Reviews for Hôtel Les Arcades
Review 1:We had a slight problem with a double billing at the end. There was a man helping solve the problem that was screaming which was unfortunate as everything else was amazing and it was our last moments at this wonderful place.
Review 2:This place was magical. The village was breathtaking. The room was clearly from a centuries ago. Tons of charm. We loved the balcony overlooking the mountains. The restaurant on the square associated wit the hotel sold everything we needed.
Review 3:tiny telephone booth shower Sofa small and uncomfortable Poor wifi, but i suspect the whole village has the same problem.
Review 4:balcony View Cleanliness Staff Pool Gardens Location Quietgood breakfast
Review 5:The water could have been hotter and I couldn't get the water from the shower to transfer over to the bath taps, in order to fill the bath.
Review 6:The room was excellent. It had a very comfortable four-poster bed and the view over the street was memorable. Very good wi-fi network. Although I didn't use the dinning facilities this time, I believe they are very good.It is very quiet at this time of the year but the proximity to the medieval church for the midnight mass was magical.
Review 7:if something, all the stairs to get to our room, but we knew this when we made our reservation
Review 8:The amazing view from our balcony. The art collection. And the price.
Review 9:The location of this hotel is beautiful. Our room was at the top of the hotel (lots of steps) and had a little terrace with a lovely view of the surrounding country. Free car park approximately 300 metres, outside the town. Excellent value.
Review 10:Paid for superior room which was above kitchen. Cooking smells pervaded room. Very noisy late at night and again in morning when staff finished/started work. Very hot but no air conditioning or fan for 100€ a night. Staff indifferent. Bathroom area in bedroom dated, basic and open plan. Separated from bedroom area by a low wall. No privacy. Double bed was a small double. Stairway dangerous. A restaurant/bar with rooms not a boutique hotel. No redeeming features. Very disappointed as experience did not match hotel description.
Review 11:Guest should be aware that in summer the restaurant works quite late and it can be a bit noisy, but other than that everything else was perfect.
Review 12:It is a great experience to sleep in this medieval building and has a lot of character. The restaurant is excellent and the staff is wonderful, especially our dearest friend Mr. Francis. We have visited the restaurant for almost 15 years and this was the first time we stayed at the hotel... simply amazing atmosphere. Once you visit the Arcades, you will fall in love with it for life!.
Review 13:The authenticity of the place and its staff. Its central location in the village, its ambiance and the artwork adorning the hotel walls. The room had a balcony and beautiful view; it was spacious very comfortable and great value for money.
Review 14:Quite noisy as our room was above the restaurant - this was okay as we arrived late & wanted to wake up early. If not it would've been a problem. Staff could've been friendlier - we were welcomed by the hostess swearing to herself while she searched for our keys, then were left to roam the corridors by ourselves searching for our room, which was not numbered properly.
Review 15:Huge room with lots of character, big comfortable bed, very clean, nice bathroom, good price, good location.
Review 16:you have to leave your car 300 m away
Review 17:A very peculiar "homme del art", which you with no doubt need if travelling in Cote d´Azure, don´t miss this if you think that tourism is to collect memories!
Review 18:Charming hotel,lovely big room,beautiful bathroom,good food.
Review 19:We enjoyed the local atmosphere and characters. We also ate a superb dinner in the evening.
Review 20:Stairway was precarious.
Review 21:We asked for a quiet room, but we had a very noisy one and I couldn't sleep a wing!
Review 22:An old nice house in the center of Biot, kitchen very good!
Review 23:bit noisy
Review 24:llocation food
Review 25:central location excellent value for money a mythical place where many artists have turned super kitchen
Review 26:Noise from restaurant/bar below might disturb some. It subsided at a fairly civilized hour except on Saturday night.
Review 27:Our room decor and furnishings were unique and wonderful. The smells from the restaurant below were fabulous. The atmosphere was lovely. The location was absolutely beautiful -- the arcade leads to the old church, and is a very special site in and of itself.
Review 28:Restaurant staff unfriendly to non-locals & more so if they are non French speaking. We had poor service & since no one else was seated near us down in the bar area, I couldn't tell if others were ignored as we were. We're pretty sure-footed but the very old & very worn wood steps were tilted the wrong way & winding & very dangerous. Also dining noise was very loud until 2:00 AM.
Review 29:Room & location were great. Our room w/ fireplace was very "old world" charming; large and comfortable. Bed was a four poster. Large, nice bath with tub and shower. Restaurant downstairs popular w/ locals.
Review 30:Feel my lack of being able to speak French a disadvantage, the staff had no English.
Review 31:It's quirky real old fashioned France . Lovely village setting in fabulous Biot.
Review 32:One waiter was extremely rude and ill mannered , he knows who he is , our other two waiters were lovely. Because of him we did not have breakfast there.
Review 33:Village centre full of atmosphere.roomat the top with a lovely terrace and splendid view.
Review 34:No air-condition
Review 35:Location is "different" Hotel is "different" Viewfrom balcony Clean and comfortable Free parking outside old Biot(~400m(?) away from hotel) pricing, definitely worth of money!
Review 36:It's an old building - so bathroom is not state of the art, get over it! It's popular with locals, so some bar noise if you retire early. Parking is in village centre carpark with uphill walk which could be a problem if mobility impaired.
Review 37:Friendly service. Excellent food. Wonderful old building, décor and furniture with displays of owners original artwork in rooms and restaurant. Village centre location to browse beautiful historic village. Popular with locals. Very comfortable and going back. Overall, very pleased.
Review 38:Car access is very limited, this being due to the geographical conditions.
Review 39:I liked the very French atmosphere, simplicity and the charm of that old place (including the incredible charming room).
Review 40:Was initially directed to wrong room despite booking a superior room.Facilities quite basic and tired. Lighting v poor in bathroom.
Review 41:Location was very pleasant. A bit quirky.
Review 42:Nobody was there even not on the day of departure.
Review 43:It is not easy to move to other places, there is only 1 bus.

Review 45:Shower was not great
Review 46:Quirky rooms with lots of character
Review 47:The noise. No cars, but council vehicles start very early in the morning
Review 48:Very French, great food, intimate surroundings
Review 49:Shower wasnt great
Review 50:Quirky rooms, quite grand. Not your standard white, souless kind of room.
Review 51:Bathrooms a bit old fashioned,( Shower pretty useless.no shampoo.)
Review 52:Unique, old world, casual, laid back staff. Amazing location.
Review 53:The bathroom, needed a proper shower.
Review 54:Room was nicely done, very Provençal
