Reviews for Hôtel Saint Martin
Review 1:Although a compact hotel and room, it has everything you need, it's been well thought out and is very clean. We stayed here on our way to Toulouse and stayed there again on our way back home, great location too and staff at reception were very helpful, happy and polite. Wish there were many more places like this, well done! Liz Owen
Review 2:No lift to get up to the 3rd floor, but was stipulated in the booking. Expensive breakfast Croissants were stale No air conditioning
Review 3:Coffee was excellent Central location - we could walk into town & to the cathedral Rooms were spacious
Review 4:The room was a bit too warm, we had been given a fan to help though. We would've liked water in the room
Review 5:Very helpful staff, good location for visiting the centre and nice choices for breakfast
Review 6:Nothing to dislike, all good.
Review 7:Location, parking & wifi all good. Immaculate room, so clean & lovely - all great. Was extremely hot when we arrived after a v long trip from Scotland - bottle of ice cold water was very thoughtful welcome; a personal touch most appreciated! Fan in room most welcome. Staff all friendly, helpful & professional. This is the 2nd year we have stayed here & would highly recommend.
Review 8:Very warm in room, cannot open window because of street noise, no cupboard for clothes, no more bacon at breakfast at 09h15, no elevator, no minibar, no hotel bar (only a machine without alcohol)
Review 9:Situation near centre, very clean
Review 10:There is not particularly something we loved at this hotel. Everything was outdated, rooms were very small and beds came out of another century. Staff was never seen the whole stay.
Review 11:Walls are very thin. We could hear people in the adjacent room - almost to the point of being able to clearly listen to their conversation. Wasn't a bother as we only stayed 1 night.
Review 12:This hotel was really good value considering the price paid for it, however, it did not feel like a cheap hotel. The rooms were very clean, modern, fairly big and bright. The staff are really helpful - we were late to check in but they arranged for us to be able to get in to the hotel easily.
Review 13:Clean, friendly, comfortable boutique hotel. Excellent location. A few minutes walk to the old centre and cathedral. Good choice of restaurants too.
Review 14:The front of house staff were the most welcoming I experienced in my six weeks in Italy/France.The very kind lady even offered to carry my extremely heavy case up to the room! Way beyond the usual welcomes!!I was early for breakfats but again there was no drama. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:The Reception staff were exceptional. Made us feel very welcome. Enjoyed the evening drinks and nibbles to meet other travelers.Excellent breakfast.
Review 17:Not parking on site but there was one across the street( free only for night, i think 7pm- 9am) wi-fi code was given but only for on that day and only for an hour. It should be accesable any time.
Review 18:Very friendly stuff Kind and polite Clean comfortable room we suddenly had to extend our stay but they kept same room for us, didnt need to change the room.
Review 19:The parking was down the street in a free lot if you could find a spot. Otherwise you have to pay for parking in a lot across the street.
Review 20:Alexandra and most of the staff were a great help and so friendly. The beds were comfortable and yhe room was clean.
Review 21:No lift. We knew this when we booked, as hotel details point this out clearly. However, we didn't expect a steep spiral type staircase, which is not easy with or without luggage. Then again, the extra exercise was probably good for us :)
Review 22:Location, very close to cathedral & bars/restaurants all within walking distance. Spotlessly clean & comfortable room. Great nights sleep. Staff helpful. Car park right across the road, very convenient. .
Review 23:A description of the entrance of the public parking (you have to enter it before you reach the hotel) would be very helpfull.
Review 24:The location of the hotel is excellent for a visit of Orléans. The staff is friendly and helpfull. Even with my bad French. Breakfast was good.
Review 25:Everything in terms of welcome, comfort, cleanliness and food was as one would wish. Very helpful being on thy ground floor with access to outdoors.
Review 26:Summer heat meant open windows (no aircon) but too much noise from busy road outside. Either get a back room or go when it is cooler
Review 27:Clean, efficient, well appointed
Review 28:Steep narrow stairs and no lift. Fine for us but some might like a lift.
Review 29:Family 'room' turned out to be an apartment on top two floors with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Review 30:Not a problem for us, but no lift
Review 31:Duplex style family suite: twin above, double below. 2x ensuites, 2x flat screens. ideal for older family. Very good value for money. Reception staff couldn't have been friendlier
Review 32:No hotel parking, but parking is available 50 metres away, plus larger car parking at railway station. Rooms not air conditioned.
Review 33:Location, room quality, staff, breakfast, rooms size. Very good breakfast options available.
Review 34:Room was very small, had to move chair to accommodate luggage. Bed right next to door! Weird security system. Luckily a fellow guest appeared when we couldn't get in front door with the crazy key. Staff didn't know that parking lot across the street was for only three hours, had to park underground over a mile away!
Review 35:Good location. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Great breakfast. Room quiet and properly dark at night. The staff was helpful in storing our luggage.
Review 36:Lack of a lift to the third floor. Not an issue for us, but possibly for older travels.
Review 37:Family room was excellent. Modern, very clean. Breakfast was superb. Staff very friendly and could speak very good English. Excellent value for money. Will definitely stay again
Review 38:No lift. But the staff helps with your luggage. It is very nice!
Review 39:Everything is excellent! Very comfortable room (family) with two floors, both children and parents with private bathroom, comfortable beds. The staff is very attentive. Special thanks to Mary. Evening aperitif (free). Parking opposite (from 7 pm to 9 am free). Breakfast for children up to 12 years free of charge. Located conveniently in walking distance to all the attractions and restaurants. If there was an elevator - all 4 stars. We are very pleased with the hotel. Thank you.
Review 40:the "parents" room with a double bed was very small, just enough to walk around the bed.
Review 41:The suite was nice, clean and quiet; the beds were comfortable, there were two bathrooms. The kids room with twin beds was nice, bigger than downstairs.
Review 42:Narrow staircase with no rail. Uneven steps - trip hazard. No lift. Not recommended for elderly or infirm
Review 43:Very good staff
Review 44:No elevator. WiFi non working well. Rooms are small. Expensive respect what you get.
Review 45:The staff is friendly
Review 46:Prix. Côté too much

Review 80:Some shelves or extra drawers would be appreciated.
Review 81:Good location, 5 min from train station and 5 min from catedral. Clean nice rooms. Very reasonable breakfast.
Review 82:The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was very comfortable (major plus with the rolladens), and the location is a short walk to the major sites.
Review 83:We only had one night in Orleans-we would have liked to see more.
Review 84:Very welcoming and helpful staff. No lift but staff very helpful with luggage. Easy walk to cathedral, rail station and eateries. Nice breakfast at hotel.
Review 85:Comfortable bed, quiet, staff are very friendly and helpfull. Well located although hard to find if you don't know the area. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 86:Really friendly staff and very helpful. They organised cycle hire for us and could not have been more efficient. Very convenient for the station and a short walk into town. We enjoyed cycling along the Loire so much we may be back with our cycling buddies
Review 87:You've got to be kidding..
Review 88:Arrived late after desk closing. Sign with my name and a contact number taped to the door. Night clerk, a lovely young woman originally from Russia, came from home..I repeat, from home to check me in and fix me up with some tea and croissant. This was 01:00. Outstanding service! ..Comfort and breakfast equally outstanding. Will always return when in Orleans. Merci a bientot..
Review 89:If you had a physical disability would miss not having a lift in the old wing.
Review 90:Location excellent to train and city centre . Great value for money, The manager very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend hotel to others
Review 91:Lack of lift but this cannot be helped and does not detract from everything that is great about this hotel.
Review 92:Really helpful staff. Very clean and tidy with fresh, modern decor.
Review 93:Great hotel well positioned close to downtown. Extremely friendly and efficient staff, modern, clean and a bit "artistic" rooms. That's the kind of hotel that a frequent traveller would like to find in every city he is visiting.
Review 94:Room was quite small but adequate. There is no lift in the hotel and I had to carry a 16 kilo piece of luggage up and down a flight of 40 winding stairs.
Review 95:Well located to the sightseeing and shopping in Orleans. Close to a lovely park.
Review 96:Don't be put off by the rather uninviting frontage of the hotel. The inside is impressive. Lots of parking places near by but unless your visit includes a Sunday and/or "Fete Days", as mine did you will have to pay.
Review 97:The fan provided in the room to counteract the closed windows was quite inadequate on a hot night.
Review 98:Hotel St Martin was clean and comfortable and the double-glazed windows masked the traffic sounds. Free overnight parking in the carpark opposite the hotel was a bonus.
Review 99:An enormous lack of power sockets. The hotel should really do somethingabout it. There was none in the bathroom. Had to plug out the televisionto use my hair dryer.
Review 100:The hotel offers clean rooms with modern bathrooms and is right in thecity center. The staff is very friendly. Good breakfast for only 8 euro.
Review 101:No lift, No air con.
Review 102:The rooms were really clean, spacious and modern. The staff were helpful. The location was excellent. Very central with excellent cheap parking available across the road.
Review 103:A very convenient stop over hotel, near to the old city centre; and especially close to the train station. Friendly staff, most helpful. Interesting old city.
Review 104:The bed had a surround at ground level which had dangerous metal corners. If this was removed there would be room for alarger more comfortable bed
Review 105:Good breakfast, friendly helpful staff
Review 106:Not a negative, but breakfast is 8 euros a person (in France, mosthotels do not include breakfast in the price).
Review 107:Hotel check in cuts off at 9pm, but when I called in advance to notifythe hotel of a late arrival, arrangements were made to access hotel, which worked out well.
Review 108:The staff were very friendly, welcoming & helpful. Our room suited our needs perfectly, and as we had our dog with us as well, staying in a ground floor room with outside access was great.
Review 109:Wifi free but not that strong. I should have asked for a code for each of our devices because the code only works with one! i have no reason to think it wouldnt have been forthcoming. The traffic noise does build up early in the morning but manageable
Review 110:The hotel looks pretty unprepossessing from the road but once in is surprisingly modern. Staff very good. Breakfast reasonably priced and varied. Very handily placed to wander into the city centre. Parking opposite in two large car parks - free after 18.00 ( I think) and before 9.00.
Review 111:No aircon but there was a fan in the room which helped a lot. Wasn't impressed with the places to eat in Orleans and you will be lost if you don't speak French as we were.
Review 112:We stay here for 3 nights we our 2 dogs. It was really friendly, lovely modern en suite rooms and the staff spoke really good English. Couldn't do enough to help. Dogs are €10 per dog per night
Review 113:Nothing to dislike
Review 114:Staff were very helpful and friendly, nice outside seating area which was much appreciated at night as it was very warm. Great family room on split level.
Review 115:The Hotel is on a busy street, so traffic noise can be an issue. Found the bed to be rather more than firm. The rooms are compact.
Review 116:Reception was very helpful.
Review 117:Nothing. I even stayed longer than I had planned...
Review 118:Smart and helpfull staff. Very personal attitude, quite 'homecoming'. Good possibility to keep the bike save during the night.
Review 119:on a very hot night aircon would have been nice as the room faced the main road and so opening windows made it noisy!
Review 120:Good location, easy parking, comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff
Review 121:English speaking and very helpful staff, beautiful rooms, and great bathroom facilities, combined with a great location within 5 mins walk from the town centre, and with public parking across the street. All in all, a very nice hotel.
Review 122:Leaving!
Review 123:Unassuming facade giving way to very stylish decor, and high Portugese standards thoiughout. Particularly liked the little internal courtyard, with a small, comfortable lounge area beside it - most welcome on hot days! Friendly, helpful staff and lovely breakfast.
Review 124:Nothing to write about.
Review 125:Great location for the city. Hotel staff very very helpful indeed. The hotel is very modern and well appointed. great stay, many thanks.
