Reviews for Le Gambrinus
Review 1:I found the price (75 euro/night) a bit too high for a guesthouse/pension located 10km away from Colmar. Checkin only after 17:00
Review 2:Very nice, vintage decorated house. Friendly staff.
Review 3:bed in our room was only 140cm wide, wifi works in the restaurant only.
Review 4:very good location in the centre of wineyards, house built in 15th century and well preserved, rich breakfast, nice taste flambé
Review 5:Beautiful old building, lots of character but modern bath and shower facilities set in a delightful Alsace village.Good breakfast, but note their restaurant is closed on Mondays!
Review 6:Parking spaces in front of property were all taken . Wifi working only in communal areas downstairs
Review 7:Great location , vintage looks but well maintained . Loved the bar/restaurant .
Review 8:More narrow winding stairs to the room. They could not accommodate usfor dinner, but the recommended alternative, l'Agneau Blanc, wasvery good for such a small village.
Review 9:We stepped back in time here in mostly German-speaking Alsace. A 16th-17th century tavern/restaurant/hotel right out of a black andwhite movie. Antique furnishings with lots of wood and stone. At leastthe bath was modern though smallish.
Review 10:Wifi signal was a bit weak
Review 11:Le Gambrinus is situated in a beautiful village in Alsace. It is a short drive from the picturesque village of Eguisheim, which is one of the most beautiful villages of France. The building dates to the 1600's and feels cozy and full of charm. The owners operate a very reasonably priced restaurant downstairs, featuring local dishes such ad tarte flambee.
Review 12:Individual comforters with duvet would have been much better bedding. Bed was very low to ground and uncomfortable. (U can put in a memory foam mattress - very easy as they come in a small box and then expand in the room. Great for places u can't carry a big bed up narrow stairs.)
Review 13:Beautiful suite. Lovely natural wood. Lovely balcony. Darling town. Very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Good dinner reccomendation!
Review 14:Loved staying here. Ancient old building full of character, on the Route des Vins. Beautiful room with everything we needed and such a comfortable peaceful sleep. And downstairs there's the bar restaurant where you can eat the local speciality tarte flambée.
Review 15:wifi didn't work in the room
Review 16:beautiful hotel in an ancient alsatian house, with a very good breakfast and position. I high recommand to everybody!
Review 17:Charming accommodations, on site parking, dinner at the restaurant, breakfast, friendly hosts.

Review 19:tartes flambées at the hotel's restaurant
Review 20:stylish, wonderful place
Review 21:The village is quiet, but this place so the hub for casual dining. Great atmosphere. And the suite was very comfortable.
Review 22:The Accommodation was clean and very olde world France. All in very good order. Quiet area which is what we wanted after long drive.
Review 23:it`s impossible to eat dinner in evening because some people not from hotel made reservation before us

Review 26:beautiful location, great staff, very good food
Review 27:Lovely village, near touristic attractions but calm and picturesque, very comfortable room, superb winstub.
Review 28:Great charming place with a lot of history, very old house with modern facilities.
Review 29:Monday night arrivals cannot eat on-site & we were unimpressed with local restaurants.
Review 30:A beautiful location with oodles of character. It provides appartments for either overnight or longer periods, with breakfast served in the bar/restaurant. Price was remarkable & outshines many hotels.
Review 31:No washine machine. Fortunately the staff in the restaurant were able to wash our clothes which was very nice.
Review 32:Had the 3 bedroom house. It was more than big enough. Great to have a car park. Wifi was excellent. Nespresso machine with capsules and a great continental breakfast. The tarte flambés in the restaurant were delightful and cheap.
Review 33:Parking difficult but the town is old and the streets are narrow. It wasn't built for cars!
Review 34:What an amazing 1500s building! Our room was clean and comfortable. The welcome was warm and breakfast in the "bar" was good. Owner recommended a great restaurant for Choucroute. We enjoyed our stay in this charming town!!
Review 35:Stairs could be a little tricky for elderly with suitcase. Garage quaint, but access somewhat awkward.
Review 36:Ambience, typical "old wooden" style of the area well represented. Good rooms, including kitchen, bathroom. Great shower!
Review 37:Parking a bit limited but who cares!
Review 38:Everything - a very special place in a beautiful village. Just off the tourist trail but close to Colmar and Riquewihr - both very special. Lovely room, full of character, beams, antique furniture, etc. Simple but generous breakfast served with a smile, and evenings in the "cavern" eating tarte flambée with great beer and wine. Just go!
Review 39:We had to leave!
Review 40:The whole place was idyllic. Real French style, beautifully andtastefully furnished, excellent food, both evening meal and breakfastand at reasonable price.
Review 41:Nothing!
Review 42:Le Gambrinus is such a nice place to stay because the room was enchanting, like stepping back in time.. Also very clean with a good mattress and modern bathroom. The ambience is great. We felt very much at home. The restaurant, located in the cellar, is very cosy and the landlord and lady are great. Breakfast was second to none with fresh bread and a good selection of cold meats, cheeses and jams, fruit juice, good coffee and a big selection of teas. It was just perfect :)
Review 43:Really interesting and romantic village. The hotel is old ( 16th century!) but very comfortable. Dinner with tarte flambee in a beer restaurant is a real adventure. Breakfast is more, than classic French ( cheese, muesli). Great value for money.
Review 44:Great location, food and drinks were perfect. The staff was extremely helpful and the room was more than enough room.
Review 45:bed was a bit old
