Reviews for María de Molina

Review 1:The rooms all open up to a central courtyard and when the breakfast preparations started around 6:00 it got a bit loud with tables being moved and such.

Review 2:Located very central to Ubeda's tourist sights and some nice tapas bars. Free parking within 5 minutes walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were good, the fresh spanish tomato was very nice - so many hotels don't bother any more or put out canned.

Review 3:Poor Wi fi connection, none in the room and even in the lobby it was very poor.

Review 4:Beautiful building, comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the square.

Review 5:Poor to non existent WIFI on the second floor. Needs to be improved radically. The cost of breakfast.

Review 6:The location in the middle of the old town. Everything was walkable. Loved the fact practically no traffic also. Rooms were comfortable but not overly smart. Excellent mini-bar (which we didn't use).

Review 7:Splendid palazzo with inner courtyard. Excellent location next to city hall and cathedrals. We used underground public parking in the town center (17,50 €/night).

Review 8:Wifi free, but very weak, even in the lobby, just working from time to time.

Review 9:Central location, free parking within walking distance. Hotel with atmosphere.

Review 10:The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was okay if a little short on choice but acceptable value for the money charged (€6 per person).

Review 11:A very comfortable room with up-to-date en-suit facilities. The ambience of the hotel was very relaxing and was located in a very quiet square.

Review 12:Te hotel couln't be better located, in the heart of the old town, but this means very narrow streets and almost no place to park. In the evening we could stroll among medieval buildings and feel the time recede. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent and "El Seco" next door is one of the best in town. Both pretty reasonable.

Review 13:Finding it by car. The town is of two distinct types, old and modern. Hotel is in the historic section where parking literally does not exist and you have to leave your car about 200yds away. It is safe to do so in the marked parking area near the police station.

Review 14:Location and appearance, it is a bit different from most hotels from the moment you enter. Reservation staff exceedingly helpful. Just another Spanish delight!

Review 15:Hotel had bags of charm and was located on one of main squares, easy walking to sights and fantastic views across valley to mountains. Great restaurants and bars just yards away. All at a low price.

Review 16:Difficult to judge the hotel because the weather was so bad but it was warm and comfortable and the staff were friendly. It is very traditional ,in keeping with the surroundings but slick and stylish Iin is not !

Review 17:The wifi was very weak in my room on the 2nd floor. It worked fine downstairs.

Review 18:I loved the location of the hotel, overlooking a beautiful plaza with the ayuntamiento and very close to the famous Capilla. Free parking is a 5 minute walk away on the Calle de Redonda de Miradores. The ambiance of the building and breakfast are all great. The room was also warm enough despite it being January with horrible weather. The mattress in my bed was very comfy. I wish I had taken it with me in my car back home. The woman serving me coffee at breakfast was very friendly and helpful. By far the nicest person in the hotel.

Review 19:The hot water took a long time to get to the tap and wasn't very hot. The hotel wasn't very easy to find even with GPS and parking difficult. Best to use the underground park in the nearby square.

Review 20:Our room was very comfortable, additional blankets available but only one bolster pillow! From the hotel it is possible to walk all around the old town and remparts, some lovely restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The food in the hotel was average but breakfast was good. Good value for money in a tourist location

Review 21:Not a large hotel with a lot of noise and confusion. Very nice interior in old Spanish or Moorish style. Good restaurant. Good food. Liked everything. Would stay again.

Review 22:Room 103 the water was not hot enough for a bath; the tap was stuck between bath and shower so water went on the floor; smell of drains in the morning; bed linen barely wide enough to cover us.

Review 23:We have stayed at the hotel before and had a wonderful experience but this time, in room 103, we were very disappointed.Such a pity because the hotel is beautiful and the staff lovely, the room size generous and the hotel welcome pets. I hope the hotel invests in some refurbishment. I would be happy to pay more if the bathrooms were updated.

Review 24:Although the breakfast is included in the price, which is nice, it is not very good.

Review 25:The price was nice for a single room, and the facilities in the room were ok. It was clean and the staff was kind and helpful.

Review 26:It was being renovated and expanded, but that did not disturb us much except there were temporarily no public loos, only those in your own room. The plunge pool was up a separate stairs and not accessible by the lift.

Review 27:Staff, central location, air conditioning, big bath, built in shower, traditional furniture including matrimonial bed. Idiosyncratic, but varied breakfasts. Views form bedroom window of town hall square. Hotel's garage attendants help in parking our car.

Review 28:Staff at the reception did not speak Spanish. As the hotel is not in one of the most touristic areas and has less guests, breakfast was poor, mainly consisting of longer lasting bakery etc.

Review 29:Excellent location in historic centre. Nice old building with atrium, stylish furniture. Very small pool, but nice after a hot day.

Review 41:Unpleasant Smell from drain in bathroom.

Review 42:Real Spanish ambience.

Review 43:family atmosphere

Review 44:There was too much noise from the street, as well as from other guests.

Review 47:Location of room overlooking square.

Review 48:The plumbing - water ran hot and cold!

Review 57:This hotel is really comfortable, clean and right in the midst of all there is to see. Very friendly reception. Great nights sleep.

Review 58:Noise from other guests. No parking nearby (but free public parking 5mins walk, or paid for with hotel - someone picks up the car).

Review 59:Large room and bathroom. Central location. Wifi.

Review 60:Having to leave

Review 61:What a fantastic hotel, so beautiful, great location if wandering the old town is what you want to be doing, we were even lucky enough to have a room with a balcony overlooking the square. Room was huge with lovely furniture, I would recommend highly!

Review 62:Bathroom was poor and at one point smelly drains. Towels were old and need upgrading. Decor seem tired looking

Review 63:Friendly Staff in a great position in the middle of all the attractions. Great bars nearby

Review 64:The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially over parking the car. The hotel is very attractive, very good value for money and in a perfect location in the beautiful old part of the town. It was the first place I stayed where they did not charge extra for the dogs.

Review 65:Staff were helpful but overstretched (trying to do 2 jobs at once). Theshower did not work adequately (could not adjust it to an acceptabletemperature. It was either too hot or too cold). Forced to use bath.

Review 66:Handsome building in excellent location close to all places of interestin the city.

Review 67:Hard bed We had a room at the front and though large crowds in the square only a problem for one nite. No Internet during our visit and had been none for previous 3days.

Review 68:City centre location Nice size room Lots of nice restaurants to choose from in the area.

Review 69:The bedding in the double bed was impractical/pillows.

Review 70:Very helpful reception staff, beautiful setting and pleasant atmosphere, quiet and yet centre of old city, assistance wit secure parking available

Review 71:Restaurant was not open (though breakfast available) but we were out of season.

Review 72:wonderful location in zona monumental in Ubeda. A converted palace so very elegant. All essentials present: comfy, hot water, very clean etc. Amazing value for money.

Review 73:The hotel overlooks one of the central squares of this beautiful town, yet was quiet and peaceful. Our room was large, elegantly-furnished and comfortable with balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is dog-friendly.

Review 74:An adequate but unexciting breakfast.

Review 75:The helpful staff, the beautiful building, the comfortable rooms, thewonderful views. The fact that is is in the centre of the old city closeto all the things to see.

Review 76:The bed was a little firm but ok. You had to pay for parking but it was safe. It was fairly near the hotel and the gentleman parked it and returned it.

Review 77:Really well located small charming hotel overlooking a pretty square. Beautiful inner courtyard which would be lovely in the summer. Just around the corner from the Parador. It was nice and warm and the breakfast was good. Excellent value for money.
