Reviews for Palacio de la Rambla
Review 1:We felt like royalty staying there as the hotel is like living in a palace. We had a suite with beautiful antique furniture. Breakfast was superb and staff very efficient and friendly.
Review 2:This hotel was a privilege to stay at. Its 16th century character has been maintained & furnished with fabulous antiques. Gorgeous central outdoor courtyard & many beautiful sitting rooms available to spend time in. It truly is a "Palacio". The staff were attentive & paid a lot of attention to detail. Location within walking distance of Ubeda old town.
Review 3:As this is an ancient building, you may not expect modern comfort.
Review 4:Authentic palace of marquis. Historic building. Location very near to the cultural centre.
Review 5:Not being able to park on site but public parking very close and discount given with note from hotel.
Review 6:Only stayed for 1 night and found the Staff very friendly and helpful, beautifully appointed rooms and excellent breakfast.
Review 7:WiFi didn't work for part of the visit but, to their credit, this was repaired as quickly as possible and other arrangements were made for the interim period.
Review 8:Extraordinary property furnished in antiques, comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms. Perfectly managed by Rosa who loves the :house", has real concern for your comfort, and treats you like royalty. Elegant and genuine experience of what it was like to live as an aristocrat in renaissance Ubeda.
Review 9:The Palacio is a beautiful sixteenth century building with a cool inner courtyard and a garden. Our room, one of only eight, was spacious with a high ceiling and period furniture. It was triple-glazed against the heat by double doors and shutters into the garden. The bathroom was also large - and included a screen for the toilet! The elegant shared lounge stretches along one side of the building, and is supplied with arts magazines, traditional board games, and family photographs. The management is discreet, friendly and very helpful. It feels like being a guest of the family - in a National Trust property. You can watch a video of the building and its history on YouTube.
Review 10:The on site parking in the old stables is a bit tricky, but the staff helped us in and out. Poor wifi. These are not modern sleek rooms but that's not why you are here.
Review 11:This may not be to everyone's liking, but it really gives you an idea of how this palace would have functioned in 1550. Fabulous enormous salon (lounge) with old furniture and paintings. Helpful staff, just one on duty at any one time. Great place from which to explore a World Heritage town. Old colonnaded courtyard.
Review 12:The building is full of interest and to be allowed to wander at will gives anyone staying there an unique opportunity to enjoy its history. The breakfast is exceptional and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
Review 13:While a very short walk to the centre of Ubeda old town i had thought it was more central.
Review 14:Very welcoming and helpful staff. Good breakfast with an excellent choice and friendly service. The whole building including the bedrooms is full of character.
Review 15:It was a privilege to be able to stay in such a beautiful historic family home. We had a huge room with a fabulous bathroom. An adjoining courtyard garden and a fantastic salon furnished with antiques, family photos and oil paintings. Lots of table games set to keep us entertained. Great location and delicious breakfast. "What's not to like we didn't want ""@to leave."
Review 16:stay was too short.
Review 17:It was like staying at a good friend's home. The staff goes out it's way to make you feel at home and accomodate your needs. Rooms are splendid and tastefull. Ubeda is really worthwhile seeing and staying at this hotel gives you an idea of how it was to live there. Breakfast is splendid and they know how to make tea!!! We are looking forward to coming back
Review 18:Nothing!!!
Review 19:A fantastic "palace" with an excellent staff who were very friendly and helpful. Our room was incredible, and we basically had a patio and sitting room to ourselves. Breakfast couldn't have been better, and the food in this lovely Spanish city was very special.
Review 20:This is a quite lovely example of a Spanish urban "palace'; a pretty inner courtyard, and pleasant small garden. The salon is to die for- beautifully furnished and comfortable. The place is full of the La Rambla family memorabilia. Our room was enormous, furnished by someone with extraordinarily good taste (and very very deep pockets). A very good breakfast is served in a small anteroom. The location couldn't be better - easy walking distance to all that's best in the town - which is really worth a visit
Review 21:It feels like an honour to have the chance to stay in this palace. The room was beautiful and stepping out into the tranquil garden a bonus. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great.
