Reviews for Hôtel Particulier - La Chamoiserie
Review 1:Just modernised townhouse in good location to walk to the centre. Delightful receptionist Lovely room overlooking the road but well noise proofed
Review 2:The location was perfect for us, convenient and walking distance to city center. The staff all went out of their way for us, even serving us food after hours. They are all very friendly and helpful.
Review 3:This is a beautiful and stylish hotel. Whilst there we managed to lock ourselves out of our car. The owner immediately took charge and found a garage to come out to the hotel and "Break in" to the car without causing any damage and retrieve our keys. We waited in the beautiful lounge and were offered coffee whilst he organised all this. He could not have been more helpful and actually saved our holiday.
Review 4:Our hosts were very welcoming to their beautiful French home. We stayed in the garden cottage which was beautifully furnished & spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.
Review 5:Lovely small hotel with well decorated rooms in a beautiful old house. The staff spoke perfect English and were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for seeing Niort.
Review 6:The hotel is amazing, very stylish and welcoming. Our room was beautiful and although overlooked a busy road it was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was a wonderfully relaxed affair and offered a huge selection :)
Review 7:Nothing
Review 8:Lovely room - superbly comfortable bed, very good wet room Owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We requested a recommendation of a restaurant and the place recommended was superb.
Review 9:This hotel is excellently positioned for the centre of Niort, literally just five minutes wa look k away along the river. The owner and staff were charming, efficient and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the nreaskfast very good. Everything was as one would like and the hotel decor and furnishings were very stylish. Strongly recommended.
Review 10:Outstandingly pleasant welcome from family who have recently taken on this elegant hotel. It has many attractive features and artefacts. It is well placed for walking around the town. A small garden and safe parking are additional advantages.
Review 11:the breakfast coffee could have been better
Review 12:the owner drove me to the duty chemist to get medicine for my wife. he did so with charm and no drama. He then booked us a restaurant recommendation. We felt fabulously looked after .
Review 13:We Arrived here on route to San Sebastian about 10pm. We were given a very polite welcome indeed. Breakfast in the morning was the usual continental and was pleasant, and all the staff extremely polite. Would love a week here in the summer. Thank you for such a pleasant brief stay.
Review 14:Catherine and Fabrice were the perfect hosts who welcomed us and our two dogs happily. We stayed in the small garden room in a separate building in the grounds which was perfect! The whole place was decorated in style – and was comfortable, too. A perfect find for our trips through France down to Portugal. We will return
Review 15:We stayed at the Hotel Particulier on our way to and from the ferry in Caen (we live in SW France). The hotel owner's were very accommodating as we have 2 dogs and each time they gave us a room leading into the garden. The hotel is charming with an air of understated elegance. We'll definitely stay again on our way to Wales!
Review 16:We had stayed in the hotel in February 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed the return visit. Friendly staff to greet us when we arrived, enjoyed the setting sun in the garden with a glass of wine. Relaxed breakfast in the morning, meeting the friendly new owners.
Review 17:Immaculately presented and elegantly furnished, a really beautiful hotel

Review 30:The complete aspect.
Review 31:Wish we'd worked out the air con earlier!
Review 32:Lovely room with door to the garden which was perfect for us with our two dogs.
Review 33:Having to relog in to Wi-Fi every time you wanted to use it and having different passwords for compter, iphone and ipad. Good for security, but a bit tiresome over a 4 day stay.
Review 34:Level of service and location.Very good value for money
Review 35:The outside of the building needs cleaning and looks a bit shabby. When one arrives it would have been helpful if the bell on the front door had been labelled as such as we couldn't get in as door was locked and there is a code system. Parking limited.
Review 36:Very well decorated and comfortable especially the open sitting area. Staff friendly and helpful. Even though it is on a main road it is quiet. Garden delightful.
Review 37:The hotel is understaffed, so that I had to wait for 90 minutes for roomservice and was told to wait when I asked for a taxi. More importantly, the internet is barely enough for emails, but voip or video conferencingis out of the question.
Review 38:The hotel is clean and has a cozy atmosphere
Review 39:If you need to check in before 3pm it is best to let the hotel know , I arrived early, just wanted to leave my bags, but could not gain entry until 3pm .
Review 40:The Hotel was beautiful throughout and very comfortable.
Review 41:Behind a unpromising facade is a wonderfully elegant hotel. Old world with modern amenities. Comfortable and clean and although our room faced onto the main road there was no discernable noise at night. Good location. Decor is amazing. Staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. Buffet breakfast very good. The small rear walled garden is an oasis in the city.
Review 42:Access to car park was difficult - but it was very secure.
Review 43:Large room with excellent facilities. Spacious and quiet. Location was superb - a break halfway through France, with an interesting city to explore on foot as a break from driving. Staff welcoming and speak English.
Review 44:Staff a little abrupt. Evening meal fair, little choice. Expensive in comparison to similar hotels we have stayed at.
Review 45:clean comfortable good size room although it was an odd shape. The hotel had plenty of character.
Review 46:- Arriving: no stopping in front of entrance! Instead, do this: pass the Hotel (on your right), and turn 3 x right and 1x left, ring bell there, (for check-in and parking)- long walks to restaurants at main square
Review 47:- Well renovated historic building, generous room, chic bathroom, excellent shower.- Despite few guests (per season), generous breakfast. - Reserved parking on ground!
Review 48:We stopped here overnight on our drive to Spain. Unfortunately they do not serve any food on Sunday evenings, and after a long drive we would have loved to dine in.
Review 49:I absolutely loved this beautiful boutique hotel. Gorgeous setting with enclosed gardens, secure raking and out own mini garden for our dog. We have already booked to return in 2 weeks when we drive back to UK.
Review 50:Made to feel very welcome with excellent evening meal and breakfast. The decor and style is very original and tasteful with a modern traditional theme. An excellent experience all round.
