Reviews for Hotel Las Sirenas

Review 1:Parking was difficult but we did arrive on 1st August when the Spanish people were arriving to the chalets to start their holidays. Not the easiest place to find due to the lay-out of Viveiro. It needs city centre signage to Playa de Sacido as other beaches are clearly signed.

Review 2:On arrival we were upgraded to the more modern thalasso hotel which was much more impressive. The restaurant food was superb as was the service and the roof top location was the perfect setting. Monk fish dishes highly recommended

Review 3:Location of the Hotel on map is misleading (it points to the gardens) -the rooms are in fact right next to the highway. The complex contains abrand new "architect designed" hotel (out of place in thetraditional setting of Covas), an old Best Western Motel and somebungalows. The hotel is very much going for a corporate city feeling, not necessarily what you'd expect on the coast. The old Best Westernrooms feel a little rundown. On arrival I was informed about outdoormeals on the rooftop terrace-but in fact they only served indoors. Inthe rooms 24hrs Coffee/Tea is offered for free-I asked about this atreception-and was looked at as if I was making it up! I could pay for atea. I asked about a late check-out (I arrived late at around 10pm).This was available only at an extra 10Euro per hour.

Review 4:The swimming pool

Review 5:As we took advantage if special deal the room was disappointing, view of main road and train track noisey if window open and of course no sea vuew, we have stayed carious times and love this place but it put a damper on the weekend, no view. Covered pool not open despite temps of nearly 30 degrees. It could be open at weekends at least, even with less temps, it is a covered pool! We never have breakfast here as not good value for money and plenty of cafes in town, we walk there are back.

Review 6:Location. Next to spa, good value for money if a little small. Next to coastal walk excellent for sea air and views. Fabulous roof terrace bar. Comfortable rooms. Thoroughly reccommend for weekend escape. Great town, good hotel.

Review 7:High up on a hill with Incredibly beautiful views everywhere but would not suit older or less active visitors who would struggle with walking around the hotel and into the town.

Review 8:Very modern and clean. The room had a great view over the sea. We didn't try out the thalassotherapy areas but there seemed plenty of things on offer. Breakfast was self service and there was a fairly good selection available. The hotel had the feel of a Spanish Butlins as there was a real mix of families staying. However, it was reasonably priced and the location is great for walking and for the beaches.

Review 9:On arrival being told how much it would cost to upgrade to the nice bit of the hotel. The rooms we were given were the ones in the photo but the rest of the facilities were in the posher bit next door. We could use the pool but everything else was charged for. Beach long way down. Long walk to alternative restaurants and cafes. Hotel was on a roundabout on one side though beautiful views from top floor cafe of posh bit of hotel.

Review 10:Manager was on the severe hard sell to get us to pay for anything extra.. underground parking, lunch in their restaurant..... if not lunch then dinner... you should book now??!!... breakfast is a euro cheaper if you pay now.... Really offputting!!

Review 11:Indoor pool was really good

Review 12:The incorrect photo on booking.com website. Not really a sea view from this older hotel.

Review 13:Comfortable small room. Enjoyed the new hotel's panoramic deck and had a good meal.

Review 14:Awful breakfast coffee and poor dinner buffet

Review 15:The private beach just off the hotel and swimming pool facilities

Review 16:The room was in the old part of the hotel and has only one high small window which no view

Review 17:the view from the 5th Floor bar

Review 18:We loved the view from our room, dinner was great in the roof top restaurant, and the front desk was super and spoke English

Review 19:Price Rooms without any view Absent staff

Review 20:The beach

Review 21:Clean modern building and great staff Great view from the roof top bar / cafe.

Review 22:The breakfast it did not matter what time you got there in the morning it Was cold ,the coffee was not very good either which was a shame as everything else was good in the hotel

Review 23:The free parking was chaotic. We found that the price of the breakfasthad risen from €8 to €12 since booking the hotel and although it was abuffet with quite a lot of choice the quality of the food was notreflected in the price.

Review 24:We booked for the Best Western but were accommodated in the new hotel onthe same site, which was of a high standard. We had a lovely roomoverlooking the sea. From the hotel there were steps down to a littlebeach. There was a swimming pool and tennis courts. The staff werefriendly and helpful. The roof top restaurant was good but it was a bitdisappointing that the 'special menu' stayed the same every day. There was a choice of restaurants down the road in town serving goodfood at an economical price.

Review 25:Electric light in the bedroom near the main door with an automatic sensor which could not be de-activated. Therefore if one partner gets up in the night the light comes on and disturbs the other partner.

Review 26:Excellent quality breakfast with large choice. Spacious & comfortable room and balcony with sea view. Swimming pool & jacuzzi. Rooftop cafe with great views over the ria.

Review 27:Wifi did not workk very well. Parking outside the paid park may be a challenge.

Review 28:Easy to get there and a good spot make an headquarter and visit that side of Galiza. Hotel has some years but the room is big and in great conditions. You may take advantage of the 4* infrastructure of the main hotel of the resort, making it an excelent value for money. I strongly recommend this hotel and will be happy to come back.

Review 29:Be aware, the information here from booking is misleading. There are 2 hotels on this address. One is brand new and is called Hotel Thalasso Las Sirenas, the other one las sirenas best western. The comments suggest that when you book las sirenas best western, you end up in a brand new hotel ( this is the new Thalasso hotel on the same address). This is not true. The best western is, not new at all, it is shutting down its reception and public space facilities. It is more and more a ghost hotel in kind of a desolate area. It looks like it is getting ready for demolition or a big renovation.

Review 30:Clean.

Review 31:No laundry as described & room not air conditioned as described(Best Western Hotel closed down?). Staff friendly but inexperienced.1970S decor No wi-fi coverage in apartment.

Review 32:The excellent sea view. Spacious apartment.

Review 33:Our room had problems with the air conditioning and one of the lights would come on and go off on its own during the night.

Review 34:Hotel was modern and clean.

Review 35:Great views over Viveiro and out to sea. Quiet area and dark room at night because of dark curtaining.

Review 36:nothing

Review 37:Friendly Staff. Convenient location

Review 38:Booked for BW but stayed in hotel on same site, huge lovely room great pool and beach lovely staff great service & food. Lovely village too.

Review 39:Sleek design in a beautiful setting
