Reviews for Côté Lourmarin

Review 1:Christine the proprietor was exceptional, friendly, helpful, serving. The property itself is set just in the middle of the small town. Our room was spacious, quiet, and very well appointed. The cheery fires in the evening in the sitting room, and in the morning in the kitchen helped to warm us in more ways that one. A truly wonderful place to stay. We will return.

Review 2:Great location in town. Easy to walk around, attend markets and a variety of shops and excellent restaurants. Christine, our hostess, at the Cote Lourmarin was most gracious and went out of her way to accommodate our schedule, prepare amazing breakfasts and decorate with great detail which did not go unnoticed. This was truly an elegant French experience and reasonably priced. We stayed here four nights so I feel we had an accurate perspective on our stay. Our friends and my husband and I travel a lot and always stay in in a bed and breakfast when possible and this was the best by far.

Review 3:Christine and Pascal were so nice and incredibly accommodating. The breakfast was made to our preferences and Christine helped us to plan our itinerary.

Review 4:We liked all aspects of the stay

Review 5:The elegant rooms, living room and the breakfast kitchen takes you into a world of Provence dreams. The hospitality is unique! We will be back soon!

Review 6:A very tasteful chamber d' hote. Beautifully presented and lots of attention to detail. A delightful warm and welcoming hostess with a wealth of local knowledge. As there are only 2 rooms it really feels personal. Would definitely return.

Review 7:Our stay at Cote Lourmarin was perfect! The place is absolutely gorgeous and had all the comforts of home. This bed and breakfast is located in the heart of the village so getting around is so easy! Christine and her husband could not have been more welcoming and helpful, and the morning breakfast was delicious!! Can't wait to one day make a return visit!!

Review 8:We enjoyed the location, beautifully decorated rooms, wonderful cooked-to-order breakfast, and great location. Christine and Pascal are fantastic hosts who went out of their way to make our visit very special. We feel that we made friends with them.

Review 9:There are many beautiful B&B in Provence, but Côté Lourmarin becomes one of kind thanks to owner Christine. Her excellent tastes in decoration, perfection in details, and warmth in hospitality gives us a trip of life time~! Thank you!

Review 10:Nothing

Review 11:From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the delightful Cristine, we knew we were in for a treat. The glorious rooms of her magnificent home are superbly decorated with all the touches of home (and I few that I would love to have at home!). It is a charming refuge in a quaint village of the Luberon. Christine offered us a welcoming glass of wine and charming conversation in addition to making sure that all the amenities were in place in our lovely bedroom. The rooms are immaculate and the use of the living room with a grand fireplace was delightful on a cool & rainy fall evening. Breakfast was an extraordinary treat with fresh breads, cheeses, yogurts, jams and eggs if you wanted them. Christine also gave all manner of guidance in finding good restaurants and sights in the region. I cannot recommend this place highly enough...it was a delight!

Review 12:Christine the owner, treated us as royalty. We travel 5 months of the year and Cote' Lourmarin is definitely the best B&B we stayed in. We will be back!!!

Review 13:Nothing!

Review 14:We loved EVERYTHING about Cote Lourmarin! I'm never sure what to expect when staying in a very small B&B (privacy, security, hospitality, etc.) however Christine far exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. Her home is beautifully decorated in traditional Provence style, very welcoming, stylish and comfortable. Christine's attention to every detail is evident throughout the house - including a warm fire to welcome you back after a long day touring around, and another warm fire to welcome you during breakfast. Christine, thank you so much for making our visit most memorable!!

Review 15:This was truly one of my favorite B&B's ever. The property has very few rooms and would work fine for a family or, as we were, a group of friends. The house is immaculate and beautifully, but simply decorated. Christine was a wonderful host who is very knowledgeable about the area and very helpful with suggestions for dining or sightseeing. She is very detail oriented and no part of the experience is overlooked from the dishes to the linens all of which exceeded my expectations. The breakfasts each morning were wonderful with all types of special breads, meats and cheeses beautifully prepared in a welcoming kitchen. Christine was also so nice to make a special early breakfast for one of our group who was running a marathon. The house is right in the center of the lovely town of Lourmarin and is an ideal base to explore other villages in the region. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were so clean and well equipped. I felt so spoiled staying here, I will definitely return when I get the chance.

Review 16:Nothing at all

Review 17:Christine has impeccable taste and it shows in everything about Cote Lourmarin--from the interiors of the home, the bathroom fittings, the dining implements, the breakfast. In all my years of traveling and staying in many kinds of places, I haven't encountered this much attention to detail. Christine is warm and sincere and I wish we could've stayed longer.

Review 18:Nothing it was perfect.

Review 19:This was our 2nd. Visit to Cote Lourmarin & it was just perfect. We would have liked to stay longer but was enroute to another area. The house is so beatiful & is kept immaculate by the owner Kristine who is so warm & welcoming. We hope to visit in May next year & stay longer as we absolute love it there. Breakfast is lovely with local cheeses, meats & a lovely selection of breads & fruit. We would recommend this home from home to anyone visiting the area. As the house is in the centre of the village it's so convenient for cafés, restaurants & shops, not forgetting the great Friday Market. Thank you Kristine for the lovely welcome back & we look forward to seeing you next year.

Review 20:a pefect place to stay. The room we had was huge. Christine was very willing to help on places to visit over her huge breakfast. We would love to go back but it seems others have found her house so it is booked next year so book early. I wish we had!

Review 21:This was such an amazingly lovely way to spend a holiday in Provence. All you could hope for and much more. Christine will spoil you.

Review 22:nothing

Review 23:everything

Review 24:Cote Lourmarin is the best B&B we stayed in. Christine is a lovely and wonderful host. We will return one day.

Review 25:One of the best memories of our recent trip! Christine, the host, has exquisite taste and this is reflected in every facet of her B&B!

Review 26:Christine was an amazing host! Immaculate apartment, everything thought of, excellent breakfast. Could not have asked for more.

Review 27:Christine was a delightful host in this wonderfully appointed bed and breakfast in the center of Lourmarin. The rooms were delightful, the breakfasts were exquisite, and Christine was the most charming hostess. This is by far the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in!

Review 28:The B&B owner, Christine and her husband had been extraordinarily friendly, supportive, and with very good taste for the deco. The breakfast had been excellent, largely superior than most of B&B and hotel in France. The travel information (even out of Lourmarin) had been provided actively and of great help. It's a heaven-like experience and perfect for moneymoon trip.

Review 29:Great experience. Christine was a wonderful hostess and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Loved the Lourmarin town and walks, the market, the shopping trip, the house and Christine. Sad to leave.

Review 30:Nothing. The only challenge is finding it - so do remember to ask howbefore arriving, which I forgot to do.

Review 31:Cote Lourmarin is like stepping back in time, with all the lovely modernconveniences. It is exactly what I was looking for -- like staying in aperiod home of someone with excellent taste & design sensibility.Right in the center of a tiny charming ancient village.

Review 32:All I can say is "wow"! Christine, the host has a wonderful small "hotel". Its is located in the heart of Lourmarin in a lovely typical Provence style building that has been decorated artfully right down to the last detail. It is very elegant and traditional at the same time. Breakfast is also wonderful. This is a unique place to stay that deserves the highest rating possible. Thanks again Christine!

Review 33:You would be hard to find a prettier, friendlier place anywhere. Thank you Christine and Pascal! We slept so well it was hard to get out of bed. The breakfast was so yummy and Christine so engaging that it could have easily turned into lunch and the village oozed everything we love about Provence. Go and stay - you won't regret it.We will definitely be going back!

Review 34:Everything was perfect and Christine our host was better than amazing. Every detail was considered and was a luxurious break. The breakfast each morning was indulgent and impressive. I don't think anything will compare to Christine's scrambled eggs, cheese selection and croissants. We were provided lots of great insights and treated like family.

Review 35:A beautiful french house which is a total pleasure to stay in. The hosts are lovely welcoming people. Breakfast is fantastic. Extremely lucky to have found this Chambre d'hote.

Review 36:We really enjoyed our stay with Christine at the Cote Lourmarin. The hotel is chic and very comfortable with those individual touches that make for a special experience. The rooms are immaculate with very comfortable beds ( beautiful linen sheets) and fabulous French décor. Breakfast in the beautiful Provencale kitchen/ dining room was excellent with a selection of freshly baked breads, pastries, meat, cheese along with eggs prepared on the spot. The food and presentation was haut de gamme. Christine is a most gracious and warm hostess and could not have done more to make our stay a very pleasant one. All in all our time at the Cote Lourmarin was a highlight of our trip and we look forward to our next visit.

Review 37:There was nothing to dislike.

Review 38:A truly lovely place to stay. Christine and her husband Pascale greetedus with the warmth of old friends. She immediately took charge, installing us by the fire ( it was ferbruary) in her big Provencal stylekitchen, offering us an apperitif and telephoning the restaurarnt totell them we would be late. We were taken up a stone and wrought ironstaircase to a beautiful bedroom. As this is an old town house it waslarge and spacious. There was water, fruit and local nougart. Christinehas an eye for quality and great taste. I find it hard to sleep inhotels as the beds are such poor quality with their cheap matresses ,tight sheeets and skimpy blankets. This bed was home from home. The onlyplace in a lifetime of travelling where I have slept between antiqueembroidered French linen sheets, complete with a light duvet andbeautiful pillows. Although right in the centre it was very quiet.Breakfast was in the kitchen...the fire was still glowing, cafe au laitserve in big outsized cups, with freshly squeezed orange juice and localproduce. Christine herself is absolutely charming and couldn't bemore helpful. I am looking for an excuse to go back. This is anexceptional place to stay and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Review 39:Our trip to Cote Lourmarin was just fantastic, a real contender to any Luxury Boutique Hotel, the whole experience exceeded our expectations on every level. Definitely going to come back.

Review 40:Cote Lourmarin is a gem. We stayed in the smaller of the two rooms and it was perfect. The queen bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious (shower only in this bath, but the larger room has a bath tub and a shower). Each room also has its own toilette. The house has been beautifully renovated by the owner, Christine. We have visited the village of Lourmarin many times but this was our first trip during the winter. The town was less lively than some ghost towns we've seen in the American West, but the charm was still there. Christine recommended a restaurant about 15 minutes away by car for dinner and it was superb - as was the breakfast prepared for us by Christine. Stay there if you can - you won't regret it.

Review 41:Perfect location and lovely B&B. Very classy.

Review 42:Wonderful hospitality and welcome. Very comfortable and pretty bedroom. Excellent breakfast.

Review 43:Hospitality, the opportunity to explore the Lourmarin village, the great collection of antiques.

Review 44:Excellent bed and breadfast.

Review 45:Most amazing service I have experienced had in a French Hotel.

Review 46:hospitality, friendly atmosphere, design
