Reviews for Kanzel Suites Residences

Review 1:The bedroom upstairs can hear everything from the bedroom downstairs. Not much privacy.

Review 2:The location is very beautiful and quiet. We were two couples and booked a family room. The room was spacious with two floors and good view. Very good breakfast.

Review 3:Noisy drain from upper floors

Review 4:Magnificent location on the small hill with mountains view, surrounded by vineyards. Hosts are very friendly. Rooms are comfortable and renovated.

Review 5:We loved chilling by the pool, and had our suite with a kitchenette which was brilliant! The staff were fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious! :-)

Review 6:bit old fashioned; non/stylish decoration; place looks more up to date on pictures then on website

Review 7:Nice place, beautiful surroundimgs, space; friendly staff; Nice breakbeats

Review 8:Thought it was fantastic, could not have been better. The staff were all lovely the free chauffeur service was great, the views outstanding the breakfast great. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Review 9:The beds and dubets are very inadequate (this can really be a problem). Wifi is simply disastrous but you can live without that.

Review 10:Location. Breakfast. Apartment as such. Caroline the manager is lovely, and the restaurant transport service is super convenient,

Review 11:Little tired looking. WiFi didn't work most of the time and Television reception on all stations non-existent over our whole 2 day stay. I'm guessing due to overcast weather conditions.

Review 12:Spacious and self contained

Review 13:We didnt find a microwave oven in the kitchen.

Review 14:We took the 4-people suite. The location is great, very close to Riquewihr and Ribeauville,l. A beautiful view from the windows. Apartment is very spacious and inviting, very comfortable bathroom, equiped kitchen and big living room. Land lady is extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. A good value for the money. We didnt use the wifi so we cant say anything about it.

Review 15:Fireplace not lit during the cold December making the entrance and lounge unappealing to sit and relax.

Review 16:Personnel goes over the top to make sure all needs are met. Lovely, friendly transport to and from pre-reserved restaurants. Location ideally quiet yet 100% suitable for village tours. Wonderful, clean spacious, more of an apartment style, room. Will go back.

Review 17:Right destination for those who expect and appreciate comfort and space. Rooms are well equipped and decorated with taste. Dimensions of the room itself and the bathroom are impressive. Two "full size" cars parked next to each other can easily open doors. Guest-oriented property indeed.

Review 18:Leaving.

Review 19:The location. It is out of Riquewihr, but in Beblenheim, but there is easy access to restaurants by foot, by car or by the Hotels free (up to 5 kms) taxi. So you can enjoy the wines. The views are spectacular both along the Alsac Mountains to the West and over to Germany and the Black Forest. The facilities include an outdoor heated pool and lots of space.

Review 20:A bit expensive

Review 21:The apartment was big with two bedrooms kitchen with all the facilities and great view from the Terrace with Jacuzzi.Very good breakfast.

Review 22:The frienly and accommodating staff; the fresh bread and the variety at the breakfast buffet; the view from the breakfast lounge; the pool. Really beautigul setting and hotel.

Review 23:Only the area with the swimming pool - there is not much intimity. But the pool is heated!

Review 24:Very nice location between the vineyards with an incredible view. Close to historical city Riquewihr. Swimming pool and sauna is nice, parking inside. Breakfast was very good, wi-fi was ok.

Review 25:A small niggle was the lack of wifi in the rooms although it was available in the common areas and this did not detract from the stay.

Review 26:The owner was super; extremely friendly and helpful. The size of the suites is superb, with plenty of space to relax. Our rooms had lovely views over the surrounding countryside. We wish we had booked to stay longer.

Review 27:Facilities are tired and dated, worst of the 80's interior decorating which is such a shame as the location and courtyard ambiance is great. It is quite expensive given this.

Review 28:The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The breakfast was excellent; fresh, well cooked and brilliant selection. The way it is run saves this hotel from being a poor experience.

Review 29:Excellent kind staff, spacious rooms and excellent breakfast

Review 30:Wish we could stay longer!

Review 31:The huge room accommodation and the fantastic reception. Really feel welcome.

Review 32:Amazing staff, amazing rooms and views of the vineyards. Everyone was so helpful and breakfast was more than I expected.

Review 33:Location and views are breathing. Staff is wonderful. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic.

Review 34:Smelly toilet and tasteless decorations (cheap IKEA furniture) Lack of ambiance.

Review 35:Beautiful location

Review 36:Great breakfast, beautiful view, everything clean. Good location in Alsace region to do everything.

Review 37:Fabulous location right in the vineyards

Review 38:Pretty hot at night

Review 39:Spacious apartment with a lovely view in a great location, a nice pool, and good restaurants in the area.

Review 40:All the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 41:The hotel very romantic very nice i liket

Review 42:Nothing

Review 43:Staff very friendly. Nice location and nice room

Review 44:No Coffee / Tea in rooms. For the rate charged - it would be a appropriate to have some tea/coffee available......

Review 45:Location

Review 46:---

Review 47:To come again

Review 48:Location Breakfast Big rooms Balcony with a lovely view

Review 49:The hotel very nice & clean i liket

Review 50:Location and excelant staff

Review 51:No AC !

Review 52:The staff is geat , rooms are big, just perfect for us traveling in a classic Car,to have a garage. Caroline is super !

Review 53:Only one thing - the bed was really hard. If you are not used to sleeping on an extremely hard bed, it will probably be very uncomfortable for you.

Review 54:Location is great as all the cute villages and towns are in a 2-4 km distance. The hotel is beautifully situated surrounded by vineyards. Breakfast was very, very good, rooms were spacious. Caroline is a great host, very helpful and she will recommend great restaurants.

Review 55:Very minor things, but would have like free WiFi in the rooms, not just the lobby. Also, we would have liked a full-size queen bed, not two twins joined together

Review 56:Location was ideal for touring Colmar and neighboring Alsatian towns. Staff was friendly and helpful. (Please try the village restaurant the Agneau Blanc!) Breakfast was ample and provided a great sampling of the Alsatian specialties--even foie gras!

Review 57:Nothing to not like.

Review 58:The staff could not have been more genuinely friendly and helpful. Thelocation was peaceful with excellent views, yet close to the wine road, and access to other towns. The 3 days here were the best stop on ourtrip to France.

Review 59:Incredibly friendly and welcoming. You will feel like home. Excellent restaurant recommendations and a shuttle bus to get you to dinner and back every evening. We had a lovely time and would definitely come back.

Review 60:The hotel is in a beautiful position surrounded by vineyards and close to the villages along the wine route. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were lovely and the swimming pool and garden areas all well maintained and cared for.

Review 61:Nothing.

Review 62:What a find! Everything was perfect - we were very warmly welcomed, and as the hotel was not full, we were upgraded to a suite. The suite was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and had a wonderful view over the mountains and vineyards. We had kitchen facilities so that we could eat in sometimes, but also a good choice of restaurants locally. The staff were excellent, always friendly and helpful. Even though the weather was less than perfect during our stay, it was still a lovely relaxing place to be. We would definitely stay here again.

Review 63:There could be more information (brochures, maps) about the closest places worth of visiting (e.g. Kaysersberg, Colmar, Riquewihr etc.)

Review 64:Great location (in the middle of the vineyards, close to Kaysersberg, Colmar, Riquewihr etc.); spacious rooms, generous breakfast and friendly staff.

Review 65:The weather, but the cold outside temperature was widely compensated bythe warm inside environment

Review 66:Very nice welcome at the best place where to relax after a business trip

Review 67:The shower would only stay on with high pressure. A soft shower wasnot possible.

Review 68:Very nice setting overlooking vineyards. Excellent buffet breakfast withgreat view from the dining room. A small kitchenette in our studio roomthat contained all necessities.

Review 69:fantastic location, beautiful large suites with kitchen, living room, and super large bathrooms, yet the facilities of a hotel. the hotel doesn't have a restaurant but the hotel will recommend, book, and take you to a wide range of restaurants in the nearby villages.

Review 70:Too hot during night (no a/c), noise from road, surroundings not veryinteresting

Review 71:Excellent service, large bathroom, nice pool and balcony, goodbreakfast,

Review 72:We stayed for the third time at Kanzel residence and suites. And thistime again,we liked everything, the glass of crémant at our arrival, our suite ( we got an upgrade ! ) but especially the shuttle service tothe restaurants at night which gives you the opportunity to taste thegood Alsatian wines! And last but not least we liked the friendlinessof the staff!

Review 73:The exterior and the grounds and good sized pool and location were good. The interior decor and the finishing was dated and a little tired but adequate.

Review 74:On arrival we were upgraded to a suite. The staff was welcoming and throughout our stay exceeded our expectations. We were offered late checkout, driven to and from a 3 Michelin starred restaurant 20 mins each way from Kanzel. The restaurant recommendations were very good especially the local auberge bouc bleu which was a 5 minute walk. The breakfasts were very good. The views of small hamlets and villages dotted throughout the valley...the ambience and the setting among the vineyards was quiet and pristine. This bucolic location was great as a base to explore the many small villages and visiting the wineries

Review 75:The Kanzel is an amazing hotel, in a perfect vineyard setting with viewsto the Vosges. We were traveling as a six person group - grandparents, parents, and grandchildren. The accommodations were incredibly spacious, comfortable, clean, and elegant. The courtyard is just lovely forsipping wine or enjoying a leisurely breakfast. The pool and adjoiningfield offer nice recreational spaces for children. The staff wasgracious and friendly and spoke perfect English and German. Uponcheckout they handed us a complimentary bottle of cremant d'Alscace, having overheard that we were celebrating a birthday. We hope we canreturn some day!
