Reviews for Eze Hermitage Hôtel

Review 1:Nothing to report

Review 2:It is an intimate & cosy European hotel. The staff were fantastic, very friendly & helpful. The location was great for us since we took bus#82 from Nice and it dropped us at the door-step of the hotel. It is a good value for money.

Review 3:The hotel is perfectly located just between Monaco and Nice within 15 minutes ride to each vy a scenic mountain road. The Room is neatly decorated, very cosy and comfortable. The views are fascinating. The restauraunt at the horel is also very nice decorated, but unfortunatelly was closed for the season. There is a perfect mountain walk starting right next to the hotel.

Review 4:Not in the town, you better drive a car. The restaurant not open for dinner in low season.

Review 5:A nice design art hotel. The staff, room, breakfast all good. With free parking.

Review 6:The main restaurant in the village below - eze is surprising expensive€7 for a glass of wine - the Cafe de Paris in casino square charges €8.do visit eze but give the restaurant a miss. Nothing to do with thehotel but our comment

Review 7:Beautiful hotel 10km from Monte Carlo, set on hillside with distant seaviews, Parking, superb staff, instant forest park walks. So close toMonaco without the silly prices. We would stay again for sure

Review 8:A lift would be great for taking your bags up to your room.

Review 9:The Room was very comfotable, however just a little small with suit cases for two in the room. The view was fantastic as was the breakfast and the location. Excellent decor.

Review 10:No elevator (lift), complicated WIFI connection. Must have a car to get around.

Review 11:Close to Monaco and Eza Village. Great restaurant and very friendly staff.

Review 12:Beautiful place, but both Apple maps and google maps had the wrong location (even with coordinates). They took me about 3 km short in the 4500 block. Trust the 1900 address and just keep driving.

Review 13:Great location, nice room, bathroom, bed and pillows. The road has fantastic views of the ocean, but it's limited from the hotel.

Review 14:This is gorgeous artsy place. Beatiful Provence style decoration everywhere! Spacious terrace with great views. Don't miss there food. Restaurant is decorated with beautiful original paintings, very stylish in all details. But their food is the best!!! We were party of 4 and tried each other food. All of it was extreamly tasty and reasonably priced!!!

Review 15:The hotel is not located at the centre of the city and you need a car to move to the city (3 minutes by car).

Review 16:I loved that the hotel has a good facility and that bedroom and all common areas have great luminosity and are very clean and organised. The staff is very keen to help every time with any request and they are very polite. They have a very nice external area as well. The city of Eze is absolutely marvellous and the hotel has a great view of it.

Review 17:This hotel is not within walking distance of anywhere. For both nights of our stay they had booked out the whole of the restaurant to large groups, preventing us from eating in the hotel. We had to take very expensive taxi rides to other restaurants. When I raised the issue with the staff they were not really interested. Take my advice, stay elsewhere.

Review 18:All The Staff and Madame are lovely, warm hearted and very genuine and welcoming. We had lovely room with big bath #21 All fine, clean, fresh and nice bed linens. The kitchen did not convince us but for a private chef dining out is like a doctor going to hospital. In all and overall a Perfect hotel to come for a Night or staying longer and discover The Area. Great Location. We would come anytime again and hope we will be soon back. Thanks to all of them

Review 19:The location of the hotel is on an hill, great views, the restaurant for breakfast and dinner is very nice, the wifi is free, parking is free, very clean hotel and quite, best location for Monte Carlo and Nice, if you have a car!

Review 20:A luxerious yet cozy boutique hotel on top of the beautiful town of Èzè. My wife and I stopped by here on our honeymoon and it was just the right place for that! :)

Review 21:Location is good only for travellers with car

Review 22:Charming old house fully renovated; comfortable rooms with excellent bathrooms. Food in the restaurant is also very good. Super-welcoming and friendly staff, easily speak English. Very good wi-fi even enough for online series. 5 min by car to the Eze village and 20 to Cap Ferrat . Quite and relaxing place near big park.

Review 23:Location is a drive away from Eze and unless you like walking/hiking you need to drive. Restaurant served very good food, but is pricey. Not a lot of alternative unless you drive into Eze (where parking is very limited).

Review 24:Newly renovated/built hotel with good attention to detail. Decor very modern and tasteful. Plenty of free parking, very friendly and helpful staff throughout. Large pool, outside dining and good quality restauRnt on site.

Review 25:Location is amazing, great views throughout. Garden was lovely and swimming pool was perfect. Family friendly as well with a kids section, great for families as well as couples. Food is amazing and I recommend the tuna. Breakfast was lovely too with a nice range of foods. Couldn't fault this hotel, it's a definite must stay.

Review 26:The hotel was an absolute gem! Beautifully furnished, delightful ambience, exceptionally good food and fabulous facilities including pool, outdoor lounge area, interesting childrens play area including wooden house, swings and trampoline and also a little marquee full of toys outside in the garden. Breakfast was so delicious and the staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating - we will definitely return and I've already recommended the hotel to various friends. Fantastic!

Review 27:The hotel accepts dogs and they were often left unattended in rooms howling! One night until 12.15 am. The staff expected me to complain to the owners rather than respecting not only my wishes but that of another couple. The needs of the owners and the dogs seemed to have been more important.

Review 28:The decoration of the hotel and the brand new bedrooms and bathrooms. Our room was quite small but well appointed and very clean.

Review 29:Everything was a lot smaller than I had expected leaving little space for every guest around the pool. Also it is a 30 minute walk into Eze village so you aren't in the thick of things.

Review 30:The restaurant and bar was lovely and the staff were friendly and always helpful.

Review 31:Breakfast terrible. Stayed on Aug 1st - failed to warn us of the trance/raggae concert taking place right in front of hotel. Didn't sleep till 2:30am. Staff utterly impolite about the whole thing.

Review 32:Room decor

Review 33:Bit pricey but that's normal for the south of France.

Review 34:Near the beautiful town of Eze, which is a must see!! Nice pool and lounge area, very nice hotel all around.

Review 35:I was a bit for out of the way. Room was a bit small but very nice. Food was good but expensive

Review 36:Beautiful facility and the cold AC was especially nice given the heat wave while we were there. The staff was quite helpful.

Review 37:The menu needs a little more variation. We stayed three days and tried it all. It would help if the lunch menu and dinner menu weren't just a duplicate.

Review 38:Location and staff attention to detail was really good. Should be a four star.

Review 39:Small rooms, but bigger rooms will cost much more in such locations, so this is not a disadvantage

Review 40:Excellent location -5 minutes from Eze, 15 from Monaco. New hotel, fantastic view, nice pool. Did not want to leave.

Review 41:We loved everything about this hotel. Absolutely stunning indoors and out. Each room was individual with friendly, helpful staff. The a la carte meal at night was delicious. I would not hesitate to return.

Review 42:The evening meal service was slow. I had some fabulous lamb but other than that the food was overpriced and not as special as it made out.

Review 43:The decoration was beautiful, the views are stunning, air con a miracle when it's 36 degrees!! Swimming pool a bonus. I would stay again.

Review 44:Not for the simple people, really expensive area of france and for slightly special people .

Review 45:The location of the hotel, the surroundings and the decorations of the room was just magnificent.

Review 46:The rooms are a bit small.

Review 47:The hotel is nice and quiet with an outdoor swimming pool. The staff was very helpful. Dinner was great. Would definitely go back there.

Review 48:Google Maps gave us the wrong location on the road so it was hard to find!

Review 49:Great for families with a pool and playground for the children in a pretty outdoor setting. Rooms were lovely and modern and beds were very comfortable.

Review 50:Expensive meal in the restaurant wasn't very nice.

Review 51:Hotel gardens were beautiful, wonderful sunbeds around lovely pool. Great parking. The rooms were lovely too.

Review 52:We were travelling by motorbike and so had quite a lot of kit and our room was a little on the small side to say the least, but as we were only staying one night it was not a major problem.

Review 53:Very nice hotel and the staff were most welcoming. Good location a little way from Eze village so quite peaceful, although the main road does run just in front of the hotel, our room was at the back so we didn't notice any noise. Restaurant was very good and so was breakfast.

Review 54:The room was small and the bed was very hard. Our air conditioning didn't work so our room was uncomfortably hot. Although there is a bus stop outside the hotel, it is a long way to walk to the village for an evening meal.

Review 55:The hotel was very clean and The decor was lovely.

Review 56:Important to note that this hotel is up a mountain road 10 minutes or so from the village. After a very long day's drive it was frustrating to find that for some unknown reason, they don't display a sign with the name. We passed it without realising and were at risk of heading back towards Nice. We turned around and retraced the route and found it on the second attempt. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she said oh yes that happens to a lot of people. (I suggest they should put up a sign for goodness sake!). However it was cramped with little floor space and no room for luggage. I appreciate it is the Cote D'Azure an expensive area but this was overpriced for what it offered and was not good value.

Review 57:The view to the mountains from our balcony was lovely. The room we were in was part of a new build and the furnishings were good quality.

Review 58:Don't rely on public transport. We were there Monaco gp weekend andthe first bus left after the beginning of the race schedual started, sowe had to get a taxi, very expensive, It was noisy in the hallwaysoutside our room as people were coming home late from gp parties. Wi ficonnection was awkward to use. No simple code. We couldn't get thewi fi for the 3 days we were there.

Review 59:A lovely hotel in the quiet hills of Eze. Great food and wine, mediumprices for a hotel. Recently refurbished, very clean and bright. Countrystyle surroundings with areas to sit and read or relax by the pool or incomfortable lounges indoors. You must have a car.

Review 60:We loved everything about this hotel. It has been newly renovated, and we were in one of the newest rooms, on the 2nd floor, at the front. Despite overlooking the road, our room was very quiet. We also had a balcony, with table and chairs. The decor in our room and in all the public areas was beautiful - tasteful and with character. The staff were all very pleasant, efficient and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Review 61:Hotel is quaint and so charming. Staff was wonderful. I recommend having dinner in the restaurant, it was absolutely delicious. We had a room with great deck looking out toward the sea. I would stay here again.

Review 62:Wi-fi very poor on second floor. Breakfast could be improved (more jams, add biscuits, etc.).

Review 63:Staff very friendly and helpful, beautiful surrounding, rooms are clean and tidy.

Review 64:It is not in Eze Village, but in the middle of nowhere and without a car very difficult to get anywhere without taking a taxi. No lounge or bar area in which to sit.

Review 65:Charming hotel, pleasant staff, comfortable beds, good food.

Review 66:The hotel isn't as close to Eze as we thought. Our fault for not doing our homework. It's isolated so if you are not driving just beware the bus service stops early and it's a long walk to Eze. Even worse coming back as all up hill. Also there is only one 83 bus from the station per hour but there is a longer gap around lunchtime. Nice little cafe across the road if you have to wait. Takes around 20 mins to Eze and a further 5mins to the Hotel.

Review 67:Fantastic food in the restaurant (Michelin star quality). The scenery in the nature reserve literally 2 mins walk away - take time to explore. Eze itself is fabulous especially the views from the garden at the top of the village.

Review 68:A nice small & friendly hotel within a short drive to Monaco / Monte Carlo. Plenty of off-road private parking. Small but adequate pool, charming gardens where breakfast & dinner would be served, weather permitting. The small town of Eze was a few minutes drive away and offered a variety of bars / restaurants and wonderful views overlooking the coast line.

Review 69:The room was too small and u could hear at 5 am people from other rooms.

Review 70:The Mediterranean style, the staff was friendly, breakfast delicious and they have Michelin stared restaurant, private parking for free.

Review 71:We have stayed several times. Excellent for exploring that part of the coast. Furnishing of rooms might not suit everyone as antique furniture is used. Excellent restaurant with beautifully cooked food and well priced.

Review 72:The room was rather small and kind of cramped. The hotel is pretty far from the town of Eze so you need to drive there - takes about 10 minutes (or hike for apparently almost an hour on the trail).

Review 73:Eze is a gorgeous old town that is a must-see. The hotel is perched up in the hills at about 600 m above sea level, which is interesting when you can still look down at the sea (from the road, you can't really see it from the hotel). Breakfast out on the terrace with palm trees was really nice.

Review 74:Our room was above the kitchen, so we got kitchen odor and noise from the fume hood, during kitchen opening times. There was also some (not too loud) humming noise during night. The breakfast was poor for the price. The wifi was often overloaded and, hence, slow.

Review 75:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is good if one does not need to be close to a beach. It is a great location for running as a natural reserve is just around the corner. The front rooms are to the street and may be a bit noisy, but we stayed in a back room and had no street noise.

Review 76:Breakfast needs more pastries and cereals. The location is very high up quite away from eze village

Review 77:Fantastic hotel, welcoming friendly staff, evening meals were wonderful. Quiet and relaxing.

Review 78:Everyone was so very kind! Maxim always went out of his way to give exceptional customer service.

Review 79:Wonderful quiet location, adjacent to a fantastic nature reserve yet so close to both Nice and Monte Carlo

Review 80:great location, very helpful staff, free parking

Review 81:Shower was really small

Review 82:Very nice hotel and breakfast

Review 83:Could not fault this hotel

Review 84:Excellent location beautiful room with friendly staff. Will go back and stay longer next time

Review 85:Beautiful location with a view of the Med and Mountains. Property was lovely and the staff were attentive and kind.

Review 86:Everything the decor the food the area

Review 87:only 10 mins free wifi small room very overpriced breakfast, got the same elsewhere for half the price

Review 104:Very nice and cozy. Warm and friendly environment.

Review 105:Evening meal and wine a bit overpriced

Review 106:staff, breakfast, inside and outside areas....fantastic hotel...and staff!

Review 107:Bright airy room

Review 108:Our room 6 was a little noisy the hotel being next to the road.

Review 109:Very pet friendly, good position for walking our dog

Review 110:The food was bland and expensive for what you paid You needed transport and near to Eza but walking no chance

Review 111:The Hotel was clean

Review 112:Room is a little small, especially for 3 people

Review 113:Nice area and surrounding, good wifi

Review 114:Nice outside dining for breakfast. We had large downstairs room. Close to town.

Review 115:Perfect for what I wanted but might be a little isolated for some people.

Review 116:Lovely building, in a good location, with friendly & helpful staff.

Review 117:Friendly and helpful staff. Nice, clean & comfortable bedroom. Beautiful garden, lounge, pool and vistas. Great stay!

Review 118:Beautiful location and very well maintained property with pleasant and friendly staff

Review 119:Couldn't find it using link on Booking.com Was only there one night and there were no major issues

Review 120:Location, décor, view

Review 121:The bar menu was a bit poor for the style of Hotel.

Review 122:The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were good and the location was beautiful.

Review 123:Great accommodation, reasonably priced for Eze. Very nice evening meal & wine (although it cost more than my room)
