Review 2：Les Hortensias Du Lac is the most beautiful hotel. It has bucket loads of personality and charm, and its location on the lake makes a wonderful backdrop to a lazy day beside the pool. The gardens are perfectly maintained and the staff here made our visit all the more enjoyable. I look forward to staying here again.

Review 6：Lovely location between the lake and the sea, this charming, small hotel has a way if making you feel cared for. The rooms are not large but are spotless and comfortable. Breakfast is a feast and available right up to noon.
Review 7：The breakfast buffet was €22 - far too expensive for us! Also, the mattress in the bedroom was very firm (hard!), and the room itself was very dark. I think a room overlooking the lake would have been much better if we could have afforded it! The hotel prices were also very high for the drinks - €7.50 for a 330ml bottle of Heineken. I would recommend it but only if you can afford it!
Review 8：The hotel had a lovely rustic feel, set in beautiful surroundings overlooking the lake, with the beach less than 10 minutes walk away. We had dinner in the lounge (no restaurant) and the Basque food was lovely. The infinity pool is beautiful - it feels as if you are swimming into the lake!
Review 9：I loved everything about it. The staff was ever so friendly, the room was just beautiful, with a terrace looking onto a magic scenery of tall pine trees and palm trees. The tranquil lake, the roar of the sea behind, the wonderful breakfast and the infinity pool. The simple elegance of the place.. I will return time and time again. I am so glad I found this hotel...

Review 11：We had a fantastic few days and the hotel was beautiful very peaceful. If I had one negative it was that my husband and I felt under pressure by one female employee to speak French, we tried very hard but I could not understand her. I asked one night for a glass of hot water to take a cold and flu remedy and I had to ask in English and I felt she was commenting about me to anothercouple sitting in bar. Despite this the 2 Isobel's were delightful, I feel I would have to brush up on my French comprehension if I was to return as I was embarrassed to ask for anything.

Review 33：Staff were amazing, very helpful and welcoming. Fantastic position right on the lake, 5-10 min bike ride from Hossegor town or the beach, giving it a peaceful location. Rooms are great with best shower and most comfortable bed I've slept on. The champagne breakfast was the perfect start to the day. If you are looking for somewhere to unwind and relax this is the place.
