Reviews for Mas de l'Ancienne Magnanerie
Review 1:Owner lit garden waste fires on both evenings. Most unpleasant and unnecessary.Inside of gite was showing its age.Cupboard doors falling off.We would have like to walk from the location but the road was narrow and could be frightening when traffic passed.Mallemort is quite an uninspiring village.
Review 2:pleasant sitting out area
Review 3:Very warm welcome. Gite full of charm and everything one would need, even a cooling ventilator/fan in the hot Provence summer. Lovely shaded outside sitting area with pretty view over countryside to mountains. Self-catering, very relaxing, quiet, just perfect to rest and feel at home, after travelling around the area sightseeing all day.
Review 4:It is a very quiet, relaxing and beautiful place. Great for one day trips. Although the owner (kind and friendly) didn't speak English, we understood each other surprisingly well. It is lovely to sit on the patio in the evening.
Review 5:No air conditioning - heat wave conditions. A little difficulty finding the Mas, signage small, no English
Review 6:Our hosts were wonderful, no English but very friendly, beautiful garden, privacy excellent
Review 7:No wifi in my cottage.
Review 8:The setting and surrounding countryside. At the same time very close for sightseeing in Provence. Recommend a visit to Lourmarin on market day (friday).
Review 9:Internet access is not permanently available.
Review 10:Home from home that is; and it is located in a beautiful part of France. Places of interest are within easy reach, the kitchen contains virtually everything you need, both shade and sunshine are easily available, perfect for dogs, plenty of space in kitchen and bathroom. Most of all we liked the hospitality of Mrs Tobianah, who was extremely friendly and helpful.
Review 11:very good, a bargain.
Review 12:wifi catastrophe!!! didn't work at all. it's little hard to find- and no way to get there without a car.
Review 13:beautiful and perfectly equipped cottage in a lovely rural area. liked this place very much!!!!
Review 14:there was nothing to not like
Review 15:Everything! I really want to go back soon and spend a week not just a night. The cottage is beautiful and we were there in December, so I can imagine what it would be like to stay there in sunny weather, sitting on the patio. Great walks for the dogs. Peaceful and dark at night.
Review 16:Weak wifi. It could be a little cold when it's not summer.
Review 17:Kind and friendly staff. Quiet place. Spacious room. Exotic exrerience of the French rural area
Review 18:Wifi was painfully slow, taking hours to do things - not a problem if you don't need wifi. we did as we were travelling for 2 months, booking as we went. We found it hard to communicate as we don't speak very good french, and owners don't speak english - but we knew this before we went. Would have preferred not to pay by cash. Didn't seem to be much happening in mallemort - especially in the evening, can get a bit boring in the evening. Much preferred Grouxe Le Bain a smaller town about an hour away. Owners were a bit funny with payment wanting cash up front, must have had some dishonest people in the past, no big deal.
Review 19:space, laundry, quiet location. Great bed in the cheaper room. all the facilities to make your own meals if you are needing a short break from the rich french food. Well located to explore some of the provence region.
Review 20:The room was so big that the heating system was a little insufficient to heat the entire space.
Review 21:Kind staff. Very spacious room. Good price. Convenient kitchen.
Review 22:We had a hard time finding it. However, the family that was travellingwith us had no problem finding it because they emailed for very specialdirections the night before.
Review 23:The location on a small vineyard was perfect. The villa was veryspacious, well equiped, comfortable, very French, beautiful. We woulddefinitely stay again.
Review 24:Internet access was important to me but the wifi provided was inadequateand was switched off in the late evening.
Review 25:The house and its furnishings and its environment were wonderful
Review 26:There was no shower curtain which resulted in a rather wet floor on a number of occasions.
Review 27:Absolutely everything! The owners were so polite and friendly. The setting was stunning. The patio area was beautiful in the evenings knocking back a beer or two. The kitchen was well-equipped. The rest of the cottage was nicely decorated. Couldn't ask for any more.
Review 28:Lovely french farm house in the countryside near Mallemort. We had greataccess to places like St Remy which I adore and Avignon. I really wanteda place where I could let my four year old son roam free and not have toworry. This place was perfect. The cottage itself was very big andcomfortable. We slept so well. I really enjoyed cooking and us eatingoutside on the patio. Very charming and homey feel.
Review 29:Fantastic place to explore The Luberon region of Provance. Aix is a short drive away. Anna and Claudio are superb hosts and provided us with fresh flowers lettuce artichokes and other treats from their bountiful garden. This will for sure be our new base in France in the coming years!
Review 30:One of the best places we've ever stayed. If you are looking for calm and rural atmosphere this is the best choice. The owners are very friendly and hospitable people. Thanks for everything!
