Reviews for Aparthotel Tropic Garden
Review 1:We had a massive thunder storm and the indoor pool area and gym got flooded and rain poured in at the reception area! Not good.
Review 2:The bedroom (3127) was very lovely. It was a one bedroomed apartment but as we were AI we didn't use the kitchen bit. Lovely large balcony.
Review 3:A little out of the way, but that's just for me as I wanted to explore the island, but a 10 mins walk from resort centre which had a bus station to visit other resorts
Review 4:Great for the price! Hotel lovely & clean. Food nice.
Review 5:none really only shower was cold on a couple occasions
Review 6:Had a fantastic time with my family will be going back too renew our marriage vowels at Babylon beach
Review 7:very small dislike is the shower is very cold at peak times of the day. But this is not a worry as every thing else is perfect
Review 8:The whole Experience, View, the location, room, wonderful food, the space and pride all the staff took in the hotel. Everything in our stay was brillant and we loved our hotel and will be back many more times
Review 9:The all inclusive isn't worth it for young children really. Good was fairly good but after 2 or max 3 nights we just needed something different, we didn't eat there at all the last 3 nights. Sorry chef !
Review 10:It was clean , the location was good , short walk to the marina
Review 11:We went in the height of Summer so were lots of people in the hotel.
Review 12:Entertainment staff went above and beyond to make it a fun holiday for the kids. Food was great. Beautiful views over the sea. Very child friendly.
Review 13:Was disappointed. This was not 4* accomodation. It needs a major overhaul, paint peeling, 1980s decor, drains smelt near the swimming pool - and the gym/spa was a hazzard, very very tired, limited/dated equipment - wrong flooring - was constantly watching didn't slip over
Review 14:Staff we helpful Location good, 10 minute walk to marina and sandy beach
Review 15:Restaurant is like a school dining hall. Needs air conditioning and some atmosphere. Staff clear table before you have finished your meal and reset for next sitting. The rooms are quite basic and air conditioning is limited. TV is tiny. Advertised 4 pools and there is only 1 really.
Review 16:Reception staff were attentive and helpful. Pool nice. Food okay. Evening entertainment available. Good children's area for under 7's not much for over 7's.
Review 17:Animation. It was way too much. Especially in the evenings. I put my 1 year old son to bed around 9pm but loud music & screaming continued up until 11pm (!) every day. And during daytime, too (( when he had his daytime nap. It's impossible to avoid it if you stay at the hotel as all activities take place in the middle, & all rooms face it.. And air-conditining.. it barely worked. They have an old central system, which obviously requires renovation. Actually, it's time to put individual air-conditioners in all hotel rooms, i think.. There was no-one to help with luggage.. When we checked out, I had to carry huge suitcases & bags myself, & also to look after my son at the same time. During check-in a reception guy agreed to help. I wish they just has someone to take care of it. I wish breakfast was until 11am. There is basically no beach there. You can go outside the hotel territory, & there are some rocks & a stone entrance to the sea, which you can try.. But not very comfortable, especially if you have small children. Locals also swim with their dogs there..
Review 18:Food was great, very wide variety, even though we don't eat meat. There was even free beer & wine for lunch & dinner, & cava for breakfast! Swimming pools were good. Kitchen was in a separate room, which was convenient. Terrace was huge, so my son could play there, & even ride his scooter. It was also possible to park in front of the hotel free of charge. All in all, I liked the hotel but if you are travelling with a small kid who needs regular naps & if you prefer sea to the swimming pool, that's definitely not your place.
Review 19:Not enough sun shade umbrellas for the amount of sun beds and people.
Review 20:Entertainment team and staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Food was very good, offering plenty of selection at all meal times.
Review 21:If I was being really really picky. Breakfast finish time to early. And no option of food after 9.30pm.
Review 22:Everything is just lovely. I would recommend this resort.
Review 23:There were a few babies close by when we were having our breakfast and they were a bit noisey.
Review 24:This was our second visit to these apartments as we enjoyed ourselves so much the first time. We liked everything. The staff made us feel very welcome and our apartment was perfect. We asked for pool view and we got it. The food is amazing especially the choices for dinner! apartment to the food and the entertainment. The staff also were very helpful.
Review 25:Definitely not a four star facility. Many broken and damaged part to building. Not the cleanest place and room facilities quite poor.
Review 26:Location is very good, just a short walk away from main town and very quiet.
Review 27:-The hotel is quite old, nothing like what you see in the pictures. Its not like a 4 star Hotel at all. -Smells of old place, smells of sewage and although rooms cleaned daily, but cannot hide old furniture, or rusted pipes, corners or unsealed places. -Ancient kitchen in the living room & a bit dangerous, never seen such an old kitchen in hotels. -Hotel is next to sea but on cliffs, 20 mins walk from the nearest beach and town centre. Nothing much around the hotel actually. -Food was quite bad and cold, we were bored the first day itself with not much variety or changes. There was not even decent black tea during breakfast, however the resto staff were very kind and friendly and even prepared something we requested for my little son. -Evening entertainment gets quite loud.. -Water in indoor pool and Jacuzzi was dirty
Review 28:Decent pool and pool area with lots of sun beds, Overall helpful, friendly and nice staff in reception, resto, entertainment, all places Room cleaned daily Nice large balcony overlooking the sea and pool area Decent wifi in rooms, poor signal but still for free.. Children entertainment and staff were very good, kids loved the mini-disco and shows. Small shop nearby to buy your daily holiday stuffs..
Review 29:Very nice apartment complex with a nice pool+plenty of sun beds. Great location, only a 20minute walk from the town centre, felt very safe and free on street parking. Great buffet breakfast!
Review 30:Childrens entertainers very loud, disturbed poolside dozing! Childrens entertainment went on all evening
Review 31:Staff were very helpful and friendly Lovely selection of food Very clean Good sized apartment Indoor and outdoor pools
Review 32:Cold food at meal times. However they did fix this after five days.
Review 33:Entertainment team leroy and Javi. Clean Friendly staff Relaxed Indoor heated pool
Review 34:A fair walk into town, but pleasant promenade, with park on way.
Review 35:Indoor pool was a lifesaver and reason I booked this hotel. Sunny days, but too chilly in the outdoor pool even for brave little ones that lasted only 5 mins!
Review 36:The hotel is very clean and welcoming. In a great location near the beach and resort centre. The staff are so helpful and the cleaning staff are superb, cleaning our room everyday with fresh bedding and towels. The resort is perfect for all ages with the beach and park for the children and many restaurants and bars to pick from, all at great prices and friendly locals. We will def be back again next year.
Review 37:The staff are very friendly and helpful, the receptionist remembered us as a returning guest. They offered a very good choice of food, we went all-inclusive. We hope to return again next year.
Review 38:The indoor pool could do with a good clean.
Review 39:Really liked the location, a nice stroll into town. The reception staff were great - really nice to be answered in the language you ask the question in for a non-native Spanish speaker such as myself. The rooms were very well looked after by the friendly cleaning staff. Waiters and waitresses were very welcoming and my daughter (a fussy eater) found plenty to eat and looked forward to mealtimes as she could see her friends again (the waitresses).
Review 40:- Not well maintained at all ; cracked tiles, rust, milky water indoor pool - Extremely noisy in room (from 6AM-10AM and from 18PM until 23PM) because of restaurant. Avoid restaurant tower first floor rooms! Seats moving on marble floor continuously ! - Tired furniture (possibly the original since the hotel opened 25 years ago?) - Distance from (tiny) beach and down town when traveling with young kids - Food quality and variety (swimming pool bar only accepts cash money?) - Constant annoying draught wherever you are in the building - During check out not a single thank you or did you enjoy it
Review 41:Nothing.
Review 42:Brilliant place to get some relaxation in the sun, great size hotel, amazing pool, lovely location easy walking distance to Santa Eularia where there are quaint little beaches, the marina and restaurants. Big balconies and fairly decent food on the all inclusive option.
Review 43:Tropic Garden is a fantastic aparthotel with the nicest staff at Ibiza. We enjoyed it very much, also because of the beautiful weather at the end of October which felt like the desert to the summer
Review 44:This place needs some serious work. Beds collapsed, kitchen facilities broken. Extremely hot foyer and most other public areas. Food was either complete rubbish, or ruined by the staff. Stay away
Review 45:Air con, balcony, a.i. beer was good
Review 46:My only gripe is the gym Has no air con. Even better, and would sort me right out would be a couple of cheap large fans that I could point at myself whilst cycling. Done
Review 47:Loved this Hotel..don't believe any of the people who would find something wrong with a 7* Hotel in paradise wher George Clooney & Brad Pit serve the ladies strawberrys off silver trays wearing speedos. This place is great. Best all inclusive we've been to. Staff at dinner are quick efficient and friendly..great choice of food, beautifully presented, all in a lovely dining area. The entertainment staff are also amazing. Really loving what they're doing, not just going through the motions. Well done Javier, Kelly & friends. Brilliant place, would go back tomorrow.
Review 48:Good value
Review 49:Really good room/apartment, great breakfasts
Review 50:Children being entertained till 9.30...would prefer if they were in separate areas
Review 51:Location of hotel, lovely cliff walks
Review 52:Beds in bedroom were way to hard I woke up sore every morning and I'm only 31
Review 53:Very clean , good food , nice staff , plenty of beds and umbrellas
Review 54:Everything fab
Review 55:Food was amazing. Rooms were clean and spacious
Review 56:2 single beds and not a double. Food not always hot
Review 57:Separated bed & Internet
Review 58:View
Review 59:needs slightly better.
Review 60:The garden and pool. Fantastic.
Review 61:The room had a funny smell
Review 62:Friendly helpful staff
Review 63:Weather (not your fault) !!
Review 64:Size of the balcony included in the pool side view room.
Review 65:WIFI not available in our room As a mature couple quite a walk to town. Too much smoking around pool.
Review 66:Breakfast. Room Quite peaceful
Review 67:Food quality very poor
Review 68:Location
Review 69:Dated decor.
Review 70:Great pool area.
Review 71:The food at the pool bar was very poor, staff at that bar were unhelpful and dismissive if you were not an all inclusive customer!!
Review 72:Room was a great size, balcony was a great size and we had the sun all day in it.
Review 73:My only minor complaint is that the wifi wasn't great in the part of the hotel our room was in.
Review 74:We had a fantastic time here, I would seriously recommend it for anyone with young children. Lovely place, superb food (we didn't start out all-inclusive but upgraded to it and loved it), smiling and helpful staff, and a perfect location near a lovely town and beach. We enjoyed it so much we may even return later this year!
Review 75:too many kids and our room was directly above the entertainments. The air cond didn't really work and the staff were a bit arrogant
Review 76:hotel was clean but needed a facelift.
Review 77:Price seemed excessive for a 4 night stay.
Review 78:Staff and cleaners always helpful and cheerful regardless of the time of day or night. Always a friendly face.
Review 79:Neer enough staff at the Bar or Pool Bar. Beds in the rooms are very uncomfortable. Irons but no ironing boards, very bizarre. Food was ok, but ciuld be served warmer. No snacks avaiable later than 9.30pm, so if your out all day you cannot eat when you return. Never enough sunbeds by the pool.
Review 80:The facilities were great for the group we were travelling with, as they had kids and the hotel does cater well for couples with children.
Review 81:The head of reception was very rude and aggressive - overcharged us for almost everything. Told us one thing, then when we checked out told us another thing! The girls on reception do a great job but its let down by one or two very rude staff. The food was ok, good selection and what you would expect for All Inclusive plans .... the pool bar food wasn't the best but did the job!
Review 82:The location and the hotel itself was very nice. Only a short walk from the town and beautiful marina. Not far from other towns across Ibiza either.
Review 83:rooms small beds very uncomfortable my parents had dirty bed linen behind a chair the 4 days we stayed
Review 84:the view from balcony was excellant (sea view was extra) large dining area and reception pool was good
Review 85:Room was over band stand and there was no opportunity to move the room to an equally nice room further away from the band stand. We have a young baby and the noise between 8:30 and 11pm was extremely loud and proved difficult to get baby to sleep.
Review 86:Pool Area
Review 87:Price of drinks at hotel, could not get a sun bed if did not get up very very early, location little away from resort centre, overall did not have "sparkle and polish"expected of a 4 star' more like a good 3 star.
Review 88:Price, very very clean and we'll maintained, staff very helpful, all the basics covered, good pool and rooms. Self catering facilities in the rooms very helpful as well as having hotel facilities.
Review 89:As a Brit I like a mug of tea, so the cups were a little small.:)
Review 90:The accommodation felt very well kept, like new. The view of the sea everyday from the balcony was perfect. The staff were very helpful. The location was brilliant for walking along the coastal path to great beaches.
Review 91:wooden chairs on tiled floors, all hotels need to look at this fundemental issue. The noise can be unbearable...
Review 92:Friendliness of staff, they would find you an answer whatever the question..
Review 93:noisy cleaning trolleys down corridors (rubber wheels?); door slamming at night (door stops); no wifii in most rooms,
Review 94:size of rooms, balcony - like a small apartment. Location convenient walk to town
Review 95:We stayed for a few days in Tropic Garden. Comfy apartments, great swimming pool with a nice children's pool which is suitable for toddlers and other young children. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good family friendly place, about 10 mns walking from the centre of Sta Eulalia.
Review 96:Rooms basic Beds squeaky Kitchen area tired Balcony didnt get any sunpast 9am and when we asked to be moved got told the hotel was full butit wasn'T.
Review 97:Great pool very clean hotel The Entertainment staff were hardworking and fun.
Review 98:that it didn't have real beach access. pool was COLD! lights on the balconies were annoying at night--too bright.
Review 99:walking distance to center. ease of parking on street. i'd recommend it for families. staff was quite good, professional. very pleased with childrens' play area and evening entertainment.
Review 100:There was a considerable noise echoing around the inner area,. even worse perhaps on the 3rd floor where we were. This came from a games table that rang noisily every time a slider hit the sides, and this went on until midnight! The chirping frogs were much nicer, though a bit noisy.
Review 101:The way everything in the apartment was tidied up every day during our stay, without disturbing us. Also, the way the small bed was fixed the day after it broke - very efficient! All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 102:The indoor pool stank. The hot tub was not hot and was cloudy and gross. The whole underground area was not nice. I felt bad letting the kids swim in the cloudy dirty smelly pool. The Wifi did not work at all except for in the lobby. I complained a few times and was just told that they were working on the Wifi and it would be working as soon as they could sort it out. I talked to someone who had been there for over a week and they never had Wifi. The TV did not work well, The channels did not come in well enough to see.
Review 103:The room was clean, The staff were friendly.
Review 104:Hotel quite a walk away from the beach and centre. Indoor pool was very small and hot tub in need of refurbishment. Beds were very uncomfortable, two single beds pushed together to make a double.
Review 105:Hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Hotel facilities excellent. Wonderful range of food in the restaurant. Evening entertainment was brilliant, we were on our feet dancing. Outdoor pool wonderful.
Review 106:Poor wi-fi connection (if at all) in the room. A pain for the modern child and their need for social network contact.
Review 107:Great facilities, clean and tidy. Located just outside town and within an easy stroll to the marina and town centre. Would definitely book again!
Review 108:No information about the hotel or activities was given, we had to research that information on your own. The hotel was not on or near a beach.
Review 109:The hotel was definitely a family hotel. Families with small children will find it great.
Review 110:Bar area - lacked atmosphere, looked a bit like an old people's home.. When there was something on i.e. evening entertainment it was deafening and impossible to escape from.
Review 111:Sports facilities for our children (aged 10 and 13) very good.
Review 112:The wi fi was very slow and tempremental, not ideal as I needed it for work and ended up using my data roaming in the end. Still - this would not affect most holiday makers...
Review 113:Very quiet nights, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, good location, lovely little market opposite to it, the boys want to come back next year!
Review 114:Food and drinks overpriced if you are not all inclusive but eroski supermarket only a ten mins walk away and great restaurants in Santa eularia. Spar across the road good for morning bread and pastries. Kitchen in the room a little dated but reflected in the price we paid.
Review 115:Accomodation at a very reasonable price. Es Canar and the hippy market a short bus ride away and Santa Eularia beach, marina and town only a ten mins walk. Staff very helpful and rooms cleaned every day. Pool great for the kids.
Review 116:I would say this is 3 star rather than 4. Rooms are in desperate need of a refurbishment, our cupboard doors were all badly damaged and chipped. The 'kitchen' area is tiny with one very small side housing the stove top and sink and no spare work top. The sitting area was also very small.
Review 117:Apartments were clean and staff were very pleasant. Nice sized pool with a decent amount of sun beds.
Review 118:Furniture of our room very old and humble (not in line with a 4* hotel). Wardrobe very small (we left part of our cloths in the luggage)
Review 119:+ The apartments are very big and in our case there was a nice terrace + Swimming Pool area
Review 120:small room with 2 small beds which were little more than berths. the mattress was simply a piece of foam rubber. dirt on the floor never cleaned. wifi connection often unstable.
Review 121:good common areas, nice swimming pool. friendly staff. good for families with little kids and retired peole.
Review 122:Beds are thin and hard (they look cheap). No chocolate in the breakfast banquet despite its size. I was next to the main air-conditionning room of the hotel (annoying continuous noise during the night) No direct path to the beach. The wifi only works near the reception and the swimming pool.
Review 123:The breakfast banquet is huge (a lot to eat). The appartments are very spacious. Each room has a private balcony. The hotel is very quiet. No annoying parties during the evening/night. Free and fast wifi (i was able to use skype easily).
Review 124:Rooms are dated and very basic (but clean). Advertised as 4*, but in ouropinion, no more than 3*.The Spar across the road is very expensive. There are many other supermarkets within 10 minutes walk which are considerably cheaper. There were lots of kids at the hotel, so it got noisy, but I suppose if you're a family this would be a positive, as there seemed to be a lot of planned activities to keep them occupied.
Review 125:Great pool area with plenty sun loungers and lots of space. We booked a sea view room, and were disappointed when arriving to find the sea view was only visible when hanging over the balcony! We expressed this to reception and the next morning they managed to get us what we asked for, even though the hotel was very busy. If you want an open sea view, with all day sun, you need to be in a superior apartment on the end (these are what are pictured on the website with sun loungers). 5 minutes walk to the port and 10 minutes around promenade to beach, with lots of amenities close by. Most people seemed to be all inclusive but we chose breakfast only - the food was surprisingly good with a massive choice. Try "Royalty" restaurant in the main Plaza next to water feature, for some authentic tapas, great staff and a cheap bill!!
Review 126:Only little annoyance was people leaving their towels on the sun beds early in the morning and not returning for two or three hours - if something could be done to prevent this it would be great.
Review 127:Just returned from the Tropic Garden Hotel after staying there with my family and a group of friends. It is a well located hotel: approximately a 10 minute walk to the marina where there are lots of good restaurants and about a 15 minute walk to the beach. We found the staff throughout the hotel to be very pleasant and helpful. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis and the hotel itself was always clean and tidy. The kids had a great time in and around the pool and the children's entertainers were great. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we would definitely consider stopping there again.
Review 128:This time had a pool/sea view, but it was so noisy, so no chance for a lie in!! Also sun bed blockers (those who put their towels down at dawn and then go on the bed mid afternoon) ....I have never experienced this at this hotel before and it was disappointing.
Review 129:Have stayed here lots of times before as you get everything you need for a self catering holiday and its in a great location and resort.
Review 130:dd not like how far frm the town it was not much goin on around de hotel and de beds were v uncomforable
Review 131:liked everyting about the hotel v claen and a lot of space i the rooms
Review 132:Screaming, badly behaved children & drucken loud guests in lobby. Children should not be climbing & jumping all over firnishings! I don't care if they're on holiday! I understand this is a fine line but staff needs to keep some form of order other then cleaning sand & muddy footprints off the couches, tables& chairs. Wifi also needs improving or don't advertise it.
Review 133:Staff was efficient & friendly.Hotel/apartments were clean, comfortable & well appointed.I had an efficiency that had 3 separate rooms and a very nice balcony complete w/ table & chairs. On the outskirts of town.Easy parking.Convenient grocery right across the street.Had everything but fresh seafood! Nice pool, restaurants & bar.If you didn't want to see the beauty of the island...there was no reason to leave.
Review 134:The beds they were two twins pushed together, didn't have a very good sleep.
Review 135:Hotel was very clean staff were all lovely, food was nice pool area was nice, could not ask for more really for the price.
Review 136:No beach next to the hotel. No nearby restaurants so if eating out at marina or in town it meant a pleasant 15 minute walk. Ok in normal circumstances but it rained for all 5 days we were there so we got wet a lot.
Review 137:Room design with sea view balcony. Room facilities. Well maintained. Food plain but tasty and plentiful if eating in. Good prices.
Review 138:Its way too noisy ....... The cleaning staff start at 8 am and you can hear every chair leg being dragged or bed made or trolley being pushed up and down the corridors . I would not want to stay there in high season cos can only imagine what it would be like if you had rowdy neighbours
Review 139:Hotel is spotless and the staff are over all very friendly and efficient . the rooms are well apportioned and the added bonus of hairdryer and complimentary toiletries was fantastic as we were travelling with hand luggage only . Lovely walk in to Sta Eularia which is a really nice part of Ibiza with some fantastic restaurants
The Fine Print
