Reviews for Hotel Sercotel Cuatro Postes

Review 1:Not that easy to find, as the type of the street (avenida/calle/crt) on GPS and hotel description differs

Review 2:Perfect spot if you travel with the car, as there is a free parking next to the gas station available.

Review 3:A long walk into the city and uphill on the way back. Again, from the description thought it much closer.

Review 4:Nice room with great view of Avila's walls. Good spacious bathroom. This was a much more modern hotel than I had expected from the description. Good breakfast.

Review 5:The hotel is located outside the city centre in a panoramic place with an amazing wiev on the Old Town. The hotel is suggested if you have a car because you can place it in the free parking and then you can reach the Old Town by foot (it takes not more than 20 minutes to reach the Cathedral but the road is uphill). Our room was spacious, clean and absolutely quiet.

Review 6:Only issue was that the offered free wifi did not stretch to our room, so had to use in the public areas.

Review 7:The view from the room was superb. Very comfortable room. The hotel is approximately a 15-20 minute walk to the walled city. Parking is free, directly outside the hotel. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel was very easy to find

Review 8:The air con.did not appear to be working efficiently. The road noise prevented us from opening the window to cool the room. Our evening meal was very poor.

Review 9:Excellent view of the walled city from hotel. Very good breakfast with a wide selection of hot and cold food

Review 10:5 coach loads of tourists using it as a base to visit region took over hotel with little regard for other guests. Breakfast was in corner of bleak large room which was being cleared or prepare for next mass visit. Parking in front of hotel filled people not using hotel and miserable staff in cafeteria more interested in dealing with local trade than hotel guests - not really a 4 * experience!

Review 11:Modern well appointed room. Friendly reception who made us welcome and dealt with problems (Shower tray blocked). Great views of City walls and short 15 min walk into town on newly constructed path. Good food for breakfast but eat out rest of time in Avila.

Review 12:Restaurant was pricey for mediocre meal.

Review 13:Had a wonderful view of the Walls surrounding old Avila lit up at night. The staff was friendly, helpful. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.

Review 14:A bit too far away to walk into town, had to get a taxi. The breakfast was very poor for the money, the evening meal was very expensive would not recommend restaurant to other travellers.

Review 15:The location for easy acess to and from the main roads, the view over the walled town, the accomodation and staff.

Review 16:in the bedroom noteasmade no bidet poor breakfast no hot water for tea the bar we had to walk outside to it and was open to the public so it was rather rough would not stay there again

Review 17:It was the right distance from the castle walls and the other sights we wanted to visit, the view from our window was brilliant. The staff were helpfull and the hotel was modern and our room was perfect, would definately return.

Review 18:Very disappointing and would not recommend. Staff most unwelcoming and the food very poor and expensive. Main dish of lamb chops (chuletas cordera) consisted of 6 very lean chops and a handful of chipped potatos no vegetables no salad. All for 18.50 euros

Review 19:Thin walls Old-fashioned furniture TV (only 4 channels!) No Wi-Fi available in the rooms Poor breakfast

Review 20:Views of the city Big room Big parking place at the rear of the hotel

Review 21:On the outskirts of Avila, a world heritage site. Easy to get into the city either walking or taxi. Hotel is opposite a very large catholic university. Not an interesting hotel but good for touring the city.

Review 22:Luxury hotel with large, clean and modernly designed room and bathroom. Our room no.305 offers a breathtaking view of Avila and its medieval walls, even better than the view from the nearby public mirador of Cuatro Postes. Nice welcoming front desk staff who gave us useful advice for visits. Free parking in front of hotel which is outside the old town. All this for a very reasonable nightly rate, therefore an excellent value for money.

Review 23:Easy to get there and just 500m from the old town. Soundproof and great view!

Review 24:Having to go outside to cafe near adjacent Petrol Station

Review 25:Excellent rooms

Review 26:no black out curtains

Review 27:everything

Review 28:outside city wall, to far to walk so had to take the car

Review 29:Traveling by car, we were looking for a place just out of the old city and with free parking. This hotel was the perfect choice. The plus was the great view on the walls of Avila!

Review 30:Restaurant does not open until 9pm. Only other option is to go into City. Rather poor breakfast.

Review 31:Good location easy to find with ample parking. Easy access to City Centre 5 mins by car, 15 -20 walking.

Review 32:It is a pity that a hotel with such excellent facilities provides such a poor breakfast. The dining room food was okay but over priced.

Review 33:The location is excellent for tourists who are driving. The Hotel is easy to find and has ample parking. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are excellent and beds very comfortable. Easy walking into town in Autumn.

Review 34:Excellent value for money. Best location if you have a car. Some rooms have an amazing view in the city. Free parking in front of the hotel. Nice rooms. Very friendly restaurant next door "La Canaleja" and good hotel restaurant.

Review 35:Staff not the best. we were in the modern extension but Room + bed size not 4 star. Smelly toilet. Poor breakfast. No pool. No seating etc available on outside terraces. rending space un usable.

Review 36:Easy access from main roads. Within walking distance of town but hilly in places.

Review 37:Block-out blinds would have been good. The street lights lit up our room like day-light. Mattress was past its use-by date...the springs were very noisy and could be felt.

Review 38:Great location

Review 39:The rooms are nice, but the bar looks like the bar of a fuel station. Not surprisingly, because it serves also as bar of the fuel station nextdoor... This is not exactly what you expect in a 4 star hotel :) but itcertainly was funny.

Review 40:Modern rooms, nice view, friendly staff. Because our room smelled likethe sewage system, we got immediately another room without problems.

Review 41:Nothing.

Review 42:The views of the city walls are amazing from the room we had. Great free parking at front.

Review 43:No English or French TV

Review 44:Lovely location overlooking walled city with easy access and parking

Review 45:It was snowing when we arrived but I guess we can't blame the hotel for that!

Review 46:Very pleasant atmosphere, wonderful views of the walls.

Review 47:Nothing

Review 48:Good large clean quet room

Review 49:Amazing location overlooking the walled town. What a view. Easy to get to from main roads.

Review 52:Lovely Hotel, all very good

Review 53:Confortable

Review 54:staff can speak only Spanish, only one receptionist and a maid can speak nice French

Review 55:nice place, wide and bright rooms, perfect breakfast

Review 56:Location, easy parking, easy check-in, comfortable room.

Review 57:Fantastic views of Avila's ancient city walls.
