Reviews for Mon Hotel Deauville Sud
Review 1:It was a small room with the balcony as the only place to eat fairly comfortably. The sav nav did not bring us close based on the area code and we had to go to the tourist office for help to find the hotel. Bed clean but stained carpet.
Review 2:An adequate room with essential equipment. Free parking. English speaking receptionist.
Review 3:Breakfast cereals could have been more varied. Choice of milk could have been better, ie skimmed, semi skimmed full
Review 4:Good location for my requirements and quiet.
Review 5:The hotel had the entire access road closed for maintenance (they weredigging it up) big lorries, by Tarmac all over the place. It noisy andyou couldn't access the car park most of the time. When you could(when the lorries moved out the way) my car got literally covered inTarmac and tar. No mention on website before hand what-so-everThe rooms are not clean. They are cleaned to a basic standard. There was a hair in the bath and sink upon arrival, for example. The carpets are stained. And there is dust in most parts of the room.
Review 6:Great location. Nice and private but near shops. Had road have been openand finished parking is secure.
Review 7:The breakfast was poor, with only cold food.
Review 8:New building, quiet location for comortable sleep, free underground parking that could fit our 1.9 m high van, fast wifi, clean and comfortable room.
Review 9:2 tiny plastic cups (vending machine type) in room for tea/coffee. Coffee / sugar sachets / cups not replaced during 3 night stay. Breakfast was a nightmare, no food, coffee had run out, and no knives (apparently in the dishwasher) I had to get one from our room! Room had small balcony with table & 2 chairs which were all covered in bird excrement (TV aerial fitted above balcony) Wifi code was given to us, but it only had 24 hours validity & when it ran out reception was shut. I could go on ....
Review 10:Off road parking, quiet out of town location.
Review 11:Difficult to find which was especially frustrating after long day on motorcycle to get there Expensive for what was on offer compared to price I paid on same trip in other locations for example same price as S/C apartment in Brussels city centre Not much on choice in terms of restaurants unless you want to drive, had to walk over 1 km but that was worth it
Review 12:Clean linen but carpet quite stained. Good wifi. No kettle but pots available. Bed comfortable
Review 13:Booked a 'Superior room', ours was not even close, dirty carpets, dirty fridge with pizza slices left by previous guest, broken light fittings, frankly we booked three nights and came close to leaving after one. My advice ... Look elsewhere.
Review 14:Location
Review 15:The hotel staff were very rarely available and when the were present they showed little interest in any problems. The kettle in our room had been broken by a previous guest, we asked for a replacement, but none was available. We were told that we would just have to put up with in. That interaction would typify the general staff attitude.
Review 16:Arrogant staff, not very helpful. Extra tourist tax added to the total price from booking.com. Run-down interior of building.
Review 17:Ok value for money. Ok price compared to location.
Review 18:Need a car to do anything other than hike. Nearby restaurant was very expensive and staff unfriendly, we left after a drink. The young chap in the hotel could do with cheering up and be more in tune with the guests.
Review 19:Location we know and like very much. Close to the beach at Deauville/Trouville with it's many amenities and restaurants .a good small shop nearby . close to the racecourse and within easy reach of the motorway
Review 20:the room was clean, but there were stains in the curtains and carpet. room for two people in the balcony at the same time, which wasn't practical because we were a party of four.
Review 21:free parking, friendly staff, quiet surroundings
Review 22:No cutlery or plates which is strange for a studio with cooking facilities
Review 23:Great location Friendly staff Comfortable
Review 24:kitchen a little small
Review 25:central location
Review 26:Convenient location, on-site parking, basic but good facilities
Review 27:Highly recommended
Review 28:No towels in the room, and no milk for tea and coffee
Review 29:Check-in at 15. The reception is closed from 11 to 15. Our room was not clean enough. Accomodation is really poor in comparison with prices.
Review 30:The staff welcomed us, spoke no english ...
Review 31:cleanliness carpets and garage TV out of order
Review 32:location room
Review 33:No dining facilities.
Review 34:Quiet location, excellent parking, local restaurants and shops. Clean room. Good value.
Review 35:Kitchen not fully equipped and lack of shower curtains.
Review 36:Good service and friendly staff. Kitchenette with a fridge/freezer and a kettle.
Review 37:As above
Review 38:The room was adequate but appeared larger on the photograph, with older children I would have booked 2 rooms had I realised
Review 39:Heerlijke bedden.
Review 40:staff always helpful
Review 41:The nearby scenery
Review 42:It's a good place to sleep and then leave for the day. Breakfast was not consistent (sometimes had variety of bread and other times not, sometimes yogurt and sometimes not), but they provided the basics (10 Euro per person for coffee, bread, some meat and cheese wasn't terrible). We rented the Jr. Suite but it was very small (one room with a pull-out). No place to eat for our family of 4 in the room. Parking area was in bad shape in many spots (hazard fencing around various areas). We scraped our car as a result of un-repaired metal lighting cage that was sticking out from the wall, but we were told they would pay for the damage.
Review 43:Kitchen was small, but functional. Utensils in the kitchen were OK. Very safe area with sidewalks. Walkable to a patisserie/boulangerie, small grocery and a couple other shops. Plenty of parking (off street). Staff was very pleasant (noticed that all very young). Location was good -- close to Deaville, and Trouville.
Review 44:Bathroom had mould. In loft room and managed to crack my head on an angled beam, I'm not tall either. Tea coffee facilities poor. Car park needed a clean, as if cement dust everywhere.
Review 45:It was cheap and cheerful, located out of town. Garaged parking available.
Review 46:Poor parking while registering. Unfriendly opening and closing hours. No restaurant facilities except breakfast. No signs or directions from main road.
Review 47:Clean modern rooms, good breakfast, French style. Excellent Wi Fi and TV reception.
Review 48:Very limited check-in times Poor breakfast Room key-cards very unreliable - it took us almost 30 minutes to get into our rooms after going out for an evening meal. There was no-one around to help and the telephone number listed did not work.
Review 49:- Reception often not manned (or womaned!) - Outside doors locked at 7.00pm in the evening. Only way in through garage (for which you would have to remember the code) - No toilets in the public areas--amazing! - Beds far too narrow!
Review 50:The view
Review 51:There's enough space for everything, with everything you would need in a room, including a very clean kitchenette with very well-maintained utensils. If only all hotel rooms have such quality at this price.
Review 52:When arriving after Reception was closed very much on your own with no explanation in English to help you.
Review 53:Everywhere was clean and tidy and staff helpful.
Review 54:All after hours access was through the car-park; front/reception door was locked. Room had large floor to ceiling windows in two walls without blinds (although it did have curtains); very light but not much daytime privacy. No draining board or drip tray with sink.
Review 55:Secure underground car-park. Room comfortable and well laid out; en suite had a bath with shower.
Review 56:the reception hours are very limited. and after that you have to call the manager if you have any problems. the reception is only open 4-5 hours a day. the entrance to the lower garage is very narrow. because the room comes with a kitchen the living space is very small. the hotel is not real in Deauville. it is far from any food source, eating at night requires driving at least 20 minutes.
Review 57:the room was way too hot.
Review 58:Perfect location for the race course. Room was comfortable and clean, staff were helpful giving us a ticket to get into the races for free and allowed us to park before check in.
Review 59:Room dirty to the keener eye No wardrobe in first room No shower curtain so flooded bathroom every time Reception not always manned Language barrier Expensive cab ride to deauville 20 euro
Review 60:Brilliant location Restaurants, cheap and more expensive , bar, bakery, general stores all within walking distance . Comfy bed Friendly staff Good value for money Visited Monet gardens, bayeaux, Rouen, honfleure , very easily from this location
Review 61:the corner room we had was not very private - two large double full-length windows so our room was viewed from 2 sides, top to bottom!
Review 62:Comfy beds and very clean
Review 63:The room wasn't prepared by 2 p.m. (as it must be). The location is absolutely not convinient if you don't have a car (the price of a taxi to the centre is 15-20 euros). Moreover, the place of this hotel on the google maps is wrong! Phone and check it. Almost no internet.
Review 64:The room is clean and nice. It's rather quiet around the hotel.
Review 65:Too far to walk to Deauville, but I knew before. I missed a toaster.
Review 66:Good to have a kitchenette with the room. It has a fine bathroom, everything was very clean. Private garage parking.
Review 67:Pull down bed for child was in front of the socket point for the kettle so had to move kettle to side table of bed. Not so safe.
Review 68:Corner room with 2 Balconies and windows that slanted open. Comfortable beds & pillows. Short walk to shops.
Review 69:The hotel was not clean. There were no place in the hotel if you wanted to eat something because there was no table in the room. There is no 24h reception. Blankets were dirty. There was no light in the bathroom and even if we asked for repair , nobody came to fix it. The price was very high for what the hotel offers.
Review 70:Only the location is good. Close to Deauville and other cities if you want to visit Normandy.
Review 71:Hotel was clean, comfortable, spacious rooms, private parking, safe area clean, well equipped kitchen. Good hotel for the price ,very handy for visiting Deauville and environment and surrounding villages .Very friendly staff.
Review 72:cleanliness and value
Review 73:Because I had a late arrival the hotel send me an e-mail and called me to inform me how to enter the hotel. Surroundings are very nice.
Review 74:Room was clean and comfortable. Nice place to stay.
Review 75:Animals are allowed as evident by the stained carpets.
Review 76:Modern and very tidy. Good location close to facilities.
Review 77:No staff on site after 9 pm?
Review 78:Very modern, clean and well priced
Review 79:privacy, the windows is open to all, every one can see you/
Review 80:Clean of the room
Review 81:Underground car parking had water dripping from ceiling and walls ! Grounds need attention.
Review 82:Bed comfortable, Staff friendly.
Review 83:Slow reception.
Review 84:Parking secure. Clean bathroom, copious hot water. No fuss.
Review 85:Very hot needed air coditioning
Review 86:Good room great price good facilities
Review 87:There was no towell or washcloth and brush in the kitchen
Review 88:Kitchenette - very cramped
Review 89:private carpark
Review 90:Lack of availability of staff on arrival.
Review 91:easy access to surrounding facilities.
