Reviews for Le Relais Du Lac

Review 1:I booked here because we wanted a meal and emailed the hotel to book a table only to be then informed the restaurant was closed. The booking could not be cancelled without being charged the full amount. We had to take cold food with us and eat in our rooms as my husband had done a six hour drive. The hotel did not suggest another place to eat. I do not think the hotel should advertise a restaurant without stating it will not be open prior to making a booking which cannot be cancelled. Checking before booking is not always possible. My other request for rooms with walk in showers not bathtubs was not met in one room which was difficult for a semi disabled person.

Review 2:The location, although our rooms did not have a view of the lake.

Review 3:Heating was not on when we arrived so bedroom was cold - bathroom had no heating at all.

Review 4:Good position on lakeside with walking around and easy access to town. Parking fine but would have to use public parking nearby in busy times.

Review 5:Impossible to control the shower so water got all over the floor and did not drain away. Badly altered door lock. Wifi very slow.

Review 6:A good sized room which was let down by the facilities. Excellent breakfast.

Review 7:Rooms lake side receive directly the sun, but their windows can only be slightly opened, and there was no fan nor AC. The heat in the room was awful. Avoid the lakeside rooms in summer.

Review 8:The place is relaxing, on a lake, the staff is great

Review 9:We had a small room at the back of hotel on a very busy road with refrigeration fans going all night ie very noisy. The bathroom was down three steps which was a bit hazzerdous at night. No hairdryer although reception brought one to the room.

Review 10:Friendly receptionist although had to wait to be shown room. We were offered a soft drink/tea on arrival. Breakfast good. Bright breakfast room - no restaurant but one nearby.

Review 11:We tried to confirm that pets were allowed and price twice by email with no answer. The reason: nobody speak English or any other language than French. We arrived with any price known for the dog, and for 2 nights we paid 50€ Pet-extracost. Breakfast poor and expensive.

Review 12:Location

Review 13:One of the best things about this place was waking up and stepping just outside the back door to a beautiful lake and watching all the sunday morning joggers cruise past whilst i sipped on my green tea. Plus the rooms were cheap, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. great place!

Review 14:- Breakfast could have been a bit better, only the basics on offer, coffee, croisants, jam, cheese, ham and orange juice, I would have appreciated some eggs and bacon on top of that...

Review 15:- Very friendly and flexible Staff - Large Lake view room with a big balcony, perfect for afternoon Sun and Sunsets, balcony literally 5 Meters from the lake front - An idyllic, a bit older building, not for somebody who is looking for top modern glass and cement building... - This hotel deserves the 3 Stars it has.

Review 16:There was no tea /coffee making facility. No fridge No provision for ice Creaking bed Very cheap plastic toilet seat that was very unsteady when used. Toilet paper holder was not firmly fixed. Shower screen allowed water to flow over the bathroom floor causing a major slipping hazard. Bathroom mirror light holder had no fitting I n and was exposed when the light switch was on which could have been fatal should any one touch it especially with wet hands. No handrail fitted on four steep steps into our bedroom bathroom. Main stairwell was steep and had threadbare carpet covering each step ( no lift)

Review 17:The location was very nice on the lake (lagoon)

Review 18:The view and setting were amazing! It was so nice being able to park in front of the hotel then not have to move the car again until we left to go home. Welcome very warm!

Review 19:Room was very small, bathroom was really cramped. No home comforts. Twenty minute walk from centre. Condition of room was tired and lacked character. Its selling point is obviously the fact that it is on the lake, but don't think it Justifies the price.

Review 20:On the lake.

Review 21:Very minor: - Some glitches in the facilities (hot & cold water taps inverted), some shelves badly fixed - Noisy at night because pedestrians walk at 2 meters from the windows and speak loudly

Review 22:- Helpful staff - Location - Bed confort - Size of room - View of the lake: room is 5 meters from the water

Review 23:Nothing to remark

Review 24:The recepcionist was very kind.

Review 25:No tea/coffee facilities in bedroom

Review 26:Delightful staff, great location

Review 27:Cistvof breakfast

Review 28:Love this gem of a hotel Easy parking Great lakeside views Clean modern rooms Lovely staff

Review 29:One of the nicest good value hotels in hossegor

Review 30:The noise

Review 31:The view

Review 32:View

Review 33:Very basic Did not feel clean quality of the hotel very poor. Other than a good view and reasonable bed. Not good.

Review 34:Friendly and comfortable

Review 35:Wifi weak

Review 36:Not able to buy a coffee, need to be very early for breakfast

Review 37:Excellent room, terrific view, location good if you like walking

Review 38:Friendliness of staff, convenience of location, comfortable room, location on the shore of the lake, and proximity to beaches.

Review 39:Friendly welcome. Accommodating to my unpredictable schedule. Got a room overlooking the lake. Beautiful view. Copious breakfast.

Review 40:Nothing

Review 41:The view , the price and dog friendly

Review 42:Ensure bathroom with see-through window

Review 43:Some noise in rooms Decent walk to town or beach, car recommended

Review 44:Rooms Lake views

Review 45:Plastic undersheet on the bed, bathroom badly designed and very small. Left loads of water on the floor

Review 46:The location was amazing

Review 47:Awesome hotel on Lake Hossegor. Close to town and the beach (you need a car here). Great view of the lake from the room. It was very hot while we were here so a fan would have been great but we didn't ask. They had free washer and dryers and didn't charge us for coffee in the lobby each morning. I would 100% recommend this place...great surf just down the street too :)

Review 48:we had a horrible stay there. we had septic back up in the room for 3 days and no one knew had to fix it and i had to tell them what to do.. a stray cat came in the room at nite and landed on my chest and obvioulsy terrified me and had to remove from the room at 2 am..towels were not cleaned. the shower head was set up for anyone 4'6"' and smaller so we could barely get wet..and many many other problems..

Review 49:location, cafe was nice and the staff was nice and the manager was very helpful

Review 50:Room was noisy due to thin walls. Jogging path along lake shore right in front of the window. Hotel overpriced for its value, however it was full season at a seaside location.

Review 51:The hotel is located right on the shore of this ocean-connected lake. Hossegor and Cap Breton are lively seaside location, with good beaches around.

Review 52:Great location next to lake and short walk into centre. Really comfortable beds. Totally adequate bathroom etc. Good wifi. Balcony over lake.

Review 53:The situation and the friendlyness
