Reviews for Las Atalayas

Review 1:Nothing, everything was perfect. Peace and quiet, very pet friendly, beautiful well kept buildings and grounds and a friendly, professional welcome.

Review 2:The owners and staff can not do enough for you to make your stay comfortable. We arrived very late at night - 1130 pm but we were welcomed by the owner and a very friendly, chatty receptionist who showed us to our bungalow and gave us lots of information.

Review 3:The only negative was that there appeared to be no other guests.

Review 4:Lovely rural location but very close to attractive small ancient town of Zafra. Communication difficult because we don't speak Spanish, but they were very friendly - and even gave us a bottle of wine for our dog (she let us drink it).

Review 5:The fact that the restaurant is closed permanently, if you have a car to go into the town then it's fine but being on motorbikes we didn't fancy eating in a restaurant in full bike gear! The owners did however make us a really nice cheese and ham toastie and provided us with copious amounts of the nicest olives I've ever had!

Review 6:This is a great hidden gem of a hotel, we visited as we were travelling down south so just stayed here as a stop over. The pool and grounds are beautiful and it's a lovely quiet spot. The couple that own the hotel are really nice and seemed to appreciate that I tried to speak Spanish to them. The breakfast provided was basic but very nice and the coffee is exceptional! Easy to find from the main road and lots of shaded free parking. The room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the pool and very much needed air con

Review 7:Excellent quiet location, friendly staff.

Review 8:Breakfast rather basic

Review 10:nothing

Review 11:Very nice self contained bungalow and excellent breakfast

Review 12:Leaving a great base for touring Extremadura!

Review 13:The staff who were most friendly and helpful.

Review 14:No food, and no restaurants nor food shops nearby.

Review 15:No eating facilities

Review 16:Every thing apart from no eating facilities

Review 17:Peacefulness

Review 18:Bed in Bungalow very comfortable but rather small for 2 adults that are used to a superking !! Standard double with sheets/blankets that only just fit the bed. Would prefer 2 singles or large double please. Will stay again though as clean and convenient.

Review 19:Our second visit for 1 night stop over. Easy to find, very peaceful and dog friendly.

Review 20:We stayed in a bungalow. A very minor criticism; the kitchen was not very well equipped and being English we would have appreciated a kettle and tea-pot!

Review 21:Good location, only 3 min drive from lovely town, and the bungalows are well sited, and apart from kitchen utensils very well equipped.

Review 22:Nothing really within walking distance to get anything to eat and restaurant on site not open. Otherwise, no complaints.

Review 23:Very good for a safe overnight stop. Got a flat tyre and the staff very helpful in getting us on our way again. Huge pool, closed in winter but looked great. Lots of parking close to bungalows. Would love to visit the area again in future for longer stay.

Review 24:We only stayed one night as we were passing through. I think I would have liked to have stayed a little longer.

Review 25:Because dogs are not allowed in the hotel we were given an apartment. Although this cost a little more it was very good value for the money and much better for our dog.

Review 26:Might possibly be a little difficult to locate.

Review 27:Hotel is in a superb and quiet situation with stunning views all around. While travelling south from the ferry in Bilbao towards Cadiz, we stayed for one night in one of their bungalows with our dog. This was ideal in giving our dog much more space and freedom than a hotel room. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Review 28:The hotel is very well located, gives you lots of privacy, food is good, swimming pool is superb, very nice break, a pity we had leave as we would love to have stayed few more days.

Review 29:I think we were the only guests.

Review 30:Grounds and building well cared for. Staff were friendly and helpful
