Reviews for Appart'City Orléans
Review 1:The cleaning was done very poorly. I think the whole apparment was not ever properly cleaned. Dishes were dirty and floor was visibly stained and it was sticky. Some other inconveniences: - Room was cleaned, towels & linen changed ONLY ONCE DURING TWO WEEKS STAY. No daily cleaning not even taking the trash out. (you needed to do this on your own and get new trash bag from reception) - Only one key per appartment - Inconvenient reception opening times - there was just few hangers in the closet and no hooks nowhere to hang your cloathes - wifi worked only in the hall not in the room (there was a short cable) - there was always just one roll of toilet paper and you needed to get more from reception, one roll at a time (we stayed for two weeks) - There was a dishwasher but you needed to ask for the washing powder. It was not offered. - The breakfast was totally over priced - Sofa was not in a condition that you could sit on it. Cushions were loose. - kitchen table was very small, bearly enough for two - Attitude of the staff was: please don't ask us - we don't want to do anything extra
Review 2:Location and access to appartments was good (excluding the inconvenient opening times of the reception and one key per appartment rule). We booked a 30 m2 appartment, first we got a bunker in the ground floor with a brick wall view...good thing was that we got it changed to second floor room. All of the staff tried to communicate in english and some did it well
Review 3:Code didn't work at the door, finally got in and safety box didn't open with our code so we're locked out for an hour until someone finally contacted a member of staff
Review 4:Uhm, never learned how to turn the heat down, it was 23 oC all the time (but I kept window open then).
Review 5:Obviously a place where one could stay for weeks.
Review 6:Ill mannered Receptionist. Lack of toilet seat in bathroom. Uncontrollable heat in Bedroom. Continuous noise inside and outside the Hotel. Foul stink in the Basement.
Review 7:Leaving at thee end of the tay
Review 8:- reception was closed before it was declared, it was very difficult to get key from the room in the evening, parking place was not booked for us upon our request. And the receptionist was impolite and unheplful
Review 9:Terrible smell in the corridor - but not in the room.
Review 10:A good sized apartment in the heart of Orleans. Perfect for our family for a night, but equally fine for a business stay for two weeks.
Review 11:Wifi didn't work. Given a modem which didn't work. Problem solved ourselves with cable connection to modem. Girl on counter didn't have a clue.
Review 12:It's convenience to Orleans trams and supermarket
Review 13:Room was very very warm even though heating was off and window open all night
Review 14:Perfect for exploring the centre, about 10 mins walk, much cheaper than other well know chain across the road Easy to find, room was like a self catering with cooking facilities, even a dishwasher, not that I intended cooking on holiday! :)
Review 15:Staff having a very loud and heated argument in the dinning area at breakfast time.no one on reception desk when we were checking out we found her outside smoking.
Review 16:Not a lot to like about this place
Review 17:The bedroom was supposed to be seperated but that was not the case. It was in the same room as the sofabed which was in the "living room". The kitchenfloor was a bit "sticky". There was very little kitchenware.
Review 18:The appartement was sufficiently spacious. It was situated in a quiet area, but near to the center. It was very clean, except for the kitchenfloor.
Review 19:Internet did not work. Staff not helpful. Breakfast terrible 9.50 was rediculous. We have been traceling for nine months Nd had far better breakfasts for 5.50
Review 20:No comment
Review 21:Internet inside the individual appartments only offered via cable. At least that's what I have been told at the reception. When addressed in English, the receptionist answered in French. What can I say? "Merci a bunch..."
Review 22:Fairly well located, relativeley clean.
Review 23:Reception closed at 12md. But website stated 5pm. Entrance locked onarrival at 5pm and no sms code received as promised. Relied on kindnessof others eg cleaner & fellow guest to sort it out as we are non-French speakers. On reception opening following day, receptionist gaveall 4 of us complimentary breakfast and an apology.
Review 24:Parking facilities. Value for money.
Review 25:Wash Hand Basin was blocked, more maintenance needed! Lacks natural daylight. Parking should be free. Our room neighbour set off smoke alarm, with something they burnt while cooking, then main building fire alarm went off as there was excessive smoke emission everywhere. We evacuated but others from upper floors did not, the duty manager did not co-ordinated the fire alarm, evacuation and re entry for all. The upper level occupants Did not evacuate. Quite concerning if a real fire broke out!
Review 26:Quite spacious.
Review 27:Really needed air conditioning as we went in August but the cost reflected this.
Review 28:Location was excellent 10 minute walk to the city centre. Plenty of safe on street parking
Review 29:Reserved parking, confirmed and acknowledged by email, parking not available on arrival so I had to trawl the local streets and leave a car loaded to the brim with luggage somewhere safe. Not very happy at all! Staff were dismissive when confronted.
Review 30:great location
Review 31:When we arrived we could not get in (it is not staffed at all on a Sunday evening). When we did manage to make contact over the phone (after half an hour of trying a phone number that no-one answered), we found that our key did not open our apartment door. After another 45 minutes trying to make contact, a man from a security firm arrived and opened the door for us. However, he did not work for the hotel, and had no way of making our key work. Also we had booked a car parking space, but the key did not work on the gate. We could not therefore go out at all, and had to spend the entire evening in the rather spartan apartment. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Review 32:Very close to city centre.
Review 33:2 rooms on different floors family therefore split up, no TV signal, wifi cones and goes, not answering the out of hours phone ! Couldn't get in on arrival into car patk
Review 34:A few minor issues with the flush on the loo and shower door didn't shut properly but didn't dampen the experience.
Review 35:Very clean and airy. Nice modern finish. Loved having a little kitchen area for drinks and food. A really nice place to stay.
Review 36:reception staff can not understand english?! it should be part of his job...
Review 37:good location, free parking spots near hotel (same street). ok, would go back
Review 38:breakfast seemed a little expensive so we went to town and had coffee and pastry
Review 39:room very comfortable and clean it had everything we needed the bed was very clean and loved the comforter clean clean
Review 40:No air con in room and we had to buy a small fan, this was not adequate . Our key card stopped working on second night after we had got back from a wedding. We then had to call out a stand by security to let us in at four in the morning.
Review 41:Nice view, shower worked well.
Review 42:It is difficult to get into the hotel. We arrived by car, but had to abandon the car in the street at the back and find a way in on foot to rigister and pay before they would give us a card to open the gate to the car park. In the room, the lamp shade was broken, a bed side table was missing and I was charged for wifi even though I did not use it (didnt notice till after we had left and I reviewed the bill).
Review 43:The hotel was clean and the room Stayed here on route home form the South of France. The hotel was clean and well appointed. I was pleasantly surprised by the equipment in the room, fridge, dishwasher, sink, cutlery and crockery. eben dishwasher tablets and washin up liquid provided. Ideal for a one night stopover on route south or home.
Review 44:I guess it must happen sometimes but NO HOT WATER for showers after a trip is annoying and lack of response until next day after checkout showed little concern !
Review 45:Nice new and clean apartment, good bed and facilities - BUT NO HOT WATER !!!
Review 46:Arrived at 10PM, no reception, my key (electronic key) was in a safe of which i received the code via SMS. Went to my room, the electronic key did not work (not programmed?). Nobody replied at the emergency phone. Had to spend the night in another hotel at my expenses. The receptionist at the other hotel confirmed that this is not the first time.
Review 47:nothing
Review 48:The wifi was not available on arrival came on at 7 p.m and was very slow. The mattress was very uncomfortable. There was no air comm and the room was so hot could not sleep staff were not very helpful,
Review 49:The apartment was nice very large.
Review 50:The reception is closed in limited times only. It is closed on Saturday after 5 pm and all the day Sunday. A lot of people, both individual and small groups, are unable to get to the residence outside of reception opening times. They spend a lot of time waiting, they call their travel agencies, or they are "saved" by the guests who are already checked in. Getting around is rather complicated the 1st time: you have to know that the main parking has 2 gates, one for entering and the other for getting out (most people try to get in by the gate out). Most people (but not all) get their codes onto their mobile phones, but they are unable to tell what is the code for the gate (portail), residence door (porte) and safebox (coffre) with envelope with your card. There is no air conditioning in the building. Although the overall cleanliness in the appartment was OK, there were several big dirty spots on the carpet floor - this should have been removed. As I said the appartment was large, but it seemed to me it did not have enough furniture to make our stay fully comfortable. No drawers at all. Only one cupboard for clothes. Only one night table. No armchair. Small desk with a (too small) TV on it. There were a lot of space for several smaller tables and a chest of drawers for example. There were no typical 200-250-ml mugs or glasses (only small espresso-type cups). There was a telephone in the room, but we were informed that it's not possible that someone from outside calls us (it would have saved us a lot of money, because my family who stayed at home, have free calls to landlines in Europe).
Review 51:This place is very well located - just about 10 minute walk to the historical centre of Orleans. There is a bus stop just next to the hotel back door (but I did not use these bus lines so I do not know where they go), and if you get tired walking the old town, it is not very far from the hotel to a stop of a "shuttle" (a minibus; 0.5 EUR, only weekdays, circulates in the old town). Although the "studio" we booked was not bad, we decided to upgrade to a bigger appartment (living room+sleeping room+kitchenette+bathroom). It was very large. The staff was very nice. Internet by itself is free (on cable). If you want a WiFi, you can rent a small router.
Review 52:The room was very hot and the floor was not particularly clean. Our bed was two very small singles pushed together which made for two uncomfortable nights sleep. We did not find the staff particularly helpful.
Review 53:The price of this apartment was reasonable and the location was quite close to the train station. it was good to have some self catering facilities but we did not have a kettle in our room.
Review 54:A ton of flies flew in to our room from the window, but the staff acted super quick and transferred us to another room so everything was fine :)
Review 55:Staff super friendly, the wifi is actually free.
Review 56:- Staff were not very helpful. We were visiting Orleans for leisure and they did not give us any tourist information (eg. they didn't even have maps at reception) - Check in is exactly at 3pm not a second earlier and there aren't even any seats to sit on if you arrive earlier. We had to pay 2 Euros per bag to store at the reception as we arrived earlier than the designated time. - We were told wifi was broken on the first night and the cable connectors were all sold out so we had no internet! A couple of days later we were told wifi was working again however the connections were at capacity so the only option was to get a cable for laptop use only. All internet is paid. - Room has no airflow, had to open window to get air which meant it was really noisy in the carpark. It seems to be student accommodation so at times it was quite loud. - Although it is a self contained apartment 2 of us were staying for 3 nights and we only got 2 rolls of toiled paper. We asked the receptionist for more but of course it was additional money. We would normally expect self catered to at least cover basics. - We had to strictly remove all rubbish from the room and do all washing up before checking out otherwise they would charge for this
Review 57:The location was really good, a short walk to the main areas and the room was a good size for the price.
Review 58:pull out sleeper sofa a little uncomfortable, but ok for one night
Review 59:uncomplicated, clean and modern, great self catering facilities, nice big bathroom with great showers
Review 60:Poor, complicated access code instructions. French language only out of office help line. Shoddy service for a company advertising on a global website.
Review 61:Location
Review 62:When we arrived , we discovered we should have reserved a car parking slot, not advised to us at time of booking. There was no staff to help us access the car park. We then realized we needed an access code to enter the car park, again, not advised beforehand. I called the customer services and tried to explain our predicament. We couldn’t leave our car in the street, loaded with luggage and roof box full of Christmas presents. The man I spoke too was rude and impatient. The signal kept cutting, each time he called me back, I continued to explain I needed a code to get the car in. He ended up shouting at me and said there was no more he could do since I hadn’t booked a car parking slot. Luckily a few guests were able to help us in and explain how to use the other codes I had in my email confirmation. One code to enter the lobby & another to access a security box which contained the keys to our apartment. The note on the keys to our apartment had one set of numbers (floor & apartment number, then a post-it note with another floor & apartment number). We trudged from floor to floor before the key worked. The apartment stank of cigarettes, despite asking for a no smoking room. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, hairs on the shower and floor. A very uncomfortable night’s sleep, honestly, the smell of cigarettes kept us awake. If there was a member of staff to help us upon arrival, perhaps it would have been less stressful but I won’t be booking one of these apartments again.
Review 63:No staff on duty when we arrived at 1830. Company had emailed us the access code to get in - didn't work.
Review 64:Good sized room Clean and well-maintained Well-equipped kitchen Very good value for money
Review 65:Reception was closed. The checkin procedure was chaotic. We should have gotten a code by SMS. We did not get it. The people on the call center were clueless and unfriendly. Not a good bed. Toilet made strange noises every 5 minutes.
Review 66:Price versus quality
Review 67:- wi fi was not working. - Its not possible to pay by cash in the hotel although such option is written on their booking website... - the stuff speak very bad english
Review 68:I left my mobile at home so it was difficult to get into the hotel..If I did not speak french it would have been v difficult to get into the room.
Review 69:Location and secure parking
Review 70:Difficult to find by car. Car park full on arrival because security gates not working. Person on reception unhelpful. Stairs stuffy and smelly. No luggage trolley. Bathroom could have been cleaner. No room service for short stay. Bed settee uncomfortable to sit on. Microwave far too high. Bang head on shelf when washing up. Reception not 24/7.
Review 71:Good location, spacious bedroom.
Review 72:The bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable. Lot of noise from outside and other rooms. Staff wasn't interested at all and weren't helpfull our friendly.
Review 73:The location is good Bathroom was good
Review 74:Location is out of the way. Feels like a hospital or a Soviet apartment building. Staff seem to wish they were somewhere else. If you arrive late the entrance is closed!
Review 75:Price is right. Parking is secure at night. Wifi signal is strong and cable internet is available for just 1 EUR
Review 76:The wi-fi only worked in the lobby. Several things did not work - light in hall, extractor in the bathroom and over the kitchenette, the toilet seat was broken. Not enough plug sockets. If I had paid more and/or stayed longer I doubt if I would have been happy.
Review 77:The staff were friendly. We were able to park on site. The bed was big and comfortable. We had a very good rate by booking well in advance. Cleanliness just ok.
Review 78:We loved it staff great and hotel was really good, we have stayed at a lot of hotels and I would say this hotel was the best for the money the bed was comfortable and we sleep well. We will use again and on our next year holidays we will be booking with this hotel chain again.
Review 79:Please add some soap in the bathroom Also, it is expected to leave the kitchen clean, but no dishwasher liquid is provided
Review 80:Impeccably clean Very well situated, close to the railway station Big and well-equiped bathroom
Review 81:I didn't find the directions to the apartments very clear or helpful. They are on a one-way street and, having arrived facing the 'wrong way' it took some time to find the 'right way' to approach the apartments. At the end of a fairly long day's drive, I didn't find this very amusing. We had booked parking in advance and when we arrived we were given the very last one. Cars arriving directly behind us were turned away, even though some of them claimed to have booked parking too.
Review 82:The apartment came as a wonderful surprise to us, considering the price. The staff were polite and helpful, the facilities were very comprehensive and the room was clean and pleasant. The location was quiet, so we were able to get a good night's sleep. I would definitely recommend these apartments to other travellers.
Review 83:The hour of reception is open, in reservation documents, was until 23:00; we arrive at 20:30 and all was closed: reception, parking. They have an information in the door that the reception close at 20:00 that day. They said nothing to us! When we arrived and phoned to them we have no assistence to solve that problem. Other guest helped us. They have not respect the contract, caused us big problems and spend in telephone. We must be compensate.
Review 84:Was a bit challenging to find at first while driving as it's on a small & one-way street that doesn't come directly off the boulevard; a few things needed fixing in the bathroom
Review 85:Very friendly staff, good location & easy to get to the city centre, easy parking in the area, nicely equipped kitchenette, free Internet
Review 86:Not clean, no parking, broken AC (and loud with open windows), staff could be friendlier, you are expected to bring down the trash. ..
Review 87:Low price. Decent location
Review 88:Nothing really. Car parking is at a premium. You have to get there before 6.00pm. We had a motorbike but last time, had a car that we had to park in the road.
Review 89:We requested a room at the back, away from the main road. The location is just right for the city. A 10 minute walk is ideal. Wi fi was available in the lobby and, it connected well.
Review 90:Dogs staying in the room next door that was left alone to bark while the owner went to breakfast for half an hour! Un helpful reception staff, poor parking facilities.
Review 91:Facilities good, clean.
Review 92:The wifi was non-existent in oir first floor room. We had to go and stand by the elevator to get connection. There was an orange fungus in the shower stall. I counted over 10 large hairs on the bathroom floor when I used the bathroom upon our arrival. The bed was uncomfortable and I had a back-ache every morning. The majority of the staff were personable but there were a few rude exceptions.
Review 93:The location of the apartments was good, though if you have an apartment facing the main road it is a little noisy as we had to sleep with the window open as there is no air conditioning. The bathroom was a good size.
Review 94:A kettle/coffee maker would have been nice. Make sure you pre-book a car park space if required, it's small for the size of the hotel.
Review 95:Location, lay out of apartment
Review 96:Couldn't get in when first arrived cos lunchtime so carpark gates shut. Electronic door let's took some getting use to.
Review 97:Parking on site. Comfortable rooms. Kitchen handy if you were staying more than one night (remember to take own tea, coffee milk) Didn't have breakfast but it looked like it was good. Easy walk into town.
Review 98:No air-con so slept less well than I would have liked. Very hard to locate - no signs so be warned.
Review 99:Very good location - could walk to restaurants to eat in evening. Paid for secure parking but lots of free available close to hotel. Well equipped kitchen - kettle etc. so can make your own breakfast.
Review 100:On the Friday night when we arrived we were greeted by a delightful young man he could not have been more polite or more helpful we had driven a long way and were tired he brightened our day and made the stay memorable thank him from us please!
Review 101:Facility was poor compared to other apartment hotels we have stayed. Only soap was in the shower, bathroom mirror was too high for my wife. Would not recommend
Review 102:Parking convenient and close to center city
Review 103:Pink and Orange Mould in Showers (both rooms) - disgusting Lack of service Crazy rules like 65 Euros if you lose your plastic key card and 25 Euros if you don't wash up...
Review 104:Location Secure Parking Price at 50 Euros
Review 105:Everything was additional cost. Electricity. Additional anything. Cleaning if you left anything unwashed including a cup!!
Review 106:Clean. Available wifi in lobby free for teenagers
Review 107:No air conditioning and no fan for very hot days and nights. Large windows open inwards over the bed. Had to close the windows during the thunderstorms, which made a very hot and stuffy room.
Review 108:Clean, tidy room. Kitchenette with adequate utensils, etc for meal preparation. A lift to all floors. Wifi worked with the help of a in-room wifi router at an extra cost of 2 euros per day and a helpful receptionist who assisted with logging onto the wifi connection.
Review 109:moeilijk toegankelijk door entree code. onduidelijkheid over ontbijt faciliteiten. in de omgeving weinig gelegenheid tot dinner
Review 110:prima locatie voor city visit of als overnight stay
Review 111:The building is really somber. Smelly in the hallways for lack of fresh air. Receptionist was overwhelmed, request for a parking place (3 times in advance as was recommended) wasn't answered. We luckily got one at arrival. The neighbourhood is right next to the center, but a bit dodgy.
Review 112:Room was really clean and well-organised. Beds where good, as was the bathroom.
Review 113:Shower, the bathroom tiles was a bit unclean
Review 114:TV , bed and kitchen
Review 115:Trying to find it in the dark not knowing the area. Parking fee which shouldnt be levied.
Review 116:Sp.acious, clean wel equipped superb value for money
Review 117:Good location, close to the city centre. We parking on the street with the car and no any problem. Nice, quiet room.
Review 118:awkward to find via satnav
Review 119:great room and facilities
Review 120:Excellent location Great facilities in spacious room
Review 121:Nice clean hotel, although a little hard to find at first.Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean, Cental location
Review 122:Small table
Review 123:Centrally located, quiet room, WIFI did work.
Review 124:Rude arrogant and dismissive front of desk staff, filthy bathroom, had to request toilet paper when first arrived had to ask for a towel
Review 125:clean kitchen equipment and facilities were dirty crumbs still in microwave
Review 126:Was good price for the night stay
Review 127:Not enough towels or pillows.
Review 128:Well equipped kitchen area.
Review 129:Only 800 m from railway station and city center, comfortable and clean.
Review 130:We had a group of young people in the room next too us and they were very noisy, keeping us awake all night.
Review 131:The location
Review 132:despite reserving parking, none available.
Review 133:room a tiny bit on the small side but we were happy with what we paid
Review 134:Excellent little studio
Review 135:Notthing
