review 8:The Staff who managed the place made us feel completely at home and was a lovely relaxed environment to stay in, The hotel brought back memories of a bygone time and the breakfast was well worth eating a great place in a lovely town, Easily accessible to the social heart of the city . Just leave the car in the car park and walk to the lovely centre and enjoy a glass of wine.

Review 9:The old blanket

Review 10:Pleasant but basic bedroom, brilliant wifi, uncomfortable bed with an extra very old and matted blanket. Lovely kind lady on the front desk made up for everything.

Review 11:Walk up broken steps to front door stale smell as you walk in run down decor ,furniture ,took us to room in musty smelly annexe too tired to go else were .should not be on your list Ideal for contractors or such

Review 12:Nothing picked it for parking

Review 13:The breakfast was too basic and if you don't like sweet stuff, then you eat next to nothing. Wifi quality was average. Not ideal when you have lots of emails to answer before going to sleep.

Review 14:Cleanliness of hotel, free parking, comfortable room, quiet location, good value for money

Review 15:Any couples staying need to be very familiar with each other as toilet door in our bedroom was a rather flimsy concertina affair and almost unclosable when seated. A convenience that was a minor inconvenience!

Review 16:Friendly English speaking staff, off street parking, limited but good breakfast (extra), clean rooms and reasonable value for money. The room had all the facilities for an overnight stay on a budget.

Review 17:The room is very tight for 2 occupants, and in fact a second pillow & towel had to be fetched! The "bathroom" is a cubby hole separated from the bedroom by an archaic folding screen, offering virtually no privacy. The loo is a macerator and thunders whenever used, as do those in adjacent rooms! The breakfast was sparse, and poor value for money.

Review 18:the hotel is within walking distance of the town centre, though it is a fair distance, and there are others much nearer in the same price range. The hotel receptionist was helpful.

Review 19:Noise from next door woke us up. Only bath in the bathroom with shower to taps and no curtains. This was not a problem as we bath at home

Review 20:It was ok have been in better but would use again. It had shutters on windows that kept it nice and dark.

Review 21:quite tired building, breakfast a little expensive for what is provided shutters didn't work in our room

Review 22:Good location, good wifi, fine for a stopover - but wouldn't want to stay longer than a night

Review 23:breakfast didn't look good value, but didn't have it, so can't be sure

Review 24:Excellent value, and good room, proves you can run a hotel cheaply and efficiently

Review 25:Breakfast was basic French but OK Good nights sleep.

Review 26:Limited access to hotel - had to open at 5pm on a Saturday to let us in !

Review 27:Comfortable and good value

Review 28:Good position . Newly refurbished rooms. Good standards. Car parking included. Friendly team

Review 29:Secure parking. Friendly staff. Quiet room.

Review 30:Very easy to stroll into the restaurant / cultural area from here, with free car-parking included.

Review 31:Poor and dear breakfast.

Review 32:Good facilities, helpful staff, onsite parking, been offered triple room instead of double, good value for money.

Review 33:The first room that we were offered had a toilet in the bedroom cupboard?!? No evening meals available.

Review 34:Location

Review 35:Nice hotel, very central. Will visit again

Review 36:breakfast ok but not particularly good value and very small area for seating.

Review 37:town location availability of parking on site

Review 38:lovely little hotel.

Review 39:Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast. They allow pets.

Review 40:Used this hotel on a stop over. Excellent value.

Review 41:The two women who were present at breakfast showed very little interest in providing a good service

Review 42:Manager very pleasant and helpful

Review 43:It was close to the centre and easy to find, yet in a quiet location. It was good value for money.

Review 44:Being situated in an annexe next to a cemetry. Too basic for discerning travellers. Bed was soft and too narrow for a good nights sleep. No bedside cabinet just a tiny shelf just big enough to hold a water glass. No restuarant on site.

Review 45:The weather. Good Japanese restaurant down the road.

Review 46:You could hear other guests on your room The host was a very snotty lady who seemed to look down her nose at me. Breakfast was terrible The bed was so uncomfortable Shower water pressure

Review 47:The location The restaurants close by Parking for a big van

Review 48:Receptionist not very friendly..Really disappointed to be in a ground floor annexe room looking out onto a scruffy back yard and next to a family who were living there with noisy children and noisy smelly cats.

Review 49:The ambience of the hotel is dark especially at nite cause they turn off the lights even in the alley. Too bad, actually the hotel has a beatiful design.

Review 50:The room design was great

Review 51:Heating in the room didn't work (I believe it is centrally controlled). Only on towel per person, which wasn't changed as indicated every other day. In short 2 towels for 2 persons for 4 days. Room smelled of cigarette smoke and there was a unpleasant mouldy smell in the corridors and entrance to the hotel.

Review 52:Spacious room, separate bathroom and toilet. Not far from the city centre. Parking facilities.

Review 53:Accepted my dog with no extra charge. Modern basic room. Good continental breakfast with fresh juice and yogurts. Short walk from town centre. Free private parking. We have stayed in Niort before and, if we were to return, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Review 54:Nothing

Review 55:Good location, easy to find. Plenty of parking which is free and away from view of main road- ideal as we were on route to a campsite with lots of equipment in the car. Good value and clean functional rooms with wi-fi too. Everything you need for an overnight stop or two and excellent value for money

Review 56:nothing at all . It was as expected

Review 57:Great location just a short walk into the centre. free parking . good facilities. great coffee at breakfast . very clean. good value for money. Second stay and would stay again.

Review 58:Don't like separate toilets with no hand washing possible except by going into the main bathroom. Breakfast ok but very limited cereals and no cheese/ ham or other protein source.

Review 59:Close, easy walk to vibrant town centre. Good off street parking & space near covered area to load luggage in case of rain. Reception manned till 22.00 at least. Quiet room and roller shutters meant no disturbed sleep by early daylight. Nice to have choice of teapot if you wanted it at breakfast.

Review 60:Not enough room in the bathroom with little privacy with a sliding plastic door, room overlooked a huge graveyard and not enough staff on for breakfast for the amount of people that were there and not enough choice

Review 61:Price

Review 63:Booking website said check out was at 12 but staff seemed a bit annoyedwhen we were still packing at 11.

Review 64:Comfortable with own bathroom at great price

Review 65:Bathroom too small ! But very clean

Review 66:I thought the price overall was a little high, for a 2 ** hotel.

Review 67:In town, close parking, management/staff great!

Review 68:The staff were extremely helpful. The parking for our large motorcycle was superb. No complaints at all.

Review 69:Double bed was very small
