Review 11：The first impression when you arrive at the hotel was nice and friendly owner at the reception. We stayed one night, and we had a beautiful room on the ground floor with a small garden. It was very comfortable because we entered directly suitcases from the car to the room from the courtyard. All in all, our impression is that this is a family hotel with charm.

Review 94：The couple who run Le Chantilly obviously enjoy working together and are very accommodating to their guests. From the Italian jasmine in the garden to the breakfast which included a homemade cake and compote to the directions on how to get to Nice and what to visit in the time we had, we loved Le Chantilly!

Review 95：Would have liked tea/coffee facilities in room. Hair dryers in room would help - they are available to borrow. Hot breakfast option would be nice. These "problems" however are tiny and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Review 103：Frédérique et Gérard, the proprieters were waiting for me at the front door upon my arrival; a simple indication of the friendly care that's part of this place. It's simple, there's no frills, but perceived as a minimalistic, modern aesthetic, I'm good with that and i'll take a nice smile and consideration any day. The place is immaculate, the people happy and helpful. The location is great, a wonderful value a 5 minute walk from the train. I just came from a week in St. Paul de Vence (the columbe d'or) and felt very welcome here. It's super awesome. Go. Now. :)

Review 108：The price was quite expensive for a two star hotel, if you were to add breakfast. We had the room on the back ground level, with a windowed door to the parking lot, no privacy at all. The other room had a small courtyard, but there wasn't even some lines to dry your clothes (a must in any beach location!!) No minibar! Mosquitoes everywhere, had to buy a can of insecticide the first day. The bathroom was so small one could barely sit on the toilet.

Review 110：It is very noisy: it is close to the highway and another road, a fact not mentioned or very visible from the map. One cannot sleep during the summer with the windows closed to diminish the noise, as there is no air conditioned. The carpet in our room was slightly smelly (humidity and dust), and in room it also smelled of fresh paint from the doors and the corridors. The colour of the new paint on the doors is a horrible gray more suitable for a prison than for a holiday hotel. At the same time, the window frames are in desperate need for paint and the windows do not close well. The shower gel/shampoo recipient had more water inside than gel/shampoo. It does not have a fridge but it is full of announcements of what one is NOT allowed to do in the room. The staff made us feel unwelcomed, especially at the beginning when the owner/manager (?) behaved rather arrogantly, although we speak the language, as well as English. The breakfast was not included and we paid extra 8 Euro/person but what they offered for this was minimal and of really poor quality (for instance, the croissants were uneatable, and that says something in France). It would have been much cheaper and better to buy breakfast at the supermarket, which is just round the corner at the intersection, but they do not allow guests to bring in food for breakfast (only for lunch and dinner, which can be eaten in the garden). The parking space is given for the entire period of stay and since we stayed several days and there were several free parking places, we kindly asked for one of the places that had more shadow but we were refused. The reason the staff gave us was that the place was priorly booked, which was obviously not true, as one cannot book the specific place before and one could not know what place would get anyway.

Review 111：It had parking and decent wi-fi connection. It is close to the beach (though, be aware, in this town there is a pebble not sand beach). The bathroom, though very small, it is clean and well kept. The building has a charm but needs refurbishment both outside and inside.

Review 112：As an improvement, A/C would be great although fans and air refresher that were provided to us are very helpful - on the other hand, we went there during the hottest days of the season. As our room was just above the garden, cigarette smoke raised the room which required us to close the windows (and therefore increasing the heat).
